So what usually happens when domains get taken down for not being paid for? Doesn't the provider "hold it hostage" for a while or something and allow the original person a period of time to pay? Or is it just all taken down straight away? Is it possible for someone else to pay the fee to keep the site alive? I mean, it's only a couple of bucks right... lol

Really weird situation. We don't really know anything about the developer right? Any way to trace our payments to him?

Otherwise let's just hope he takes action when he notices money stops coming in... Quite a nice little passive income being missed out on now

So Monker site is back up but logging into Monkersolver still doesn't work. One guy mentioned he has malware on his computer after trying to login a couple days ago. Is that in anyway actually possible by simply opening the software and entering email+password?

does icm work for plo or plo8? mkr won't solve and i get null readings for all positions when i input icm info.

I’m debating buying this comprehensive simulations library that the Jnandez team created. If I’m going to buy this I want to make sure all the sims are highly accurate. I asked the team who said postflop sims were run to 25 iterations/node. And the pre flop sims were run to much higher iterations/node depending on stack sizes.

How do you guys feel about this level of accuracy, I have no bearing on how accurate this is but I would like to get opinions from the monker wizards

I have installed and uninstalled various versions of java but none of them work. It doesnt seem to come from java.

The only possible explanation I can come up with is that somehow something in the system prevents monker from launching but what? I have no idea. I am using a brand new gaming computer with the basic microsoft antivirus that came with the windows 10 install. So far the only things I have installed other than basic tools are poker sites, pt4, then steam and video games.

I have no other problems with that computer at all, everything other than monker runs smoothly.
I do not understand what is wrong, why monker doesnt launch at all.

I'm just reading back over your previous posts. You can purchase the full Monkersolver version from within Monkerviewer. Monkerviewer has a store where you can purchase the full file. The free Monker version is very limited in functionality, and may have some bugs as it hasn't been updated in a while.

I'm not sure what is causing the error with your free version, but you might want to go ahead and deactivate your antivirus anyway, because that might be causing the issue that you are experiencing.

Monker doesn't use a proprietary syntax. I would recommend using ProPokerTools generic syntax:

As the sims can become quite huge, whats the best way to storage but at the same be able to run them? Like, can I run them from an external harddrive such as an USB flashdrive or is my SSD always better?

It is possible to use external storage to load and save your sims. There are a lot of different options here. Whatever you think of using, you can easily Google the benchmark for the respective read/write times and compare it to an SSD. Read/write times don't affect Monker performance that much since they are only for loading and saving sims. Just stay away from solutions that only support USB 2.0. Those are antiquated and unnecessarily slow in 2019.

I have a weird bug in monkersolver. On server it works fine but when I try to click on the different tabs tree/solve/settings, new/save/load it doesn't work on laptop. Anyone had something similar or know how to fix it?

I'm having trouble getting MonkerSolver to start. After some experimentation I've noticed that if I rename either monkersolver.exe or monkersolver.l4j so that the file names are different (so say monkersolver.exe and monkersolver2.l4j or vice versa), it starts just fine except for saying I only have 0.2397gb of RAM. However if the files both have the same name, nothing happens. The monkey icon sometimes flashes quickly but often not even that, and I see no process appearing or any difference in CPU/memory consumption in task manager.


I'm using a dedicated server with Windows Server 2016 Standard, 64gb RAM and 16-core 2.10GHz Xeon D-1541. I have updated Windows and removed and reinstalled MonkerSolver and Java today. The problem started before the updates and doesn't seem to be affected by them (although I only noticed the filename thing afterwards so obv can't be 100% about that). I have also tried adjusting the -Xms and -Xmx values in the l4j file.


Anyone got experience with similar issues?

Does anyone else have issues connecting to the server through monkerviewer?
