Holy **** thanks, I'll see if I can get this going. I feel like when I try to get a tree restarted in the solve tab it says 'running' but never actually begins to run. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong lol.

Make sure that you load the full save file, not just one street, and then make sure to add threads using the '+' sign. When you reload a sim, it is reloaded with 0 threads as opposed to whatever the default is from the 'Settings' tab.

You can purchase a Monkersolver license from within Monkerviewer's store:

"The full version of MonkerSolver is available for €499 and can for the time being be purchased from the MonkerViewer Desktop in-app store."

Assuming you just mean a server to run the software on, I can recommend Contabo as a good value for money solution. To my knowledge there is nothing that competes in terms of performance at this price point.

Here is a guide for setting up a Contabo server if you are interested.

If you are looking for something with more than 256g RAM, I would recommend OVH. They are the best value for money if you want the best hardware up to 512g RAM.

Very nice. Thx!
I have an idea that 256gb would be enough for some 40bb and 100bb PLO preflop spots + 10-15 different postflop spots with same stacks?

Both my credit cards aren't being accepted by stripe for some reason. Is there any other payment method available?

It says "payment could not be processed" but both of them work fine and I use them regularly.

Re: MonkerSolver

i would like to build a tree for fixed limit o8 6players. how much ram would this require? any recommendations for a cloud server or would i be better off just buying a server? i see a bunch of 256gb ones on ebay, but am not even sure if they'd meet the requirements.
also, any tips on building or obtaining a 6 player tree? this seems like a monumental task to build.

Re: MonkerSolver

1) how do i build a 6max tree with all of the same actions as the hu lhe offered by monkersolver?
2) why does all of the postflop actions disappear after saving>closing>loading after i spent 10hrs solving?

It depends on what exactly you are trying to solve for at 100bbs, but up to 6-max is doable with the appropriate settings.

You can't group all 256g servers together, as there will be fairly large differences in performance. Typically the servers sold on eBay will have dated hardware, and I wouldn't recommend people buy them for Monkersolver.
As I mentioned above, Contabo or OVH will give you much better performance for your money. If you wanted to build your own server with more than 128g RAM, I would recommend this build in terms of value for money, but also performance.

It sounds like you are just loading one street. To see all the postflop actions, you will need to load the entire file.

Assuming you mean a full 6-max LHE tree, that would be incredibly large and not practically solveable with most modern hardware. Even just populating a tree of that size with bets will take hours.

Please try not to post the same question multiple times. You asked about the issue with postflop bets in three separate posts. That wasn't necessary.

Re: MonkerSolver

sorry. no, i meant that i saved and compressed, and all of the postflop solutions are gone. i'm clicking "load", not "load one street".
if i can't build a tree, how do i go about "solving" for 6max?

I would recommend contacting Stripe directly, I'm sure they will be happy to look into the issue for you.

Re: MonkerSolver

Hi,

I am interested in joining a monker solver study group if there is any? Just got introduced to solvers and rented contabo server. In the process of installing monker and was looking to join a study group to discuss hands, set-up issues etc.

If this has already been addressed in the forum please point me to the thread!!

It could be an antivirus program interfering with the operation of the program. Try to completely deactivate it if you one installed.

That depends on the accuracy and the game tree, but at a reasonable accuracy, I would say more than 1TB of RAM. To know for sure, you need the game tree you want, then you can experiment with the accuracy settings.

You can't receive PMs, because you don't have enough posts yet. There is a Skype group, but we can't publicly post the link anymore due to bots.

Seems like you can rent a machine that has 160 cores and nearly 4tb of ram. How long you think that hog would take for 9 handed plo. Are week talking a week or a month. Get should get a group crowd fund to do it for the love of the game as the results wont be super applicable for real life plo.

The tree size would depends on how big the accually whole game tree would be with every action available preflop but with just 3 bet sizes post 33 65 and pot and allowing donks with like 50 100 and 200bb
