I have done some testing and have two grids for those who wonder how Monker compares to Pio (keep in mind, we can only compare HU strategies, since that's what Pio can solve). Below you see BB's shove/call/fold strategy vs BTN min raise with 25bb stacks. The BTN open range was computed in a high accuracy MonkerSolver 3-way simulation (abstractions: 120 buckets perfect/perfect/large with convergence to 75 iterations/node) and then I ran a high accuracy Pio pre flop simulation (198 flops, converged to 2 bb/100) fixing BTN to that openrange to see how the Pio BB strategy compared to the MonkerSolver grid.
What bb did you use? I assume bb was 10?

Yes, it doesn't matter what blind size we use, as long as it's consistent with the stacks.

Going with the default structure in both programs:

250 in Pio with 1bb = 10 chips
50 in Monker with 1bb = 2 chips

It uses small blind = 1 chip, and the default setup is 1/2 with 200 stacks, that's right.

How long and how much RAM does multiway postflop solving takes comparing to hu spots in pio lets say? Is it much much more?

I'm considering buying Monker just because of the multiway features. Will I be able to run most of these locally with 32gb ram?

3 way NL 100bb takes really long like one day on 5820k 32gb ram might be enough. I hope dev will improve speed for post flop becouse now its too slow.

Can I log into multiple machines at the same time? Lets say I rent a server and leave a sim running for a couple of days. Will I be able to log into my own machine during that time?

Does it have an option for solving ante games like extra money in pot?

In the solution try right-click -> export for Monkerviewer anywhere on the ranges.

is there any way to edit the stack sizes of a tree?

for example i made a 5 handed nlhe tree at 100bb, and would like to run the same tree at 40bb without having to re-create the whole tree. can't seem to find a way to do this

edit: nvm, figured it out. for those that couldn't find it: there's a box to check when loading tree where you can then load that particular tree and edit the stack sizes

I've been running a HU PLO preflop sim. I'm doing 120/large/large/perfect. From Iteration/node 5 to about 14, neither players winrate has changed even by .1bb/100, nor have any of the preflop raise/limp/fold frequencies changed. Is this to be expected?

Monkersolver does 100bb MW pots correct like OTF 3-ways or OTT etc.?

Can someone explain the reset button to me? When/how often should I hit it?

If I’m reading correctly it will reset the ev listed, but is this all it resets? Like the output ranges in a preflop sim won’t be changed at all right?

I really think there should be some basic videos explaining the general usage of the program. At the moment I'm feeling like playing those ultra hard mario games built only to tilt the player

For larger preflop you need way more. 64gb is good for some postflop sims, but still very limited.

Thanks for it. I will pass then, and just wait for a cloud based solver, or wait some years to buy a laptop with 256gb ram or something like that haha

I just don't like desktops for travel issues
