being in the same folder as hm2 might be part of the problem.

try installing into a separate directory.

We're loading your system with trojans! muuwhaha.

Just so you know, any software that's not from a major label company, and connects to a remote server, virus scanners and firewalls can have a problem with. It just blanket tags them. That particular file is connecting to a remote database to get information. I'd tag it as a safe with your virus scanner and you'll be good to go.

In the spirit of making hand discussion easier and more meaningful, we added a cool new feature in Leak Buster NL v 4.0.2.5. Here's an over view of how to use it. I'll make a quick youtube tutorial and post it on Holdem managers site as well.

1) From Step 1 in Leak Buster, click on the HANDS tab from any leak you want to explore more.
2) You can right click on any hand you want to discuss further on a forum and click export to forum format. You can then paste the hand to most forums.
3) At the bottom of the hand, there will be a link that anyone can click on to send the hand to our equity calculator server. The hand will have the complete history in it, and you can select from which street you want to run a calculation on.
4) It will then auto generate hand ranges for your opponents and display the equity for that spot.
5) You can edit and change ranges, weight ranges as needed, and re-calculate.
6) You can then export those ranges and calculations back to the forum.

For me personally, one of the ways I became a really good player was hand discussion on forums like 2+2. I always wanted an easy way to talk about any hand posted in terms of range and equity. I got tired of a lot of post like, this person is all-in, should I be calling? Well... what range are you assigning him? I think this should aide in that discussion and make analysis a lot easier for anyone using it. We setup a server just to just run any of these calculation on. We'll be refining some of the AI range building as we go, but it's a great place to start overall.

So the goal with this feature is, once you run a Leak Buster analysis, you'll have all your critical leaks listed and you can find those hands with one click. Then you can export any of those tough spots or situations you have questions about. Post it, discuss it, analyze, and range build with an easy setup and interface. Anyone can participate in your discussion, they don't need Leak Buster.

Here's an example hand you can play with and see:

Leak Hand found and Converted by Leak Buster Poker Training Software

NL Holdem $0.5(BB)
SB ($30.05)
BB ($75.13)
UTG ($66.18)
HERO ($54.47)
CO ($50)
BTN ($48.25)

Dealt to Hero K A

UTG Folds, HERO Raises To $2.25, CO Folds, BTN Calls $2.25, SB Calls $2, BB Folds

Flop ($6.5) 3 4 8
SB Checks, HERO Bets $5, BTN Calls $5, SB Folds

Turn ($16.5) 3 4 8 J
HERO Bets $12.25, BTN Calls $12.25

River ($41) 3 4 8 J 7
HERO Bets $34.97 (all-in), BTN Calls $28.75 (all-in)

View this hand in the Poker Equity Calculator. Just click and it will auto load this hand.

So if you click the equity calculator link, you will be asked to load a street. You'll get your range and results, discuss based on those results. Re-weight (on the calculator right click on a hand to select frequency/weight) or remove some ranges and re-calculate.

I'm looking forward to using it.

Are you able to filter your database for leakbusting by, say, stake and/or date or do you have to create a new DB with just the hands you want to 'leakbust'?

Appreciate this isn't a support question necessarily but not sure where else to ask it...[

Another question...is this just for 6max as the ranges will vary for which game you play.

Also, can you combine hands played under multiple aliases like you do in PT4?

I use it with HM2 so I don't know how it works with PT4, but it simply runs the analysis for whichever player or alias you have selected.

Cool, thanks hopefully someone can shed light on how it works with PT4

For the steps that deal with stat ranges (steps 2 and 3), the ranges vary based on 6-max full ring, and stake level. So if you play micro stakes, there's going to be different ranges than if you play mid-stakes or small stakes.

You have to create the alias in PT4, and then you can select it from Leak Buster. You can't create alias inside LB, because you're using PT's database, and you don't want to add data that doesn't exist. As long as you create it in PT4, then you can select and use it in Leak Buster.

So where I have my alias in PT4 as my PS screen name and attached to that alias are my FTP and PP aliases LB will recognise that if I select my PS alias and bring in all hands?

I think I'll give the free trial a shot before purchase as that will probably answer my question.

No, it shouldn't be very slow. What version of PT4 are you running, and what sample size? Are you using this in conjunction with known hole card being shown for all players, because that can add a slow down. Overall it should run fairly fast. You're getting out of memory exceptions, which I haven't seen before.

Thanks. I sent the info to the development team. What sample size are you running also? Your error is:

System.OutOfMemoryException: Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown.

That's not something I've seen before. So it would be good to know system info and sample size you're running also. I'll let you know what they say as well.

Sure sample size is approx 800k (though this is less than what I have on PT4 as Leak Buster doesn't pick up all my hands for some reason? I have 900k on PT4)

System:
Intel 3rd Generation Core i5-3570K CPU (4 x 3.40GHz)
240GB Sandisk Extreme, 2.5" SSD,
G-Skill 8GB RAM

do you need anything else?

No, thank you. With that sample size on PT it will take awhile. It's much quicker on HM because they load all of their hands into memory, while with PT you have to go back and forth to the database. Keep in mind, Leak Buster is looking at over 480 potential leaks and doing a ton of queries to look for those leaks.

I'd say try just doing a last 200k hands for example, but it sounds like you're having a filter error. I did report all of this to the developer to look at. Thanks. I will have them address and fix anything they find.

Thank you - yes it doesn't matter how large or small a sample size I attempt it fails for me. Hope you can find a solution.

@FreakDaddy

I'm not asking you to endorse one over the other, but if you can't say I'd appreciate a response at least saying that you can't say.

I don't have HM2 or PT4 yet. I've just started researching using them for Bovada importing. Does either one work better with leak buster (or the hand history converter or card catcher for that matter)? Or are both equally buggy?

p.s. Why the price difference? I'm sure you've answered this before, its just that this is a fairly long thread. sorry.
