I would like to hear from you just what tableninja is supposed to do, because what it actually does short of clicking the action is quite surprising for me and I thought it wouldn't have been allowed. I'm on stars.

Welcome to the Forums.

Don't use it myself but it's basically software which automates/reduces the work involved in multitabling. Allows you to swiftly give focus to a particular table and take action on that table.

Key thing is, there's no 'intelligence' at work. It's not like it's saying ooh, look, we should raise given villain's range and action.

Most of it, I believe, uses user-defined hot key combos.

Are you SUPER-sure about that? My version won't fold when I press the fold hotkey if I'm on a good draw, and will suggest betting all-in whenever I have three of a kind (for example). It also bulleys limpers around.

All this just by setting the default bet size or ignoring my hotkeys - it does not play for me. Is this the normal behavior? Or do I have some kind of cheater-bot, for which, thanks, I guess, to whatever hacker installed it, but I prefer to play legit. I can list more such behavior if you like.

Also, if it does not play "intelligently" why does it need access to your real-time hand history? Mine has the hand history folder set...

If it does not play intelligently, why did it choose this bet size for me (the one I accepted)?

Poker Stars, $0.01/$0.02 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

    BTN: $1.27 (63.5 bb)
    SB: $2.03 (101.5 bb)
    Hero (BB): $1 (50 bb)
    UTG: $1.53 (76.5 bb)
    MP: $1.36 (68 bb)
    CO: $1.54 (77 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q A
2 folds, CO raises to $0.06, BTN calls $0.06, SB raises to $0.28, Hero raises to $0.92, 2 folds, SB raises to $1.56, Hero calls $0.08 and is all-in

    Flop: ($2.12) T 8 J (2 players, 1 is all-in)
    Turn: ($2.12) A (2 players, 1 is all-in)
    River: ($2.12) 3 (2 players, 1 is all-in)

    Spoiler:
    Results: $2.12 pot ($0.07 rake)
    Final Board: T 8 J A 3
SB showed 6 6 and lost (-$1 net)
    Hero showed Q A and won $2.05 ($1.05 net)

Is this normal, default behavior for it to jump to a bet size of nearly all-in? I think it does this considering the hand in question as well.

Basically, I'd like to know if I have some kind of weirded-up version or the standard version.

I simply Googled for "table ninja" to find out about it, and accepted the free trial. I am 100% sure I got there via Google, however not exactly which search terms I used etc. Google is not infallable when it comes to spam links, so I would like to know if I am demoing the real deal or not...

Just how much intelligence goes into the bet sizing???

okay, at a minimum: is it supposed to change default bet sizing based on what you hold, and the position you're in, or not? How about, the specific bets you're facing? How about, what hand (2 pair, 3 of a kind) you currently have?

I have HEM2 and obviously they have a ton of apps like leak buster, table ninja, tilt breaker etc. What I want to know, is there much point in buying them? Will I be able to optomise Holdem manager 2 just fine without them or am I missing out on a lot of value?

    What is this thread??

Table ninja is a program similiar to using AHK just that you have it all in one interface. You change the different settings yourself to get x% bet on flop, x% 3B etc. It doesn't "think". The 3B is quite big from SB due to a raise and a call, so your 4B gets bigger. Besides; you only have 50BB so your 4B should be a shove if you'd like to play AQo for stacks in this spot (not saying you should...).

fwiw Bob, I bought TN years ago out of those you mention, and couldn't think to live without it, but with the new starshotkeys I guess you could get away just using 4-5 AHKs instead of buying TN to get 95% of it's functionality. I tried asking around for tiltbuster once, but everyone agreed that it would be smarter to work on my tilt issues instead of having some program help with just the symptoms. Leakbuster I heard give you an indication how far from ABC you are playing, but doesn't really help you play optimal in anyway, but you should probably ask some actual users.

If the version sold by the HEM guys was doing anything intelligent in terms of advising you how to play then Stars would insta-ban it, which they haven't.

Not only are the functions listed on the website but you get a 15 (or 30 ?) days free trial. How about you figure it out yourself ?

The short answer is it makes multi-tabling a lot easier.

Really makes multi tabling a lot easier but as a question, I heard that PS is going to incorporate some of TN features. Anyone have any details?

I am going to purchase it as soon as my (yet another) trial runs out.
