Version 1.0.15, says there are no updates available when I check for updates. Is this the newest version?

This software is used to convert hand histories from Bovada into a compatible hand history format (Poker Stars). Then we take the compatible hand histories and either enter them in Poker Tracker or Holdem Manager. If you do not own either of those then I recommend Holdem Manager 2 since Ace Poker Solutions has a better business relationship with HM than PT.

Can you PM or email me one of the hands that's doing that. Maybe there's some anomaly happening. I'll have the developer look at it though if you can send it. Thanks.

Does it download duplicate hands into HEM?

That would be a question for HM support. A question to ask here would be if there's anything in the converted hand history that would keep HM from treating it like a duplicate of an actual Poker Stars hand.

Will the trial version of this software work with a trial version of HM?

The free trial of this software is available for 24 hours so have Bovada hands ready to convert. I'm not familiar with HM trial versions so I don't know.

Thank you for the information sir. I just got back from a vacation and would have found myself out of luck and out of hands to convert. Hopefully we'll get some answers regarding the trial version but thanks again for pointing out the need for hands because I guess Bovada is only doing seven days worth so I've got "none" in their eyes.

Yes, but like someone else said, you have to have hands from bovada from the last 7 days.

Is there something in the Bovada HH Converter that doesn't allow HM to accept duplicate hands?

HM or PT will not accept duplicate hands. The converter itself will convert whatever you put into it.

Another question: If I buy and the converter on one computer can I use the the product I bought on a different laptop in the future?

Quick update. Once we get some Zone poker hands from bovada, we'll see if we need to make any changes at all.

I just downloaded and got some hands put into HM and it works great. I saw people are having issues with duplicate hands. Next time I convert a new batch through your program won't HM read all the hands in the folder and get duplicates? What's the best way to avoid this?

Thanks.

I just downloaded some more hands from Bovada. This time when I hit "Convert Folder" is say 21 Files Found, 21 Files Processed but it says nothing under Hands Found or Processed. When I look into the folder there are no new hands and HEM says 0 files to process

When I go to the converted folder there are no new hands processed, just the old ones.

Any thoughts?

I don't think people are having issues with duplicate hands regarding your first post.

My best advice is to watch the 1min tutorial. It explains everything step by step. Once you get it down, it's super easy, and it works flawlessly. When people have issues it's always because they are importing into HM from the wrong folder commonly, or don't convert from the correct folder. It's always one or the other that's going on. I play on there and convert hands almost daily. I have over 70k imported at this point. As long as you make sure that the hands are downloaded from Bovada, the converter will put them into your designated conversion folder (not the processed folder, the original hands go there).

Then just point HM to the converted OUTPUT folder. As long as you do those two things ok, then HM will find any duplicates, but it will skip them all and just import the new files. If you want to not worry about duplicates, then make the processed hand folder a complete different directory that is not a parent of the output folder.

Works like a charm when you figure it out once.

Recently got 28 hand errors from converting 409 hands, most of them were zone poker I think. Have there been issues with converting zone poker hands? And from the 381 successful hands it converted, I received 4 hand errors in Holdem Manager, so it only successfully imported 377 hands.

I've watched the video at least 5 times and pretty sure I'm doing every thing it says. I also don't think I've done anything differently from 2 days ago when it worked.

Here's showing that there are hand histories that need to be converted.

Here's me choosing that folder to convert:

Here's it showing that it found the files but no hands are converted:

Maybe its something simple I'm failing to recognize and I'm going to look stupid but have been trying awhile and can't figure it out.

Zone poker was just added Monday/Tuesday. We just got hands (since you need to wait 24 hours) yesterday. The developers just finished the tournament version today, and zone poker will be added by Monday is what I'm told (but don't hold me to it). Depends how testing goes as well.

I'd be surprised if there was a non-zone poker error. Haven't seen one in over a couple of months now, but if you find something, just PM me the hand.

I saw your e-mail in support. You are trying to convert Omaha hands, but you purchase the Holdem version.

I did some accounting for the 28 errors, I checked like 4 of them and they were all hands where I folded and left the table before the hand completely finished. The math adds up and I'm not missing any money, just missing the hands where I folded and left without putting any money in the pot. So I guess it's not a huge deal.
