You have version 13 and are importing into HM? What kinds of hands are you importing?

Can you try and go to select poker system, choose HM and import again? It's working ok for all hands we've tested. Something else must be going on.

I just imported several more sessions, and it's working fine. You realize if it's set as PT the hole cards will be missing correct?

Also it will pull another .13 update just to make sure it's all updated as it should. But we've had several people test it and it's working fine with the hole cards working for HM, and removed for PT.

I use holdem manager 1, I dunno if that makes a difference. I just selected HM in the select poker system and converted 50 new hands and they still aren't showing everyone's hole cards. (Just my hole cards show, and the other villain's if they get to showdown, their hands will show)

Can you PM me a couple of these hands? The original ones from Bovada. We didn't do a ton of testing with HM1. I think only one person did. We were mostly looking at HM2 and PT4.

Shouldn't matter, as when you manually open the converted HH for HEM, the hole cards are not in the text files.

Try uninstalling the program and download again from the site. I took the hands that rakeme gave me and they are converting fine. Something got messed up during the update. Go directly to the site and download the trial and re-install. There must be some setting messed up somewhere, because it's working fine.

EDIT: Yes, it seems for anyone who updated to the version that had the bug, and it didn't prompt them the first time on what database they had, it isn't setting the correct database. So for those who did the .12 update, you'd need to uninstall and re-install from the site and it should be fine. Apologies, but once the correct version is in and the DB set, you should have no issues.

Yup, re-installed and it's working fine now.

All of a sudden my Hand Converter started wanting me to register it again. I looked up my registration number in the email I received when I bought the program. I entered that number and my other information but it fails. Error message says it can't connect to the remote server.

What's going on with this??

Uninstalled and reinstalled-still not working for me. I had the buggy .12 version. I reinstalled and the new version is .13 but still no hole cards.

Edit: Tried in both HM2 and PT4-same problem which I guess is obvious since this is just the HH.

Choose the select poker system button (top of app) as HM. Download again directly from the site and re-install. It should fix the issue. Anyone with .12 is going to have to do this, and it will work again as expected.

This is now working for me with any new hand histories I download. I tried reprocessing the old hand histories using the exact same method, but that doesn't work-those are still showing up without hole cards. Is there a simple fix for this?

You're welcome. You have to make sure you're converting the original bovada hands. The default directory for them, once they are moved is: .. \ .. \ BovadaHandHistory\Processed

I would just process by doing the individual files (use convert file instead of convert folder button), and select which ones from that folder, and re-convert. This would be the easiest way.

I've tried this a couple of times and it is converting the hands with no problem, but the problem is that when I go into PT4 to import, it calls the hands "duplicates" instead of new hands. Then I go check the database for the hands and the hole cards are still not there. I guess I have to go figure out how to Purge the old hands from the database and then reimport. But when I try to find the hands that PT4 is pulling I really have no idea where they are. I go to file, open user data folder, and processed, and the hands are there from a year ago, but none of the Bovada hands.

Yeah, you'll have the purge those hands from PT4. I think you can right click and delete them in groups.

I'm not sure why you want to find the hands that PT4 is "pulling". They are put in your processed folder, and into your database. The bovada converted hands - the original ones are in the folder you have setup for processed (whatever you have your path set to (second path line in the program).

I've decided for now to revert to the original release version of the hand converter and am refusing any future PT4 updates. I suppose this will be all good until Bovada changes their HH format and I am forced to update the converter.

You can always select HM as your poker system in the converter, and still get updates on it. It's just when PT4 starts blocking hole cards, then you'd have to hold off on some of their updates. Maybe at some point they may change their mind if enough people put in requests.

The problem is we likely won't know which update PT begins blocking hole cards, and once I update I assume I won't be able to revert to the previous release. But ok, if the only difference between HM and PT in the converter is hole cards, I'll try that.

How quickly will this software update with the player I played against cards? This could be great for hunl and husng.

Also, does this software track my profitability with different holdings and in different positions?

They should put this in their release notes. I've asked them to do so.

You cannot obtain bovada hands until 24 hours after they are played. So you can not use this as a HUD. It's purely for tracking purposes, and review purposes, and it's not a database. It's a converter.
