They have automatic updates. If you launch software, then you get prompted, if new version is available.

Okay, maybe it's just a problem on my end, but I haven't been notified for versions e, g or h.

I was getting the auto update notifications and was about to post that you must have something on your end stopping it. However, I got curious and checked out my version. I am on "d." So if there are e, g, h versions, then I suspect an issue with the update server and how it identifies versions as outdated. Clicking "check for new version" tells me there is no update available. Again, I was getting updates before so I know my firewall is ok and allowing these through.

If you read FreakDaddy's previous posts, you'll see that he mentions that these versions weren't included in the automatic updates, even though they seem to fix some pretty important bugs. I have no idea why they wouldn't include these versions in the automatic updates.

We soft release to the website, before we make a version part of the automatic updates. I announce the releases on here, so if there is any issue, we can change/fix before releasing it to everyone. There's so many little things with the converter because of countless variations of how hands are written, that we want to make sure everything is covered before sending it to existing customers.

I am glad I found this discussion because updating from d to g eliminated the many errors I was getting using the "Randomize Player ID" setting.

Maybe using something like HEM's "beta/stable" updates could keep customers up-to-date with the improvements while still protecting the majority.

Anyway, the Bovada Converter continues as a most useful utility.

just imported like 1800 hands and hem1 said 67 import errors. i can't tell if these are actual hands i'm playing that aren't getting imported or if there ones where i'm sitting out or something, but in the hem log folder for import errors there are definitely hands that i'm dealt in. should i send you the log or something? post in the hem forums?

I think I'm doing something fundamentally wrong. When I click on account ---> Hand History ---> Game transactions I'm missing the button from the video to download the histories. The only link I have in the upper right hand corner is "Print This Page"

Thanks for the suggestions, appreciate it. We essentially basically do that, but we don't in application the beta. We figure the people who really want to use the latest, and will provide helpful feedback will check in on one of the major forums. But it's something to consider in the future.

You likely are using randomize player ID and using an older version. Download the latest from the site, and reconvert the hands you just did. There was a bug in that feature sometime back.

Did you just start playing there? You need at least 24 hours I believe before you're going to have any hands there, so maybe the tab isn't there yet?

so 1.0.19d isn't the latest? clicking update within app says i'm up to date. will i need to do anything to reregistr if i dl off the site?

i did turn on randomize player recently so that makes sense but i did notice a lot of files in the hem log/import errors folder so i think i have been getting import errors for a while (though never specifically noticed missing hands)

how do i go about reimporting, can i just import the error/log files from the hem folder or do i have to get the original files and reconvert after i dl the new update?

The post right above your first question in here answered all of this.

The soft release fixes are directly on the site. You need to go here:
http://acepokersolutions.com/Bovadahandconverter.html

Then download and install the trial. This will get you the latest. When we officially release, it will come up in the program as an update.

To re-convert, just go to whatever folder you are using as your archive (second folder listed in the program), and re-convert those. Then re-import. Any ones with errors, that are fixed, will now import back into your DB. You should be good to go from there.

was confused because on the site there's a picture of the app with the .19d software so assumed it was the newest.

should i uninstall old versions before installing?

so the processed folder right...no reason to reconvert the archived folder or keep any of the import error log files?

thx

btw damn this is gonna take a while to convert, processed folder found 9907 files although i do see it's skipping some hands.

No, you just need to install on top and it will do the rest.

I don't know what your folder is set to, but it's the one that says... Move original bovada hands to... that's the folder you'll want to re-convert. If you recently turned on randomize player ID, then it's going to re-convert them all. If you don't want to do that, just convert by file, and select the files that you want to do, by holding down control and right clicking each individual filename.

^^^ if he reconverts that folder without changing the "move orig files too..." path, is the client smart enough to not get stuck in a loop or delete the files? I assume it is since that is not hard to handle, but it is worth asking just in case.

Yeah, it's not going to get stuck in any kind of loop. It's just going to re-convert from that folder.

No, what I mean is if the folder being converted and the folder to move the original hands are the same, will the client get confused when it tries to move them? If the move happens after all files in the folder are converted, then it is a non-issue. If it moves them as they are processed, then there could be some confusion.

I don't mean any offense, I just went through a similar issue on a file indexer built by another team at work so it is fresh on my mind.

I understood what you meant, and it should be fine. I didn't think you meant any offense.

I recently purchased BHHC and it was working great converting for PT4. I have started using Holdem Indicator on Bovada those hand histories are not automatically available to BHHC for conversion to PT4. I am not sure how to convert the hand histories that occur when HI is in use to PT4. Can you help?

HI has zero impact on the hand histories or the converter, so I really don't know what you mean. Maybe this is spam?

Instead of showing hands found and processed it now shows files found and processed and PT4 the way have it configured is not processing the history information this way.

in PT4 it show that the files have downloaded but it does not show that hands have downloaded and it does not calculate any stats based on the new files.

I'm trying to understand, but I have no idea why HI would be relevant. It has no barring on the process of downloading hands from bovada, converting, and importing them into PT4.
