Sometimes ICMIZER tells me to shove ex: 60% hands. Another time it told me again to shove 60%. However the distribution of shoving cards was different, even though both were 60%. Like one time it told me to shove Q2o and fold 85s and the other time told me to fold Q2o and shove 85s. Why?

Does this make sense lol? Or I'll try to take a screenshot next time

Hi, sure it makes sense. Hands power order is different in different situations.
Sometimes 32o is worse than 72o, sometimes it is better. Same goes for most preflop hands except AA which usually is at the top of all rankings.
So the 60% is not a defined range, it is a defined probability of holding appropriate range.

In 18 man tournaments, you should be using ICM mode with MTT mode enabled from the beginning of the tournament.

Hi there,
if I use chip EV calculations for early stage of tournaments, what payouts structure should i put there?

Hi yolae
It doesn't matter what payout structure you choose in Chip EV mode, calculations will be performed in chips and will ignore the selected payout structure or tournament.
That's the whole idea of Chip EV mode, it is working similar to cash game calculations.

Hello,

i currently play on Boss network (a skin of it) is there a way to import hands ?
I have tried copying hand from hm3 but does not seem to work

I faced the annoying issue in Chrome with ICMIzer 2 Beta. I would like to be able to modify FGS calculated ranges by using "min EV diff" numeric up down, but it simply does not allow to type values manually and only permits Up/Down buttons. Thus, I can't set up precise values like 0.087.

Hi

Having subscription doesn't really affect whether or not hand history text gets loaded to ICMIZER. I believe that we currently do not support the Boss network hand histories. It isn't a highly requested, but I would appreciate if you forward a pack of Boss hands to our support email support@icmpoker.com so we could review them and evaluate the possibility of adding their support.

Hi.
Yes, currently it works as you describe.
This may get changed in ICMIZER 3 though, but it isn't a high priority feature so I cannot promise anything here. Generally, 0 is a very smart default threshold value unless we are talking about very first hands of the tournament.

No, it's not. The good rule of thumb is 10% of AA value.

How did you arrive to conclusion that my recommendation is bad and your rule is good?
What makes you pass 9% profitability of AA value, why do you leave it outside of your ROI?
Look at this spot
https://icmpoker.com/screenshot/UPFkwh/

So you recommend passing everything less than +0.29%? That's just awful rule of thumb, not good.

Please fix this annoying bug because it really does not make sense to prohibit opportunity to set up the arbitrary threshold. Your competitor, HRC allows to do that and you should do that too.

Hi I just want to check that I have everything set up here, because the results seem intuitively off to me. In this hand, initially I was the HJ and reshoved JTs. I then edited UTGs range, and changed it so that I was in the BB with the same stack.

This is the range I got for reshoving, can it be right, or have I done something wrong?

While I'm at it, can you explain where the ICMizer open ranges come from?

When I pasted in this hand without editing it, UTG was opening 22%. Where does this number come from?

OK this one I've definitely done something wrong, since it says we should shove 100% of our opening range.

Hi sirin

Everything is correct here.
You need to look at the call chance of your opponent to see why so many hands are good shoves. He just doesn't call often enough so that is like stealing blinds from tight player.

Use the XX detailed result button below the push/fold chart to review how the math works here.

The only way ICMIZER can make "ranges come from" anywhere is if you use the Calculate Nash button. This will assign all ranges to the Nash equilibrium approximation.

Other sources of ranges have no defined behavior, use the Calculate Nash button.

This behavior will be reworked in ICMIZER 3 so it will be clear when ranges are Nash ranges and when they are simply some arbitrary placeholder ranges.

Thanks for the reply. But I don't understand how the Calculate Nash button works for PFR - surely ICMizer is not coming up with preflop solutions to a 9 handed game? So how does it know what ranges to open?

For example, when I press "Calculate Nash" on the above hand, it changes my opening range to 26%, which is way too loose from UTG+1.

And it makes MP1 3bet my UTG open to 10%, which is again way too loose.

But if I change these ranges manually, it's no longer a Nash calculation?

I'm confused!

Hi

This kind of situation is best handled by manual editing of ranges.
Just make sure your ranges make sense. For example, after the player on MP1 reraises, he becomes super unlikely to fold due to his position and pot odds.
So generally both of his ranges should be the same. I just dont see him bluffing there much against you, he may fold if there are couple all-ins behind him though, but not against UTG.

To question about how Nash equilibrium Beta works.
When you click Calculate Nash ranges button in such situation ICMIZER finds an optimal solution to a poker subgame where the first player to VPIP raises 1100, the second player always reraises 3300 and only then all other players push or fold once the 3300 bet has been done.
It is a rather limited game and it also happens to be pretty hard to find Nash solution in, so the result in ICMIZER currently is in Beta stage.
It will be non-beta in ICMIZER 3, once we add weighted ranges, which allow finding much better approximations in hard cases like this.

The best way to work in such situations is to first calculate Nash ranges, then to edit them according to your reads about ranges of your strategy and strategy of other players.

Hope it helps.

I am brand new to Icmizer. I just got the ICM suite with the Nitro. Silly question, I just don't understand how to load hands. I am trying to use the hand replayer and sit and go coach. Can someone just explain to me how to load my hands? thanks in advance for the help.

Hi.
Did you watch the tutorial video on the autoanalysis feature: https://www.icmpoker.com/en/video/vi...nalysis-nitro/ ?
Basically, you press the Load hands button and either paste hand histories or locate a file with them.

Also please check out the tutorial video: https://www.icmpoker.com/en/video/ic...asic-tutorial/

Let me know if these help.
