I agree with previous comment that it would be amazing to set some non-leaderboard quiz against looser or tighter players so we don't have to icmize every spots to study vs them.

Also, do you plan on making a visible leaderboards with more specific stats? The names of the top10, and maybe some data like what's best win streak, how many quiz have been played? etc. Once we get 1st place there's nothing to fight for.

Finally, I would like an option to hide the 4 awnser choices until a button is pressed or after 5 seconds or something. They are a huge hint, and I would like to guess the range before they hint me to it. Sounds like a weird option but would make you feel more ready for the in-game action.

1) the detailed results in sng coach are either in ev%(I guess ev = total chipcout of the current table?) or directly in chips. Is there a way or will be to show results in BBev or to choose in which to show(chips, BBev, ICMev)? I'd like to see results in BBev so that I dont have to mentally count it of how much of an error or good decision it was, since the blind levels differ.

2) ability to choose hero position in sng coach is only possible from low jack and further, not possible for utg,utg1,utg2 correct? Will it be extended?

3) do you plan to implement a way to set the skill of your opponents in the sng coach(aka set 1/3 of players push/call 60% of Nash, 1/3 40% and 1/3 100% and then run the quiz/sng coach)?

Sorry if this was asked before, I didnt find it. Thanks for the answers and again, good job!
Hi. Thank you for your kind words!

1) No, there is no way currently. BBs only make sense in Chip EV quizzes. Its pretty easy to learn which %EV is certain # of chips if you really need this to be in chips for some reason.

2) You can choose any position. Just use the horizontal scroller to choose position

3) This may be added in the future

I believe this can be a machine specific issue, can you send me an email at support@icmpoker.com and describe the problem in more detail?

Hi
We plan to add leaderboards quite soon. As for difficulty, that may be added, but thats rather complex feature so stay tuned for the updates.
As for 1st place, well being 1st is nice, most aren't first, so for most this problem doesn't exist. What do you think can make it fun for 1st players?

As for making it more difficult for higher skilled players, we are thinking about improving that. Indeed, that's a huge hint, especially for good players.

Can't wait for leaderboards! I meant a few more statistics, I guess rating is all we need, but would be nice to see how many questions we answered.
You know like experience in a RPG game, this could also indicate how fast someone got the top score, or if he grinded his way up doing more questions. It's amazing that the difficulty adapts to our level, but we don't get much feedback on how well we're actually "playing", like the sessions review/results in Equilab's training tool, for example, or our overall anwser's accuracy in %.

I know this is hard to achieve and not that important, but maybe some sort of "hot or not" meter displaying how good we doing. The progress in the game gives a somewhat abstract feedback of how well we're doing other than the kind of hard to track rating's steep curve.

Basically, some other long term(grind) and short term(skills) rewards/feedbacks to keep the students motivated.

Keep up the good work, this tool is gold!

Does "MTT 1500-man" mean there's 1500 people in the tournament?

I'm doing the placement questions in the SNG coach for an "MTT 1500-man" but how do I know how many people are left in the tournament? Wouldn't that matter? Or how is that number supposed to affect my decisions exactly?

Thanks

I dont exactly understand though(is it right that in this case EV = sum of all chips from the table?).

Anyway it would be of huge help to me(and others I suppose) if showing results in BBev was implemented. Most of the time in tourmaments we play push/fold in chip ev terms and its way more comfortable seeing something is 0,25 BB win or lose instead of seeing its 100 chips and having to find out that BB was 400 and divide it... Also it shouldnt be that dificult to implement hopefully.

I appreciate the answers, thanks.

Why does ICMIZER 2 say "Sunday million turbo" and "Sunday storm turbo" when those tournaments aren't turbos?

Another question: How come when using "MTT" mode it only allows up to 60 players?

Regarding the sunday million "turbo" question I posted above, the ICMIZER support responded with:

"Its a minor slip in our reference data. It doesn't affect anything related to the calculation."

But wouldn't the fact that it's a turbo tournament affect the calculation? What exactly are all the major factors that go into determining the right answer? (Stack sizes, players left, actual holding)

I thought the speed of the tourney would matter but apparently not. Although if a tourney is a hyper wouldn't that affect your ranges?

Hi Pokerpothead

In its calculations ICMIZER doesn't use any logic to consider potential growth of the blinds in the next hand(s), so they are taken as provided from the user input.

And if the blinds do not change, then it's irrelevant what the speed is. Even if there was a way to say that blinds grow next hand, the speed still won't matter, because what would matter for the calculation is whether or not blinds grow next hand, not the speed.

Hey guys just a basic question on how to use ICMIzer.

3 handed. I 3x the button and sb 3bets me to 10x and bb folds. Now im looking at what hands i can 4bet shove. ICMizer will say Ajo is winning 4bb by shoving. Does that mean shoving Ajo here is winning 4bb overall or does that mean its 4bb better than folding?

So is it folding i lose 3bb and shoving i win 1bb? Or is it folding i lose 3bb and shoving i win 4bb?

I think the speed is relevant isn't it? You should widen your range when you don't have as much time I thought? But if you're saying ICMIZER doesn't look at that then it's fine. Maybe it's not a huge deal.

Hi. Currently there is no way to do that. Maybe in the future, but I can't promise that.

I dont understand the difference between the coach tab and the icmizer tab when it displays the percentage numbers.
In the coach tab it says for example that its a correct push @ +0.44%
but
In the icmizer tab for the same hand it says +t6.55??
Can anyone help in explaining the differences here?
thanks

hello,
I've been using Sng coach lately but have come to question some of the ranges it is suggesting. for example I have run the same 3 handed spot on HRC and I have been given the range of 30% compared to the 24~% that ICMizer suggests. I was hoping you could shed some light as to why these to results are drastically different. TBH its hard to trust the software if I am not sure it is giving correct ranges because I am probably doing more damage to my game. I am also fairly certain that I have input all the identical information on HRC as is on ICMizer. Thanks.

Hi. There is some difference between ICMIZER 2 and HRC calculations. For example, ICMIZER 2 calculates EV fold for each hand separately, while HRC uses single EV fold value for all hands and ignores card removal effect.
Although this difference shouldn't be critical. In any range some hands are very close to 0%, so how we play these is pretty irrelevant on our strategy quality. However if you fold them all the range may become 24%, if you push them all range may become 30%. However whats important is not to fold any of 24% hands, and not to push any hands that are worse than top30%.

I have this article:
http://www.icmpoker.com/en/blog/anal...sh-fold-spots/

It should help you understand the problem better. The important thing to understand is that couple of offsuit hands which are +0.01% or -0.01% (this difference easy may come from different way to calculate EV fold in HRC) may visually change the hero range a lot (turn 24 into 30%) but with that the actual EV of 24% push strategy or 30% push strategy is pretty much the same.

Hi.
Just switch ICMIZER to %EV mode.
Or multiply the SNG coach % value on total number of chips to convert it into chips value.

Hi,

I just bought icmizer today. When I set up a situation, I'm having trouble understanding the difference between the "calculate nash equilibrium" and "calculate" buttons.

I understand that the nash equilibrium is where each player is playing optimally and no one has reason to deviate from that strategy.

I also see that with the "calculate" button we are able specifically set our opponents ranges and then it calculates our range based on those custom ranges.

Assuming this is all correct, why is it, that when I first click "calculate nash equilibrium" and then leave the opponents ranges the same and click "calculate", heros range changes by a few % in many situations. Shouldn't heros range stay the same since the opponents range is the same? Thanks

Hi.
ICMIZER 2 license is for a single user. You can use it from both PC and laptop, but sharing account with other people is not allowed.

Hi
ICMIZER 2 finds the Nash equilibrium approximation. And the calculate button finds the precise hero range. I have this article which explains this effect in all details:
