Hello!
Is it possible in any way to do calculations with icmizer, when Hero 3bets, and faces a 4bet shove? When i try to make a non all in 3bet as hero, it says invalid spot, because hero bet is bigger or equal to other players bet.
Thanks!

Hi, yes, it is possible. Just enter the 4 bet after you've entered hero 3bet size and spot will become valid for review.

Hi! I want to analyze early MTT push fold situations with more than 60 players. And I read that I have to use the chip EV mode for that. But I noticed that when I choose the CHIP EV mode on the top left it still makes me choose a tournament type. And when I choose different tournament types then I get different kind of results.

So what kind of tournament type should I use when calculating push fold situations in MTT's with more than 60 players.

Thank you in advance,
Letrap

Hi Letrap. The results should be the same if the blinds and bets are the same.
If there is some difference with the same stacks & bets & ranges please send a detailed report here or using the email.

Hello, just tried the software to review a hand I played a few days ago.

Im not an ICM expert so I dont know if the results the program shows make sense.

It was a 82$ Sunday 500 Satellite that awarded 8 entries (530$) and 9th place gets 185$. There are 9 players left.

I created a custom tourney for the prizepool.

As you can see it shows UTG pushing with any two cards and rest of players calling only AA (SB calls KK+).

Did i make any mistake when using the program os does this result make sense?

Regards.

Hi Q,

I'm sure you have been asked this question hundreds of times so please excuse me.

In your opinion, at what point should you start to use ICMEV versus CHIPEV?

I play in games with around 70 runners and top 8 get paid 40% first etc. So when there are 25 players left there is quite difference between ICMEV and CHIPEV

Thanks

Hi. This is an expected perfect solution for such hard bubble. However real players will be calling you wider very likely and will have trouble folding strong hands like QQ, if you edit ranges appropriately, the push range will become way tighter.

In this scenario the player who opens first creates huge pressure on others and is in advantageous position (when we speak of theoretical optimum, not the actual play of real world players who can call with some inferior hand and bust themselfs from this bubble).

Hi. My standard answer is that you use Chip EV as a fallback option from ICM when the ICM is simply not available. In other cases ICM will get more reasonable and smart ranges.

I noticed you host the screenshots on your site now. How long do they stay up for before they're deleted?

Hi. Yes they're hosted on our site and generally its super easy to share screens now.
We do not plan to delete them currently, but it may change in future if there are any problems with the current approach.

hey q

im playin MTT and was lookin over different spots on different models and softwares and there were quite some difference in the ranges...so my question is which model ist best to use for basic MTT hand analysis...like from the very first hand til the FT

should i use standard fgs ranges or fgs nash equilibrium ranges

also for spots where icm istn available...would ICM ranges deviate from the cEV ranges in the same way it does in spots where it is available ??

thx

In which situations exactly are the SB ranges inaccurate? Anyone can give an example please. Thanks!

Hi Q,

When I try editing a player's range by selecting individual starting hands with the mouse, the hand I choose does not get selected, but seemingly random hands get selected instead. So, for example, I try to select 74s by clicking on it, but instead 96s get highlighted.

Thanks for your help.

Hi, when I am using SnG coach I click on ChipEV MTT 9max normal, then 9 max short stack call spots and it just ends up running a load of 5-10 spots. the same thing happens if I click on any stack, it just doesn't seem to want to run short spots. Thanks in advance.

Hi. For the very first hand you have no choice but to use Chip EV. You could emulate some ICM pressure by using payout like 90/10 but its difficult to say how close that will be to the actual MTT ICM situation.

Once you can use ICM it makes sense to use it (60 players or less) since it takes into account the actual payouts.

Yes, it will deviate the same way, but not in the same amounts, so in early phase probably ICM and Chip EV ranges won't be as different as they become closer to bubble or at final table for example.

Hi. This should have been fixed in our latest patch but I've got but apparently something is still wrong. Can you send some details and FULL screenshots (entire screen, not just ICMIZER) to support@icmpoker.com so we can investigate it and resolve asap?
It may be connected to zoom in Windows.

Hi. I am not sure what is happening from this description. Can you send some screenshots and what you expect to happen in more detail, so its more clear what is wrong and whether there is something wrong?

Currently FGS in ICMIZER 2 does a 1 hand lookahead.

Hi.
Not that I am aware of. Could you be more specific what exactly has been slow?

Hi,

first of all great job with icemizer and sng coach!

I'd like to ask several questions:

1) the detailed results in sng coach are either in ev%(I guess ev = total chipcout of the current table?) or directly in chips. Is there a way or will be to show results in BBev or to choose in which to show(chips, BBev, ICMev)? I'd like to see results in BBev so that I dont have to mentally count it of how much of an error or good decision it was, since the blind levels differ.

2) ability to choose hero position in sng coach is only possible from low jack and further, not possible for utg,utg1,utg2 correct? Will it be extended?

3) do you plan to implement a way to set the skill of your opponents in the sng coach(aka set 1/3 of players push/call 60% of Nash, 1/3 40% and 1/3 100% and then run the quiz/sng coach)?

Sorry if this was asked before, I didnt find it. Thanks for the answers and again, good job!
