Hey Jay.

In general I believe you can do this kind of scaling with MTT.

However 180 man with 27 payout structure is quite special and in real MTT usually its closer to top 10% paid than to top 15% (like 27/180), so maybe you should be using a scaled payout structure that better represents your actual MTT.

Also, it's not that I am saying that its greater than 1. It's a given fact: its only 1 when first place finisher gets all the money. You can read some more about bubble factors in MTT in "kill everyone" book.

Hi,
I`ve compared push fold situation in ICMizer vs poker tracker suggestion. ICMizer is much more close to reality than the 2nd one. Poker tracker is very nittish in push ranges and very loose in calling ranges. Keep up the good work.

Hey Luke.

ICMIZER is web based tool so all you need is simply log in to ICMIZER from mac.
Note that subscription license is provided per user, not per computer.

So you can use it from different PCs/Macs, but account sharing is not allowed.

Hello,

Just purchased ICMIZER for a year, love it.

I have a request for when loading multiple hand histories and that they can be ordered by timestamp. This way, when I review a big bunch of hands with a replayer I can easily skip to the hand number on ICMIZER to review an ICM/chip ev spot quickly.

Currently I can only order hands by a few things, one of them is blind level which is slightly helpful, but the hands are still in random orders within the blind levels.

HateMonday, there is no date in this format for some reason.
Where does this hand come from? Probably not from PS client, cause PS hands always have date in my experience.

lucky_scrote, hey. When you load multiple hands they get loaded in order of hands in file I believe. That is the same order as hands go in tournament. So thats your desired order I believe.

Introducing direct ability for ordering by date is not planned currently.

Hmm well , does HM2 copy all hands without date?

If yes, I'll have to add support for this partial format. If it usually does copy date (and I believe it does cause this is first time someone reports issue with PS format), but in rare case doesn't, thats a different story.

But you can also write to HM support and request that they do not hide date from actual hand, cause thats clearly wrong way to do about copying hands.

Hi Q. I bought ICMizer today but i don t know how to set the payout structure for FullTilt rush on demands...it tends to change because they are dynamic.

Case: HU Effectiv stack 400 chips, blinds 10/20 (20bb)

Hero (sb) MR 40 - Villain (bb) 3BS 400

Hero need 45% equity to call (360/800=0,45%)

When I use ICMIZER to see what I can call an 18.6% 3bs range 20bb deep, I see I can call with A4s and get a better results (-39 chips), istead of fold (-40 chips).

But when I check with a EQ calculator the same A4s against the same 18.6% 3bs range, I only get a equity of 40,1% and it seems like a -EV call.

(3bs range: TT-22,A2+.

What have I missed?

This is HU where the winner takes all so I not need to use any ICM model?

Have use "Chip EV" in this example.

I am not providing service of finding math mistakes in others calculations, sorry.

Just rest assured that ICMIZER calculates everything precisely.
If you really wish to figure it out you may ask it in general HU forum.

Or keep looking into your calculation to find a mistake if thats important.
You can use show detailed result for specific hand button to see calculation details, that usually helps a lot.

Its not a question of math. Its how to use the program I pay for. A question regarding the use of ICMIZER and this is as far as I can see the only support you have.

Its a clear math question.

Manually doing 3 way calculation can take 2 + hours. If you provide me with some type of manual three way calculation with mistake and ask me how ICMIZER gets different result I will not spend 2 hours more looking into bunch of summations and multiplications trying to find a mistake.

Of-course its difficult to repeat what ICMIZER does, thats why you use it in the first place instead of manual hand by hand calculations.

Quote:
Its how to use the program
You are using it correctly. What is the question about use here?

Like I say hit the detailed result button for A4s and you will see how to get the correct result.

You are simply not using the correct method, not taking everything into account, so you get different result.
"What you missed?" is not ICMIZER support related question.

Again, ICMIZER is the only program which is 100% transparent about how it produces the result.
This transparency is provided via detailed result button.

In other programs you simply see the EV number - you have no idea how it appeared. Were there any mistakes? Who knows. What was taken into account? Information is not available.

Maybe you are not aware of this feature?
It looks like this:

I just used the math to show an example where I got the wrong result. With showing this I hoped to get a simple answer to what I should do differently. For example, to switch from "Chip EV" to "ICM% EV".
I thought I used the program successfully, but when I checked with an EQ calculator, it went wrong.
So it was never ment as a math question, but what I had made mistakes in ICMIZER.
I'll see if I can find someone else who can help me.

Anyway thanks Q.

Well I am ready to help.

Just be more specific in your question.

Chip EV or ICM EV% - if you are analyzing a HU spot, those produce same results, same ranges. So generally HU players prefer Chip EV, for simplicty (or maybe Chip BB EV to ignore actual Blinds size).

Provide me with a screenshot of ICMIZER calculation or a link (Share result button) and your question and I'd be glad to help you to use it correctly, or confirm that you are inputing the problem correctly, which would mean that you get related result.

Ok, my bad.

Left shows pokerstove that I get a EQ of 40.1% but i need 45% to call.
To the right ICMIZER shows that A4s is a call. (-39> - 40) If I read it right...
I loss 39 chips to call, but its better then loss of 40 chips when i fold.

Again, its not a question of math, but what I have done wrong in ICMIZER
Can you see anything I have done incorrect?
(Have used the correct range, 22+, A2+ in both programs)

Okay. now I get your question and yes you are making a mistake.

Quote:
To the right ICMIZER shows that A4s is a call. (-39> - 40)
This is wrong interpretation of result.

look below grid, next to A4s EVs,

EVPush shows 521.1 chips (EV result of pushing)
EvFold shows 560 chips (just losing 40 chips you raised)

So -39 is clear fold. If it were +1 (and it would've been green, not red) it would've been a push.

Generally you are looking for hands which have EvPush - EvFold >0
In case of A4s EvPush-EvFold is < 0 (-39 chips)

Hope it makes sense.
