Try to copy the hand history from PT4 and paste it in the Basic Hand setup, ofr even set it up manually from scratch. If you still get that same issue then your installation might be corrupted, try to re-install the program in that case. Let me know if you still get the same issue after that.
OK so I reinstalled it and now its letting me run bounty hands but not regular hands.

As an aside when setting up bounties on the first page where we stacks, blinds and payouts are displayed what amount should we put in the bounty?
Is it in the PS format where we put the amount you can win of the starting bounty or in the Party Poker format where the full bounty is displayed but we can only win half?

Similarly the next page when it asks us to specify the bounty and we enter them manually do we put in the full bounty ala party poker or what we can win?

Always enter the full bounty, I believe that's the same on PokerStars though, at least in the HHs?

If you still get issues, please try the beta and email me if that still doesn't work, we can do a troubleshooting session in that case.

There is something else going on with your system if you get that message from extracting the beta zip archive. That's a standard zip and extraction is carried out by Windows, in other words this really can't be directly related to any HRC bugs.

Hardware problems can sometimes mess with extraction, this might be related to unstable RAM or CPU. Try to run a general hardware check, e.g. Prime95's "torture test", to verify that the system is generally running stable.

Anyway, shoot me a short email to support@holdemresources.net and I'll try to help there, but I'll need more info about your system specifics.

It looks like when he's extracting the files the written path is too long and exceeds character limit. 7zip or rename path to where it's being extracted should fix it.

BB Ante Please and thanks

Re 7zip etc: I don't think that's the underlying problem here, given that he was able to extract the same file a few days earlier and his installations keep breaking after a few days.

BB ante coming after the Monte Carlo mode, finishing that up right now. Have the rules been settled btw? There used to be variants where the ante is posted before vs after the BB.

I just tested with the beta version is working, but without the impossible bet version has activated the license I do not know why it's doing this

Can't see any email from you, when did you send it? In any case, the error indicates that HRC can't connect to the license server, please make sure your firewall isn't blocking it.

[Edit: Found your email, it was tagged as fishing/spam for some reason. Sorry about that.]

Hello, I am unable to paste hands from the clipboard. It happens only on 888Poker hands. No valid hand-history found message appeared. Any idea what the problem is?

The 888 format was changed recently, we'll have a fix ready sometime next week.

The 888 hand history update is live for the stable version. The beta version will receive a large update in 1-2 days, including the 888 HH update.

Hi plexiq

Question about set up for pko´s.

1750 entrants, 20k starting stack.

567 players left.

I go to the software, past hand from clip board, multi table icm, next. Then i have to divide 567/9 to know how many tables are left. Divide the total number of chips by the number of tables left. How do i input that info in hrc? Do i have to generate 70 tables one by one?

Second question is about the prize pool. Lets say its 25k regular prize pool and 25k bounty prize pool. In the prizes i just have to enter the regular prize pool, 1st - 25k. Right?

I have to be a little critic about the layout because as far as i know the only guy who really know how to do this is the bounty beast teacher for that bencb course. This needs to be more usr friendly imo. Iam trying here for an hour to " say to the program" that i want 70 tables, 9 players per table and average of 550.000 chips per table and i cant figure it out.

cheers

If you are only starting out with MTT calculations, I'd strongly recommend giving the current beta version a try. MTT calculations are more accurate and considerably easier to setup there.

https://www.holdemresources.net/blog...c-public-beta/

Steps in the beta:
1) Paste stacks from HH
2) Select MTT ICM model
3) Enter the payout structure: You only need to enter the jump points, repeated prizes can be skipped. Remember to save the structure if its long. (I'd recommend to enter the actual structure, but you can alternatively enter the full 25k as first prize, but that will essentially skip the ICM part of the calculation.)
4) Bounty: For regular bounties select bounty mode KO and enter the bounty per player. For progressive select PKO and enter the bounties next to the players' stacks if they were not automatically pasted from the HH.
5) Click next, use the top button to generate remaining stacks from other tables. Ideally you need to know total chip count and the number of remaining players. Click ok and make sure the numbers in the stack summary match your expectation.

That's it, click finish.

[Just for clarification: It's also possible to generate all 70 tables at once in the old version using the top button next to the tables, you don't need to enter them one by one. The old interface is indeed not very user friendly though.]

Hi plexiq,

I'm trying to compare my previous chip-EV push-fold solutions (which were good and unexploitable, at least for 3 active players per hand) with brand-new Monte-Carlo solutions.

I've read the changelog but I'm still confused. Is Monte-Carlo mode more precise if we are speaking for example about 9max UTG push-fold range? (with no card-bunching but a lot of players behind)

What about 9max BU push-fold range? Now passive card removal makes our optimal range much neater. Should I reconsider all of my old ranges and stick to Monte-Carlo mode?

The fact we are not able to see the exploitability makes me doubt.

An exploitability display probably won't happen for Monte Carlo mode, I'm not aware of any practical ways to calculate/approximate this when using Monte Carlo sampling.

Try running large samples and check if anything changes. Generally speaking, we did tons of internal testing for the MC mode and it looks solid. But before changing your game, I'd still recommend to wait a few weeks and see if any bugs or issues pop up during public beta testing.
