I am having some major glitches with HEM.

*The filter for last # hands is simply ****ed up. I want to look at the last 275 hands, and it returns the last 325...yes I am in the reports section.

*I have no idea how this could be, but it seems like some hands are not being imported while others are from the same session. I was stacked this session in a 250bb pot, but it's not showing up at all, while other hands from the same session are. I have no filters on and I did not quit the table early. How can this be?

I had been getting this error "Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host "

I have tried everything in the FAQ and re installed postgreSQL.Im now getting this error which i have never seen before.
"The following error occurred when trying to open the database.Unable to read data from the transport connection.An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine"

Which HM version?
Which operating system?

This usually means that a firewall is blocking the connection between HM and postgresql.

I don't have anything called table manager or a tab like that or any place where I can go to save positions. What am I missing? I have HEM professional version.

The table manager is the window which opens when you start the auto-import.

Duplicate hands lets me think your database is damaged. Please create a new database for a test, import some hands/sessions from the archive and test with this hands.

Hi, I just bought the 90$ HEM version and got my code. I then downloaded the software and entered the code in the sign up interface where I also had to put in my name. I click the "Activate online now. Requires an active internet connection" button and I get the message: "There were errors during activation. you can retry activating online or go back and try another method. If problems persist contact customer service."

Any help appreciated.

How can I save the certain HUD profile for the certain table type? It's annoying to change the profile every time I sit to a table.

I can't get my HUD to work for tournies on iPoker, more specifically Mansion (haven't played cash game tho, so don't know if it works there or not). I've checked that Mansion stores my hands locally and I've auto detected the folder where the HH's are. I've also tried using the Table Finder. Any1 got any inputs?

Please send your Reg.log file from the C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Logs folder. If your Windows is hiding known file extensions the file will simply be called 'reg'.

Make sure the Use For tab is improperly configured for all of your HUD layouts. You also want to be sure you are selecting the proper HUD from the Choose Configuration: drop-down menu, when making changes tot he Use For tab.

The Default HUD should be set to a site you never play, and make sure none of the other layouts have conflicting rules. Any time HM isn't sure which HUD to use, it will revert to the Default HUD (even if it is set to a site you never play).

I havent used bodog in a while, but I can recall having problems during bodog remote support sessions once or twice.


Add your screen name to HUD Options > Setup Hero Names...


Bodog auto-centers you, so you should be able to just adjust the settings under HUD Options > Site Options > Preferred Seating for 6 max, etc.

Configure your pokerclient preferred seating and seating preferences in HM accordingly.

4) Now you can open further tables but you will always have to play at least one hand for the stats to be moved to the correct positions.


If you are still having problems, you can try the following:

Try to set all the HUD Options > Seating Preferences > Bodog to ' - ' (Null).

Then try: HUD Options > Player Preferences > Choose Configuration > pick the applicable HUD config > Appearance tab > Fix My Stats Position

That will lock the hero HUD in the top left corner of each table.


If still having problems, try the following:

1) Export any custom HUD configs and Copy/Paste your \Config folder before deleting any files as a backup.
2) Close HM and the Table Manager.
3) Delete your existing HUD Prefs files, so HM will rebuild them to default.
4) Delete > \Holdem Manager\Config\prefs.xml, pospref.txt, pospref2.txt, pospref4.txt, default.txt, and exenames.txt
5) Start HM< Auto Import, Open the Table Manager, and test on a single cash table.

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

Please update to the latest release - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe


Make sure the hand histories and poker client are in English.


Make sure windows is fully updated until 'No New Important Updates are Found' (this may require multiple restarts), including Internet Explorer (even if you use a different web browser) and change your Windows Control Panel > Regional Settings Format to English (USA).

Make sure you follow the directions exactly.

Pick the table name in the table finder window to highlight it

If you don't see a table name listed, please drag the red X to the table and click OK. Open the Table Finder again and the list should be populated with the table name now, so you can select it.

Left-click and drag the red X to that table window

Click OK

I know these issues have been lingering, so I am sorry.

I just searched this thread and reviewed all your posts and don't see where I suggested this previously, so I apologize for not reviewing all of your posts and our responses better earlier.

Please try the following:

1 - Sign out of the site and close your browsers. Clear your cookies, web cache, etc. Re-open browser, try again.

2 - If still having problems: What page are you on when you attempt to enroll? If you are on the home page, click through to the My Account page and try from there. If on the My Account page, try clicking back to the home page and trying again.


If you are still unable to solve it please email your details/questions to sales@holdemmanager.com, with a link to this thread and your forum name.

Thanks for all the help so far. One last question, I'm using Pokertracker JUST FOR A BODOG HAND GRABBER because I hate their hud so much, and want to find out how to import the grabbed hands..but they aren't in the folder it says they would be, or at least I cannot find them through browsing.

E:\Users\Beau\AppData\Local\PokerTracker\Bodog Hand History\Bodog_Durban_1313261115.txt is the actual location but when I go to add this folder to auto import or just to manually import files from that area there is no such folder.

Then even when I just put in the pokertracker folder, it will say it's importing files, but they don't come up in my reports and my hud on hem won't start.

This folder is a hidden folder so you need to enable the option in Windows to make them visible.

I have a couple of questions.

I have windows vista (possibly relevant?) and just joined everleaf network. I have HEM tracking my hands and results, however, can not get the HUD to display. Raise and Fold is my skin on everleaf and the HH are being saved in a folder that is not on the C drive. I think this might be why the HUD doesn't display. Please confirm?

Also, I am getting a new laptop this week. How do I go about getting HEM on my new laptop. I won't have to buy it again right? What information do I need to grab from HEM? How does that procedure work, getting HEM on a new computer.

Omaha is included in the same install as Holdem you just need to have a different code. Omaha version is exactly like Holdem but if you really want to try it out email sales@holdemmanager.com and they can give you a temporary holdem/omaha code for a trial.

Having your hands on a different drive than the C drive should not affect the HUD. Try using the table finder

I've been playing exclusively 45 man turbos on stars for the last while but HEM seems to be recognising only some games as 45 mans, and others as having weird numbers of players. Any idea whats going on?

You need to request and import any/all your tournament histories and import those to HM. Stars did not write the tourney summaries to your hard drive in the past, like FTP did. They recently added this feature, so please enable the option in the PokerStars client and add the folder to your Auto Import Folder Configuration.

Email support@pokerstars.com and ask for ALL your old Hand Histories and Tournament Summaries.

They will send you an email with links to zip files of your hand histories. Download all the zip files. Right-Click > Extract the contents of each zip file to a new folder. HM > Import From Folder for all of the unzipped hands.

The tournament summaries should be attached to the email as .htm files. Download the attachments. HM > Import File(s) for all of those files. It will probably ask you to search/select your Pokerstars screen name. If the files are sent as .html you will need to rename them (Right-Click > Rename) from .html to .htm extensions.

I bring up table finder and click the table so it is highlighted in blue and drag and drop the red box over the table.

The table never shows up in table manager. It shows up in table finder as unattached tables, but not table manager. The window title and owner just never populate after I drop the red box on it. And the red box never returns anywhere, I assume this is because it isn't detecting the tables.

I am puzzled.

The hands are importing fine and in HEM replayer, I see the HUD. I just don't see it when im playing
