Thank you for prompt reply Fozzy!
I have HM3 full version. If i'm changing computers, desktop to laptop, what would be the easiest way to fully migrate with all notes, HH, etc.? Back up db on desktop then Restore db on lap?
Yes, but you need to make sure you have the latest beta version installed on both machines as some of our recent previous releases were not backing up the \HUD, \Config and \Reports folders properly. It is also a good idea to manually backup any custom HUD profiles, and the original hand history files, so that you have them all on both computers just in case you ever need the original/individual HUD profiles and hand history files that were auto imported to create the database originally.
You can make a backup of the active database and settings at any time by using the Tools - 'Backup Database...' menu.
- Individual HUD Profiles can also be exported from the HUD - HUD Editor - Options button menu.
- All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HM3Archive is in C:\HM3Archive by default, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Network\Month\DayOfMonth (example: C:\HM3Archive\SiteName\HM3Archive\2016\07\31). It is configured in the Tools - Settings - Import menu.
If you also want to manually backup the database/settings files: Your actual uncompressed HM3 databases are stored in C:\Users\{UserName}\Documents\Holdem Manager 3\Databases\.
Your personalized HM3 settings/files are stored in C:\Users\{UserName}\AppData\Roaming\Max Value Software\Holdem Manager\3.0\. If you can't see it, turn off the windows option that is hiding that directory -

Also, how many installations are allowed? (I read somewhere two)
Your HM3 license allows you to install and use the software concurrently on two computers owned and used by you. Here are the full details of the
HM3 End User License Agreement (EULA), which you can always find in the footer of any page on our website.
