A few times already i gotten the message an instance of holdem manager 2 is already running after i open the program and you can't click on anything. Only way to do anything is basically control alt delete and close holdem manager 2. But then when i click on hm2 on desktop, i get that message. Thus i have to turn off my computer and restart it while playing everytime this happens.


How do i fix this issue? Also i mentioned that i never vacuumed or anything on my hm2 database. Can you tell me how do i this in very clear instructions as im not computer tech savy?


Also i notice that on 888 poker, the tournament results are not recorded correctly. Example if i play a 7.50 progressive tournament, it doesn't even show 7.50 as the buyin amount but a different number. Is there a reason for this? Also for partypoker and 888, any players you bust out in a progressive tournament, hem2 cannot record the bounties correct? The same like on stars where it cannot record the bounties? Also, hem2 does not record the rebuys you make right whether its those 3.50 rebuy tournaments on stars or any rebuy you make on stars tourneys or 888 or partypoker?

If you continue to have problems, please reproduce the problem and send your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing.

Try creating a new DataBase and import a small portion of your \HM2Archive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB.

If the new database seems to work properly, it sounds like your database might be corrupt. Please continue to use the new database and import the rest of your hands using the steps above. This is why regular backups are a good idea. If your database becomes corrupt you can restore a backup and only have to import the most recent hands (that were played after the backup was created) and edit any tournament results if necessary. I recommend keeping at least the most recent 2 or 3 backups in case the most recent one does not restore properly you can try the previous backup.

Have you tried HM3 Beta yet?

Any tournament with more than 1 table (and some single table games) will require a separate Tournament Summary/History file to be imported for HM2 to properly calculate the size, places, and prizes. Without this information it is impossible for HM2 to work out the correct results. The only sites that currently write these summary files that we support right now is Pokerstars, Full Tilt, and Pacific. If your site does not write summaries, or you experience any discrepancies with the results, you will need to manually edit the results via the Reports > Tournament > Tournaments > right-click > edit - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...rnament+Editor

All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HM2Archive is in C:\HM2Archive by default, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HM2Archive\2009\07\31) or if it was auto-imported with 7283+ it would be in \HM2Archive\SiteName\YYYY\MM\DD. It is configured in the Site Setup - Auto Import Folders menu.

When sending any files please zip them (right-click > send to > compressed folder) before attaching them to an email. If the attachment is larger than 10MB please upload them to a file hosting site like dropbox, then 'copy public link' and paste the download link directly into the support ticket email.

New to HM2; I would like to know a few things beforehand.
1) If I have a text file/folder with hand histories, when I import the folder into HM2, does HM2 only copy the text files/folder into the HM2 database, which would leave the original text file/folder intact?
2) If I have multiple files/folders, with some duplicate hand histories, which are imported into the HM2 database, does this create an issue, or does HM2 recognize the duplicates?
3) I know that HM2 cannot be used on Ignition, but I wish to download hand histories and place them into the HM2 database, to use them with the hand re-player feature; is this possible? Does HM2 support the hand histories from Ignition without any kind of conversion?

1 - HM2 never modifies hand history files. It parses the information into the PostgreSQL database it uses. If you use the Options - Hand Importing - Manual Hand Import option it will leave your original hand history file in it's original location. If you configure and use the Auto Import (runs on startup for configured auto import folders in Site Setup menu) then it will move the files to an archive folder (C:\HM2Archive) for performance reasons.


2 - HM2 will recognize them as duplicate hands and skip them. They will not affect the database HM2 reads from.


3 - HM2 can not import downloaded Ignition hands. You would need to use a converter to convert those hands to a supported format like IPoker or PokerStars. HM3 Beta will eventually support them but at the moment it only supports normal ring game cash hands, it does not yet support Zone or SNG/MTT hands from Ignition.

In the HUD Designer's 'Skipped CBet' category if you scroll down near the bottom of that category you will find 'Skip Flop CB and Fold To Turn Bet IP' which should be what you are looking for.

I just started playing on BlackChipPoker from the Winning Poker Network. I played a couple jackpot SNG's and the hands from these games weren't importing and the HUD isn't working either. I also tried to import the hand histories manually after I played the games and that also wasn't working. I used to play on America's Cardroom from the Winning Poker Network and the hands imported fine and the HUD worked fine so I have no idea why it's not working with Black Chip Poker. Can you help me please? Thanks

This issue has been documented in detail and provided to the developers to resolve.

If it works on other tables at Party all you likely need is our latest beta as their recent update broke the HUD on Fast Forward tables. Please update to the latest beta version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...ger_2_Beta.exe

- After downloading, you should right-click the file, go to properties and click unblock.*
* If you do not see an 'unblock' option you can ignore this step.
- Then, right click the file and run as administrator.

Here's a tweet explaining my problem. Dunno how to fix this one or even explain it without just showing it. It looks like HM2 is running, and maybe I can have a hud. But no access to the client.

Did you recently add/remove a monitor or change some of your display settings? It is running but it is being displayed outside of the monitor because something caused it's window state positions in the config file to get some negative or extremely large values.


Please follow this FAQ to fix the problem with windows moving off screen.


If you have problems with those workarounds here are some steps to manually edit the config file values:



If you want to reset the HM2 to default size/position:

- Close HM2
- Open your holdemmanager.config file from C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager in a text editor.
- If your Windows is hiding known file extensions the file will simply be called 'holdemmanager'.
- If you can't see it, turn off the windows option that is hiding that directory. http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...es+in+Windows+
- Look for the 'WindowStates' section and delete this line, which should not have any name between the first two quotation marks, in that section:

- Save/close the file and restart HM2.



If you have any problems getting the file edits to save you may have a permissions issue and need to copy the config file to your desktop where you can edit it without the permissions issue, then save the file and copy it from the desktop before you paste it back into it's original location and overwrite the existing config file.

Is it possible in HM2 to have a pop up with for example RFI stats for each position in a full ring?
I can see we can have stats for all positions at 6 max but if I am multitabling 6max 8max 9max tournaments am I right in thinking I can't get 100% accurate number for each specific position?

Is it possible to get an accurate number of villians RFI from specifically UTG (MP in HM case) at 8max when I already have stats on him at 6max for MP.

Also what happens to the stats when you play a mix/max game ie.6max next level 8 max?
I think it would be best if you had 8 different stats that can't be altered for these popups (SB BU CO HJ MP UTG+2 UTg+1 UTG) obviously then if we are playing 6max then the last 3 stats would be left blank.

Where in HEM could I find a stat for how villain plays vs a delayed Cbet? Example I open btn villain defends BB flop x/x turn he checks I bet.....

HM2/3 do not have FR positional stats in the HUD. There is a Full Ring Position report in the More Reports menu.

For the HUD that will depend on what you setup in the HUD Settings menu under the HUD Filters and Tournament Filters sub-menus.

Don't understand why you need to merge EP stats? It seems a simple fix to me.
Is there any plan to have it correct in the future?
It's very important to me to have set seat 7, 8, 9 stats.

There are no plans for full ring positional stats in the HUD. You can only see them in the reports.

The EV bb/100 stat won't show up in my reports>stats. Rest of the stats show up, but not evbb/100.

The missing stats can be shown if you right click one of the column headings and enable the stat. Sometimes they are added but not enabled. Once enabled you may have to scroll to the right, hold the left mouse button over the stat you just enabled then drag it back to the left to the proper column where you want it aligned.

If you continue to have problems:

- Close HM2 and then delete:
- Win7: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\Co nfig\ColumnSettings
- XP: c:\documents and settings\username\application data\HoldemManager\Config\ColumnSettings

Sorry for missing this earlier, the forums are pretty hit and miss with sending out email notifications for new posts lately.


There are no HUD stats for this in HM2. HM2 only has these delayed CBet stats from hero's perspective, not villains, in the 'Skipped CBet' category of the HUD Designer. It would be possible to create with NoteCaddy Premium though with combination actions if you have a license for that app. Here is a thread from our forums with similar questions/answers.

Neither HM2 or HM3 support Chico Network. There are 3rd party card catchers/converters that can be used to make HM2 think you are playing on a supported site but if you go that route and have issues with HM2 on an unsupported site all support needs to be handled by the 3rd party converter's team.
