Please duplicate the issue.

Open Control Panel - System - Administrative Tools - Windows Event Viewer's - Windows Logs - Applications.

Check for any errors and send the information by saving the error. They should be right at the top. We need errors, not information.

Please send a log file as well.

Export the hands from HM1 - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...t+Hands#export all files

Import them to HM2 - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...Hand+Importing

We have a HM1 database import feature but some customers have had problems with it and since so few are converting HM1 DB's to HM2 at this point we don't want our developers working on a solution for it when their time could be better spent fixing things that affect a larger portion of our customers. These HM1 > HM2 DB import issues requires a lot of developer time and it will only fix the problem for the one person that sent his entire HM1 database backup.

If your HM1 database has player notes that you want in your HM2 database you will have to use the direct database import and then export the hands from HM1 and do a Manual Import > Force Import of Previously Imported Hands in HM2 to fill in any gaps that were created during the original database import.

No, no trackers support it yet AFAIK. If we decide to add support it would only be in HM2 but we have not made a decision yet if we ever will support this new network. We don't have any short-term plans to add any new network support and when we do add new sites it is done by the popularity of the network and number of requests in our system for a particular network. At this point we have a few other networks that are more popular than Lock that people have been asking us to add support for since before we released HM2.

Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloa..._10Oct2013.exe

*Try creating a new UTF DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...elete+Database

*Now import a small portion of your \HMArchive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...6+Export+Hands

All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HMArchive is likely not in your \Holdem Manager directory. We normally suggest you use C:\HMArchive, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31).

*If the new DB seems to work properly, you will want to import the rest of your archives to the new DB, export/import the hands from the old DB to the new DB, and export/import any player notes and tourney summaries - and then delete the old DB.

*Make sure you export/backup everything before deleting the old DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...+-+Backup+Tips

Go to Tourney > Results > Dataview and select the tourney in the upper window. The last 100 hands will be displayed in the bottom window for that tourney. Select [x] All to see all the hands from that game.

They are sorted by time, with the last hand of the game at the top of the list. If you wanted to replay a tourney from start to finish you would click the Time column heading twice to resort them in chronological order. Left click the first hand at the top of the list then Right click and choose Export All Hands to hard drive

I hate to ask such as basic questions, especially since I've used the progam before.

I haven't use HM2 for a few months due to incompatibility with my antivirus software, Comodo, which I'm not willing to give up.

I think that I've found a workaround for that issue, and I want to download HM2 and postgre, but any download that I can find doesn't mention postgre, only HM2.

Where do I go to download both as a unit?

The installer from our downloads page has both. It doesn't actually contain the postgresql installer though. When it detects you don't have postgresql installed it will download the latest 8.4.x installer from postgresql.org and install it to your C:\ drive. If you want it installed to a different partition for any reason you will want to download 8.4.x or 9.0.x manually and install it before you install HM2.

I would be surprised if you found a workaround for comodo but if you in fact did and don't have problems with HM2 or PostgreSQL once they are installed again please let us know what your solution was so we can do some testing. Comodo is easily the most over-zealous firewall on the web. I think I used it briefly with HM1 4 or 5 years ago but all the comodo prompts drove me crazy and it was quickly uninstalled. I spent more time telling comodo things were safe than it would take to reformat my system in the 1/100k chance I were to get infected with a lesser firewall. I have been using Win firewall and Ms Security Essentials on all my computers, which are online 24/7, for the past 4 or 5 years without even a minor infection of any sort.

Playing about 7 tables of Zoom with a large database, when I first start playing the HUD always needs to be warmed up to get it going at a good speed. I guess caching much of the database into RAM of with I have 64 gigs. But after about 7k hands I've found HEM2 causes some lag on Pokerstars so I have to close HEM2 and reopen it.

Also if I use the Notecaddy pre load it makes it lag from the start much worse than after playing 7k hands.

HEM2 is not the only program I've found cause Pokerstars to lag. I no longer use HoldemIndicator because of this.

I use HEM 2 and in the reports section the "Tournaments" tab went missing all of a sudden.

It's the one which lists each tournament you play, and allows you to assign tournament tags/do HH reviews etc.

Any ideas as to why?

How many hands does your hero/alias have? How big is the database according to the Database Info tab?

Is the performance improved if you pick a non-hero name in the reports that only has a few hands in your database when playing live?

That is really odd. That NC feature should improve the performance.

How many stats are in your HUD? How many badges? Are you using NoteCaddy Edge or Advantage? Any custom definitions/badges you created yourself?

It might be the result of one or two poorly created definitions that are used for badges in your HUD. You can try making them inactive one at a time to see if it helps. If you want to try resetting everything to default at once you can try the steps below.

1) Start HM2 and Export any custom HUD configs - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...rashing+Issues

2) Close HM2.

3) Please create a backup of your settings and reset your settings as explained here - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...fault+settings

4) Restart HM2

5) Manually reset your HUD Options > Seating Preferences > for your site/seats

Try to reproduce the problem using the default HUD/settings. If it works properly you can try importing your customized HUD again that you exported in step 2 above. If the problem returns after importing your HUD you know it is a problem with your HUD Config and you will need to recreate it from scratch or import an older backup of the HUD.

If that solves your problems please email us the files you backed up in step 1 of this email by following step 2 in this FAQ - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...fault+settings

If that did not solve your problems you can restore all of your original settings using the Utilities menu as explained in step 3 of the above FAQ.

Our last release had some specific stars tourney results parsing changes and our next release will have a few more (specifically related to bounty/knockout games) so you may want to wait until after our next release to correct the previous games. You will need to either purge and reimport the hands from any date before they started importing correctly (i.e. any date before you downloaded and installed the last update) or just create a new database and import them all. If you decide to just make a new database and have player notes in your current database you want in the new database you can backup the player notes and skip the database, then restore the notes and skip the database into your new database before you import the hands, and once the hands are imported the players should have the same notes in the new database. If you need instructions for purge, import, backup/restore, just search our FAQs for the keywords. If you have any problems let us know and we will be glad to help in any way we can.

If anyone is willing to share some PokerStars HU Cash hand history files with one of our developers for testing purposes could you please PM them to me? They will be kept in the strictest confidence and not shared or used for anything that would be against the terms of the sites we support. It doesn't have to be a huge sample but a decent sample/session with a wide variety of hands would be appreciated.

Does your \postgresql folder have full read/write permissions?

Use this FAQ as a guide of how to set folder permissions and make sure it is done for the \postgresql folders.

Played last 3 months with HEM1 on Party and not once had a crash/freeze. Now I installed HEM2 and have played 2 days and had Party freeze once on both days. Accompanied with the lag that makes adding player notes or checking previous hands very unpleasant experience makes me wish I didn't upgrade.

Uninstall AVG, reboot your PC, fix the permissions. That should allow you to reclaim purged space when vacuuming but I can't be sure that AVG hasn't caused problems with your current database so use it at your own risk and you may want to consider creating a new database now that the problem (AVG) has been removed.

I would not reinstall AVG. It causes tons of problems. I recently called it the devil ITT.

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

Many of those free Norton, Mcaffee, Comodo, Zonealarm, Avira, Avast, AVG, Bitdefender, etc, 'internet security' bundles will not work well with Holdem Manager.

Please do the following steps, so we can get your computer to a state that we know will work with Holdem Manager:

1) Uninstall any 3rd party security software bundles.
2) Reboot your computer
3) Enable Windows Firewall's recommended settings through your Control Panel, turn off Windows Defender, and add firewall exceptions for HM and SQL - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...%28Firewall%29
4) Install Microsoft Security Essentials for antivirus/malware protection and update it - http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

If you continue to have problems, try the following -

1) Please make sure you are installing on an administrator account and running as an administrator.

2) Please turn off UAC.

3) You'll need to add:
- hmupdate.exe (only exists during update)
- holdemmanager.exe
- hudfuncapps.exe
- postgres and pg_ctl, your poker client .exe
- table ninja.exe
- notecaddy.business.dll and notecaddy.contents.dll from the modules folder in holdemmanager's program files folder (you might have to type in the names in some firewalls, they do not show)

to the exceptions list in your firewall and antivirus. ****

4) Make sure that windows is fully updated. Keep checking for updates until it says twice five minutes apart that there are no more updates available.

5) You need to make sure that this folder*,

8/7/Vista: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\

XP: C:\Documents and Settings\User_name\Application Data\HoldemManager

as well as c:\programfiles\holdemmanager2, c:\hm2archive, c:\hmarchive and your site's hand history folder are each not read only** and that all permissions are set to full for your user name. ***

* You will need to show hidden files. See this tutorial for showing system and hidden files:

http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...in+Windows%3F+

See the location here for win 7:

http://www.udbrky.com/hmsupport/configfile.PNG

See the location here for win xp:

http://www.udbrky.com/hmsupport/configfile.PNG

** You will need to right click the folder, open properties. At the bottom in Attributes, uncheck the Read-Only. The folder will continue showing read only after that, this is an issue in Windows

*** This is in Properties as well, in Security.

****Please see this guide for Windows Firewall:

Please see this FAQ for setting permissions and unchecking read only:
