This is not possible currently but has been requested.

I don't recall your email off the top of my head but assuming you have the same forum name on our forums I have added your email address to the ticket so we can notify you once we have fixed it.

Basically yes, but you should not dump large quantities of old hand histories into your auto import folder. Copy it from the laptop and paste it in to your \HM2Archive folder on the other computer then use the Hand Importing > Manual Import > Import Folder to import from the new folder.

p.s. I assume you probably know this but you can install HM on 2 computers if you want. You can also use something like Dropbox to share/sync your \HM2Archive folder if you are playing on 2 computers to make it easier to keep the databases sync'ed and you can also use the HM Sync feature of HM2 to sync your database's hands.

3) So I just decided to create a new DB.

Between those three things, my HUD no longer seems to work. I just get a blank HUD template with a bunch of zeroes in it. I can see HEM2 updating the results of the hands (who won the last 3 hands and pot sizes), but the data in the HUD for the players don't seem to update - they are still all blank or zero. I tried playing for 5 minutes, and still nothing came up. Any ideas?

PS Preloading NC notes didn't seem to help.
Regarding #2: You could/should have tried resetting and recreating your NC notes to reclaim some of that space. Resetting them should clear the notecaddy_data table in the database and then recreating them with the new improved definitions will use up some of that space again but hopefully not as much. Make sure you run a full maintenance on the database after creating notes on the entire database and periodically if you play a lot of hands.

Regarding the HUD issues: I don't think these issues are necessarily related to the definitions but it is hard to be sure without having a copy of your definitions and HUD.

1) Export any custom HUD configs.
2) Open the HM2 > HUD Options > Displayed Stats menu > Click 'Reset' > [x] All Configs > OK
3) Manually reset your HUD Options > Seating Preferences > for your site/seats

Try to reproduce the problem using the default HUD/settings. If it works properly you can try importing your customized HUD again.

My HM1 has been working fine but lately every time I click on the Import page on the top left. It bogs down my system and shows "Not responding". This happens all the time for the past 2 weeks now. I have the version 1.13.01 Internal on Widnows 8. Can I get some tips to make my HM1 not acting this way.? I ran "vacuum analyze database" but it didn't help at all.

I don't have firewall on or any antivirus either. My comp has 8GB memory and quadcore. Everything is working fine it's just that one problem when I navigate to Import or change players name. I get that "not responding" on the header of HM1 name

Thanks!

Do you have a really large database? Does this happen if you create a new smaller database with just a few months worth of hands? Are you using a laptop and/or a 5400rpm HDD?

See if any of these suggestions help - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...6+Speed+Tweaks

Make sure windows is fully updated until 'No New Important Updates are Found' (this may require multiple restarts and multiple 'check for updates'), including Internet Explorer (even if you use a different web browser).

1) Go to C:\Program Files\Holdem Manager 2 (Program Files (x86) for the 64bit version)
2) Right click the HoldemManager.exe and choose "Properties".
3) Go to the Compatibility Tab and select "Run this program as an Administrator".
4) Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for HudFuncsApp.exe

If you continue to have problems, please reinstall Microsoft .NET Framework - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...p+Instructions

my HUD is not working for betfred on ipoker. the stats show up but they dont match up with the player's names. sort of like how it was with zoom a few days ago. I dont know what to do? I just downloaded betfred and starting playing on there today and not too familiar with anything if that helps with solving my problem.

for example "litwarrules" stats aren't there, waterman's stats appear but he's not even on the table..

All these steps I have tried multiple times but didn't work. One thing I forgot to mention is this happens only when HM1 is in importing progress mode. If I click on "Start Auto Import" button and navigate away and than back, this causes HM1 to bog down and "not responding". I don't even have a big database. It's only 250K hands total. I also tried smaller database beforee and still didn't work either

HM1 doesn't support iPoker Speed tables and we have no plans to add support. The only fast-fold games that HM1 supports is FTP Rush and Stars Zoom. If you want to use HM on iPoker Speed tables you will need to upgrade to HM2 which supports them.

The only other thing I can think of off the top of my head, since you said you don't have any anti-virus or firewall installed (which I don't really recommend in general, especially for a poker PC), would be that you possibly configured an import/archive loop and it is trying to read a large number of files in your auto import folders.

Make sure that none of the Options > Configure Auto Import Folders... are configured to import from an archive folder or a sub-folder of an archive folder. If you aren't sure how to check you can email us the config file to look at or open it in a text editor and paste the contents into
tags in this thread and I can take a look at it.

Please email your holdemmanager.config file from C:\Program Files(x86)\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config. If your extensions are off you'll just see a file called holdemmanager. Windows hides 'known file extensions' by default. http://www.granneman.com/techinfo/windows/showextensions/

This is not possible but it has been requested for this to be able to be customized.

The previously assigned internal ticket # on this issue is HM-7294: Active Session stats request

If you want to be notified when it is fixed please send an email to support@holdemmanager.com and include "Notify Me When HM-7294 Resolved"in the subject line and body of the email.

My question was more... what would cause a HUD to be blank after creating a new DB? Are there any settings I need to update after creating a new DB? I notice I have to recreate my aliases all over again. I know the HUD is getting the current HHs because the winners of the previous 3 pots are being updated. But not sure why the HUD itself wouldn't update, when it worked perfectly fine before I created the new DB.

I'm also wondering if there is some kind of calculation issue (ie it's taking a really long time for the stats to load).

Thanks.

also, I got my original DB to work. But I'm still really puzzled as to why a new DB with slightly fewer hands, with the same NC notes (that were freshly recreated), that is about 1/2 the size, would not have the HUD work, while the HUD works fine on the original DB. I guess that's why I'm wondering if there is an issue with the settings.

I found the email. The config file looks fine.

I just looked back over our history and don't see where I asked what version you were using or asked you to update:

http://forums.holdemmanager.com/rele...m1-update.html

I am not sure what else could be causing this at this point as I don't recall issues like this in the past. One of our testers suggested it might be related to a bad postgresql installation but that is really just a guess at this point. It might be worth a shot to rule it out but if you decide to reinstall postgresql make sure you make a backup of your database, export your hands from the database, and also keep a copy of your \HMArchive so that you have multiple copies of your current database.

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.
2) Use our combo installer to reinstall PostgreSQL. Make sure you un-check Holdem Manager during installation. http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...ager_Setup.exe

If that installer fails to install PostgreSQL, please reinstall PostgreSQL using the following instructions:

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.
2) run the command - start > programs > accessories > command prompt > right-click > run as administrator
net user postgres /delete
4) reboot.
5) Install PostgreSQL 9.0.x from postgresql.org

The only thing I can think of off the top of my head if the new database is significantly smaller than the previous database would be the HUD/Tournament Filters.

Make sure that your HUD Options > HUD Filters are all set to '2 to 10' and the HUD Options > Tournament Filters are all set to '1 to 81+'. Changing these filters to anything other than their default settings will make the HUD Stats change drastically based on the number of players at the table and/or their stack sizes in tournaments.

See these FAQs for more info:
- http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...nament+Filters

If that doesn't fix the issues, please reproduce the problem and attach a screen shot -http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/general/ht/winscreenshot.htm - showing the HUD, the Report for one of the selected players with the problems, and pictures of the HUD Filters and Tournament Filters.

It is possible but we don't generally recommend it. Most customers are usually asking us how to reduce the amount of RAM use since it uses a lot more than what they are used to if they used HM1.

HM2 caches certain information in order to optimize search results and report load times. The minimum RAM that HM2 was designed for is 2GB but we recommend 4gb or 8gb+ for optimum performance. This caching is significantly faster if you have a fast hard drive (i.e. Solid State Drive). If you have a laptop with a 5,400rpm HDD and a large number of hands this process can take a fair amount of time but the pay off is that the reports will load much faster when changing from report to report in HM2 and when doing filtering/review of the reports.

The amount of caching (and thus the amount of RAM used) for an individual user is, in part, dependent on the RAM available and how much RAM is required for other applications you are running. Thus HM2 intelligently uses RAM based on a balancing act between how much you have and how much you are using elsewhere. If someone has a significant amount of RAM available, HM2 will cache more in order to further improve your response times to queries and report loading.

We spent a significant amount of dev/testing time over the winter to implement a new Dynamic Working Set Cap method of RAM use to reduce performance issues customers were having. The only time we normally suggest editing this working set cap is when people have limited RAM and/or huge databases and want to reduce the amount of RAM being used. You are one of the first to ask how to increase the memory use and the few others that asked had significantly more RAM than you did (i.e. 12 - 64 GB). If you are sure you want to try editing the amount of RAM used please PM me your email address and I can send you the instructions but we don't post the instructions publicly as we don't want people editing their config file values unless absolutely necessary.

The default and minimum Static memory cap is set to 350mb and the default Dynamic is set to 400mb per 1mil hands. The base/static cap is set to 350mb and Dynamic cap is 400mb per 1mil hands if you don't edit the config file. These values are hard-coded into the program and are not part of the config file by default.

been looking online for my answer and can't seem to find it so have come on here?

will hm2 keep hand historys of tables i'm not sitting at if i leave them open?

for example in cash games if i open up and just view 10 tables (for example) leave them open for half an hour but am not sitting at them will it watch the people activity's and start to keep there records/vip etc?

or do i need to be active at a table in order for hm2 to collate the info on other players?

i take it this will be the same answer for if i'm at a tourney and i wanna keep a track on the other tables and how players act before they potentially join my table?

i would like to keep records of players on tables i'm not active on for future encounters basically??????????????????????????

We do not support datamining since the majority of the networks we support do not allow you to use hands in your database that you did not participate in.

Are you referring to 10x of the hud error reports? We don't reply to those personally. I know the message in this new hud error report is a little misleading and we are working on fixing that message and setting up a new auto responder to make it more accurate.

Please use the tool in the following link to send a HUD Report - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...Reporting+Tool

Please reproduce the problem and attach:
- a screen shot of the table/desktop
- a hand history for the table
- Please send a log file as well - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...ger+Support%3F

Please zip and email the requested files to hm2support@holdemmanager.com and let us know that you also sent a hud error report.

If you can not see the 'Waiting for hands...' HUD please try using the Table Finder and then you should be able to use the 'Report a HUD Problem' menu - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...+not+appear%3F

You can sometimes use that Table Finder tool to attach the HUD to tournaments that don't show the HUD automatically while we work on a fix based on the information sent in your hud error report. If so, you will need to use the Table Finder each time you get moved to a new table.

Make sure that the Site Time Adjustment is properly configured such that the Time Stamp in the Reports for the hand matches your local windows clock time - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...ime+Adjustment

* Site Time Adjustment Warning: If you change the settings in the Full Tilt timezones and then use HM2s auto detect it will cause problems. Since FTP has a timezone setting there is no reason to use an offset in HM2. This feature is there from before they introduced the timezone feature to FTP so just set it to 0 in HM2 > Hand Importing > Site Time Adjustments and set your correct timezone in FTP. If you set your Full Tilt Lobby clock to ET and do not live in ET you will need to adjust the HM2 option accordingly.

If you continue to have problems we need the hud error report and screen shots I asked for so we can determine if it is just a configuration error or if we need to schedule a remote support session.

I am 99% sure this is because of your Site Time Adjustment setting. Please see the instructions above. The HM2 FTP HUD has been working for everyone for a long time so your issues are likely related to a configuration issue on your computer.
