Can you send me a screen shot of the info you are entering to support@holdemmanager.net. I imagine it doesn't like one of the values

Anyway it doesent seem to just have a database all the info is stored in the data folded in what seems to be number files and there are also a few more files in their that are integral to it recognising the database probably because its divided up into lots of sectors. Anyway if i just copy the Base folder it says it cant find it but if i copy all the folders from the backup i done and paste them onto the new drive it gives me the error that it couldnt find the config files stored at c:\program files\ etc but the thing is its no longer installed on the c drive its on the I:\ drive so one of the other files or folders obviously points to the old location, what can i do to sort this out, can you import an old database into the new drive trhough POSTSQL admin?
Backup DB through pgadmin and then restore with pgadmin on new pc should work

Just posting that HUD is very unstable while 9tabling party. Comp slows a little (not too bad) after a while, then I get not responding errors. Happens about every 20 mins, then I just restart it.
Make sure you turn off animations in the Party client - it makes a noticeable difference.

I downloaded the new patch (0.77) and extracted all files into C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager and accpeted to all of the overwrites but when i tried to run HM it was still telling me that my beta version was expired and that i needed to download the latest one. I have a feeling that i must have done something really stupid wrong but could RVG or someone else tell me what that may be?
Does it actually say 0.77b when the app launches? Can you tell me the last modified date of the holdemmanager.exe? I'm wondering if you have an older version cached in explorer / firefox

Small update - working on some other things that aren't quite ready yet

www.holdemmanager.net

January 8th - 0.78b
* Graph max and min values now equal to max and min values in graph - extra buffer was removed - and scale is divided evenly between results.
* Full Tilt hands with (6) in table name instead of (6 max) now import and work in the HUD

Roy, the HUD is crashing frequently.
The cpu usage is fine now and I don't think turning off animations will make any difference regarding the crashing issue.

Request:
Is there anyway on the graph that you could overlay a 'target' line. ie a 5bb/100 line so that we can see how we are doing visually compared to our target bb/100??

I love this idea, please do it!

Also, it's probably already been reported but the hud's player preferences is crashing quite randomly, having hard time setting the color ranges.

To fix my earlier botched installation, this is what I did.

Uninstall SQL, and delete all traces of: C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL.

Then:

From the Start menu select Run. Type COMMAND to open a DOS window. Type the following:

net user postgres /delete

and hit ENTER. Then type EXIT to close the DOS window.

Now a reboot would prolly be wise, before starting the SQL install again.

Can someone give me the basic step-by-step of doing a backup of my HM and PT DB using PGAdmin?

Yeah the HUD is all sorts of buggy on Party now. Not sure what was changed, but it was much better a few weeks back.

Is it possible to import hands to HM through cmd? Personally I think that would be a great little feature.

Roy - is there any reason why you put such a short fuse on the beta expirations? Seriously, why not do three weeks for each one?

Neither of the 0.78 changes seem particularly compelling, yet we have to download and install it primarily to extend the beta. Previously, we've had to download updates which do nothing but extend the beta period. Without a functioning update feature in HM, this is an unnecessary annoyance.

Please reconsider your short beta expiration periods.

Cheers, Carl.

Roy, when you replay a hand in the replayer, and you close the replayer window early, the sounds still play until the end of the hand - is this on purpose?

I have a 33.9MB text file with UB import errors and a 146KB unlabeled text file with more errors. You want em? (I assume that ideally we'd get no errors, and invalid hands would just be ignored, right?)

Also, is auto-import supposed to grab observed hands in .TMP files that FTP writes to your HandHistory directory? Cause right now, I'm running an auto-import (and I have Program Files\Full Tilt Poker\Hand History + subfolders in the auto-import list) with tables open, but it still always says "Auto update did not find any new files..." and won't import them. If I stop the auto-import and click "Import From Folder" and then manually select my FTP handhistory folder, it does import the hands.

Please check your e-mail. My problems seem very similar to the guy in the post above

Crypto mucked hands shows the comminity cards just off the top off the table. I can't seem to right click and drag them back down again.

My own stats are back to only showing my last hand as well. This was fixed in 0.77.

Great product though.

I've been using the HUD on stars since the start of the year and it is largely working well. One thing I have noticed though is there is no option to add W$WSF to the HUD? It has Went to Showdown and W$@SD, but no sign of W$WSF. Any chance that can make an appearance?

It would also be nice to be able to edit the stats a little more, like instead of just 'check raise' i'd like to be able to HUD display 'flop checkraise'

I'm (obviously) not Roy, but I can imagine the last thing he'd want is for there to be a multitude of different versions out there as he tries to track down and fix all the bugs reported. It does not make sense to let people sit around with lots of different old versions where some might report old bugs (not realising it's been fixed already) and/or not discover new bugs or problems.

Having a multitude of different versions in use will only make it much more difficult for the developer to get an overview of current problems and issues.

I'm assuming exports from PokerOffice for any site won't work (since PO uses mySQL rather than postgre)?

There is an issue if your gamehistory.dat is > than apx 150MB that I'm working on now.

Do the tables appear in the table manager? Do you get applicable files being created in the importing\hud data folder of holdem manager?

Quote:

Turning off animation would not affect crashes at all - it would improve flickering and redrawing of the poker windows though if that's an issue on Party for people. Mike is still working on solving the remaining crash issues.

Nope, it is a bug that will be fixed.

That would be great - could you zip up and send to support@holdemmanager.net.

I'll look into this and see what's up. I did some testing with this on FT a couple of weeks ago and it did work.

This is in the bug list

Mike's making big changes to the layout piece that will give you a ton of flexibility with this.

That's definitely a big part of the reason. However, I will try to make the update process less painful and much more automated in the next couple of versions.

Poker Office can export the hand histories which HM can then import. The exceptions are probably OnGame, Prima and iPoker due to the way their hands are stored in their original format. If you can export hand histories for these sites from PO then feel free to send to me and I'll see what I can do with them.

has anybody else got the problem where "Realtime" crashes randomly with stars (normally 8-10tables im playing)? Sometimes its like 10seconds after startin the program, sometimes 10minutes.. Happens multiple times, even when the computer has just been restarted.

Its not THAT big a deal, but its annoying coz i have to keep going back to holdem manager and clickin reload hud. Is there any way you can automise this for me? I dont really care that it crashes reguarly, its just a headache to manually restart it all the time.

I might be totally wrong, but sometimes it seems like it crashes as soon as the autoreload script does something but messes up. Usually my autoreload ahk clicks all the buttons for me. But i have another ahk (starsurgesttable) that moves the mouse to whatever table needs action on. it seems that when the mouse is moved by starsurgesttable WHILE starsautoreloader is tryin to click some buttons, realtime (your hud i think) seems to crash in those types of situations. thats just my random guess but it might just be coinscidence i dunno.

i haven't tried not using autoreloader/starsurgesttable to see if it eliminates the problem coz those scripts are imperative to me being able to multitable properly. thought id ask here if anybody knows about the problem. i have the most recent build fwiw.
