Im using a 'fresh' pc that I've had for a while but never used, its running Windows Vista Home Basic

Ive downloaded OM2 and .NET or whatever it was couldnt install properly, but OM2 is saying its installed

When I attempt to run OM2 I get a message saying it cant find a licence so it will not exit

I downloaded it as a trial, so dont know what this licence bs is. I was never asked to fill in some info for a trial or anything, I simply selected to DL trial and now this has happened

I've been Googling but I'm not getting any love on this question:

Does HM1 still work, and for how long will it continue to work? I haven't played Poker online since FT went down but I'm getting the itch again...

Can't i make my hands look like coming from another website (like if i make a program that changes Pokerstars into something else in every hand history)?
If i do that, which website should i put instead of Pokerstars, and once i reimport all the hands, how to compare the Rake i was getting by considering the hands from Pokerstars with the Rake i get with the new website?
Hi, I understand what your trying to do, you cant easily convert hands into a different format, its not as simple as changing the name of the site, if even 1 character is wrong in the hand history then it wont import.

One thing you could do is ask on the forums for someone who plays on a site with contributed rake to give you an idea of how much rake they get for x hands and work it out from there. Ideally youll need someone with similar VPIP/PFR stats to you. There is also sites that estimate your rakeback but i wouldnt say they are too accurate.

Ok can you email the hands and hand histories to hm2support@holdemmanager.com and give a brief summary of your issue and well get those taken care of quickly

Hi, if the message said that .net didnt install correctly then it probably wont work as this is needed to run HM2 and also HM1. Can you try this version of Microsoft .NET Framework:
1) Download and run this uninstaller - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...eanup_tool.zip
2) Install this one: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/e...5-b386f32c0992

Let us know if that fixes the problem

Hi Navrak, yes HM1 still works and if you upgrade to HM2 it will stay active for at least 6 months after you upgrade. Well continue to support HM1 for the foreseeable future but development of new features on HM1 will be unlikely.

Thx very much, got .net installed and as such HM2/OM2 installed and working on different PC. I will probably play through this PC for the time being, despite it not being as flash

Still having PostgreSQL problems on my other one but I might be reformatting it so hopefully I can fix it that way

Thanks for all your help

Looking to upgrade got the small stakes version of hm1 and wanting to buy the normal version of 2. On the site it says it's not possible but I'm pretty sure with one more click I can actually but it. Question is, will it actually upgrade to the normal version of hm2 and work normally?

After doing the dotnet install you should make sure to run more windows updates.

Make sure windows is fully updated until 'No New Important Updates are Found' (this may require multiple restarts), including Internet Explorer (even if you use a different web browser).

Reformatting is sometimes the best way to solve otherwise difficult to solve problems, but is always a last resort suggestion for us.

If you would like me to take a quick look at your system and try to get it working, before you reformat it (or if you still have problems after a reformat), I would be glad to schedule a remote support session with you.

Please email me at fozzy@holdemmanager.net, with a link to this thread, and your forum name, so we can schedule a Teamviewer session. Download the Teamviewer Quick Support Module - http://www.holdemmanager.com/teamviewer Please let me know what time zone you are in and what time/days are convenient for you. I schedule support from 09:00 - 18:00 GMT, any day except Sunday or Wednesday.

Please make sure all of the HM2 processes have stopped:

right-click your task bar > start task manager > processes

Sort by Name and find any HM2 related processes that may not have shut down before/during your update: HoldemManager.exe, HudFuncsApp.exe, HMUpdate.exe

Please update to the latest version manually - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...ger_2_Beta.exe

You need to upgrade/buy the HM2 small stakes first, to take full advantage of the upgrade discount. Then you can upgrade your HM2 small stakes to the pro version.

http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...Upgrade+Policy

Quote:
Upgrading to a Different Product Type

You can not upgrade directly from HM1 if you have a different product type. For example, if you have HM1 small stakes holdem and want to upgrade to HM2 Pro, then you need to first upgrade HM1 small stakes to HM2 small stakes. Then you can upgrade from HM2 small stakes to Pro.

If you have any questions/concerns about the transaction or upgrade discount, please email your details/questions to sales@holdemmanager.com and they will make sure everything is processed properly.

We have no plans to support the new Bodog software at this time. They have made it clear that they do not want any tracking software with their recent update.

I made an update to my HM and now one of my popups is not working, I am not sure what is wrong.

Everything worked perfectly before last update.

Here is the popup itself, nothing special about it, and as I said it worked before update without any issues.

This is known bug, it has #3880 in our bug database and it is being worked on right now as high priority. We hope it will be fixed soon, but for now I can give you a workaround:
- Close HM and go here:
- For Win7 / Vista: C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\ Config
- Showing hidden files: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tuto...torial151.html
- for XP: C:\Documents and Settings\{username}\Application Data\HoldemManager\Config
- Showing hidden files: http://www.microsoft.com/resources/d....mspx?mfr=true
- and simply rename this popup
- make sure new name do not contains dots, underscores etc - english letters only - and "in one word"
- popup name should not begin or end with digit - english letters only
- Then restart HM - it should work

HM1 and PLO8? If yes, this is a known bug. And IIRC, it seems to only affect live hands that are auto-imported. If you start a new database and import the hands from the \hmarchive I think they will show up in the new database.

Please zip and email the problem hand histories, with a link to this thread and your forum name, to support@holdemmanager.com and make sure you detail the discrepancies and whether its HM1 or HM2 so we can try to duplicate it.

Please update to the latest version 1.12.08 - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

*Try creating a new UTF DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...elete+Database
*Now import a small portion of your \HMArchive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...6+Export+Hands
*If the new DB seems to work properly, you will want to import the rest of your archives to the new DB, export/import the hands from the old DB to the new DB, and export/import any player notes and tourney summaries - and then delete the old DB.
*Make sure you export/backup everything before deleting the old DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...+-+Backup+Tips

I thought holdemanager was the reason my computer was freezing. Turns out it was a windows update that messed with my soundcard drivers. Apprently this is a a big problem right now. You can use the built in windows tool process manager to check which file could be causing the problem. Process Manager is like alt<ctrl<del but more detailed. you can find it under ur system tools or can download it from [link removed - wasnt working, can you link to the offical site the program is hosted on]

people should go easier on holdemanager support right now because it looks like windows 7 updates might be the problem. everybody relax.

I was multi tabling today and noticed that on of of the tables the hud stopped working (the pop up which shows the last 3 hands wasn't changing) I won a big pot during this and looked in my hands and it did not import nor is it releftected on my graph. I know this because I won a pot for over 100bbs.

So, I looked in the folder and see the txt document does have the hand in there. I tried to import the file but got nothing.

there are a few hands I want imported but nothing seems to work. Auto import doesn't find any new files and when I import from folder the hand is not importing.

Help??

Hi,
Do you mean the column width? If so this has been written up as a feature request.

everytime I click refresh but misclick and hit "clear filters" my computer has the worst lag, all the tables and HUD are pitch black. It's a total disaster. Normally my tables are all timed out before they "reappear, and HEM2 is responding again"

Normally I just time out a bunch and deal with it but today In combination with Tableninja the lag caused this hand so forgive the tilt post

If you clear filters the reports / sessions views have to reload all data. I think if you disable Settings -> General settings -> Automatically refresh this should not happen.
We are working on a general improvement so that report refreshes will not affect the Hud and the tables.
