I have never in my entire life used a program this buggy. It's a joke. I really try not to be an ass here but seriously... I don't know what you people were thinking and I don't know what the hell I was thinking buying a licence and thinking the bugs would get
fixed within a few weeks.
Everything seems bugged.

I like the program. But it is way... way too buggy. I can hardly use it. If it doesn't seem buggy(rare) it seems incomplete and very slow. Many stats aren't available in certain reports.

This program is something that will put u on major tilt. It is a -EV purchase. I am only being honest. I am very disappointed in this software upgrade. It feels like I payed for an inferior product.

Hello,

Long time HEM user. Tried HM2 during the testing phase and found it way too buggy and went back to HEM.

I recently got a new laptop so I obviously had to download HEM again and transfer all of my info, which was easy.

During some of my first cash sessions the EV line on my HEM was ridiculously off. As in after 200 hands my EV line was 5000 bbs in the negative. The sessions tab had my $ev at -1600 after a small sample of hands as well. After the first few sessions it has come back to normal but obviously my graph looks ridiculous.

Have you ever seen this before? Is there anyway to go rectify the tainted results to get them produce the correct numbers?

Thanks.

Had this... think the solution was to clear filters (even if there aren't any) and restart HEM. May take a time or two, iirc.

Thank you sir. Unfortunately that did not do the trick as I just tried 4 times. Any other ideas?

hello, I haven't played poker in a few months. I used the HEM1, now that version 2 is out, do I have to pay for it again?

sry I'm sure this has been asked but haven't found answers...

if you want to upgrade to HM2 you do, but you can just keep using HM1. And given the bug complaints, probably a better idea atm.

It would be helpful if you'd point out concrete suggestions. PM me a list of things and I'll look into it and see if I can figure out what's going on/see what is happening with getting them fixed.

Please zip and mail the original handhistory files (you find them in the HM archive folder or in the handhistory folder of your poker client) together with a link to this thread and an explanation of the problem to support@holdemmanager.net. We will then try to reproduce the problem.

I was trying to export all my hands to start another database because of another bug that meant my graphed results were completely different to my reports results. But now it looks like I can't even export all my hands?

So far none of maintenance, backup, restore or export have worked for me at all.

Backup and restore: I made a backup to move to a new installation of windows. It completely failed, the database that was restored bore absolutely no resemblance to the one I backed up and I had to rebuild my database.
Maintenance: Changed the postgresql settings so postgresql doesn't start, just like it did in HEM1 so I had to revert back to an old postgresql config file to get it to work again.
Export: See above, not sure if it works, maybe I didn't give it enough time, but going on the rest of this software, i'd say it's pretty likely it just doesn't work. At the very least the cancel button doesn't work (still waiting for whatever it's doing in the background, looks like it needs killing in taskmanager)

Some other bugs that are really annoying:

1. The hud doesn't update when a new player comes to a HU table. In order to get stats for the new guy I have to restart my hud. But then another bug rears its head:

2. Anytime I open HEM/close the database window/restart the HUD all my tables pop to the front (even ones that aren't even supported by HEM). If I have a bunch of tables on my desktop (when im sitting at a bunch of hu tables) that i'm not actually being dealt into, the active tables that i am being dealt into can get lost somewhere and I time out.

3. Whenever I run a huge report in HEM2 (for instance when I try to bring up a lifetime graph or a report for all my hands for large period) it freezes any tables i'm playing where I have the hud up. It's just ridiculous that this can happen. I get timed out of so many tables just because I try to open something in HEM2.

4. The apply to all reports button only works occasionally. I hate having to hit that button every time anyway it's terrible design but the fact that it only works maybe 50% of the time makes it even worse. It just doesn't update my filters to all reports a fairly high percentage of the time.

I'm getting ****ing annoyed at being your beta tester for software i've paid for. The amount of bugs ive found since release is absolutely ridiculous (and some of them are so obvious that there's no possible way they weren't known about before release). You're making money out of this, it's not like it's a bit of open source software, i've got absolutely no interest in doing your job for you for free. The support i've received so far has been very good and i appreciate that, but the decision to release this software like it is angers me.
What version of postgresql are you running?

Please PM me log files. We need the ones for players not showing. I cannot duplicate this at all.

I wrote up #2 - you're the first person to bring this up. I see your point though.

3) - need more information.

4 - we need logs as well. The button is there as a choice. Not all users want to run the same filters on every report. I do not usually run the same filters on every report, as sometimes I want to see different data and be able to go to another report and compare something. That's why it's a choice.

Please PM me so we can set up something to look into the issues.

How did you transfer your data to the new computer? Which gametype and site are you playing? Which HM1 version?
Is the wrong EV for old hands or for new hands you played on the new computer?

Hi HEM guys, got a small question. I'm playing 6max hyper turbos and I've selected the "save tourney summary" checkbox. In my HEM it displays everything but 6max only pays 1st 2nd but is shows payouts from 1st to 3rd thus messing up my report.
How do i fix that?

I am cash satellite hypers on stars and have major issues doing so with HM 1 (1.12.04):

1) 3rd place finishes get tracked as some sort of min cash
2) The winnings are tracked wrong (one example: $11.22 BI, top 2 get seat worth $33. Winnings get tracked as $27.xx)
3) no hands under the report tab
4) AIEV line doesnt get calculated

Thanks!

What does this mean? If I re-install HEM, will I lose all of the configurations in my HUD?

Apologies if this is a common problem and already been answered.

Please update to the newest version first and if the problem still happens with that version please email hm2support@holdemmanager.com with the hand histories and the summaries and well run some tests

Its indicating the prefs file is corrupt so im afraid youll lose your HUD data, hopefully you had your hud backed, to fix the issue Please go to C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\Co nfig folder. (XP users will find that in C:\Documents and Settings\YourName\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\Co nfig folder.

Close HM2, Look for the prefs.xml file (will be called prefs if your file extenstions are turned off) and make a copy of it, delete the original and restart HM2, please see if the problem persists with that version. If that fixes it please send the corrupt file to hm2support@holdemmanager.com with a summary of the issues and well see what caused the original problem and try and ensure it doesnt happen again

Thanks

I'm using postgresql 8.4. I left that background process running for hrs, it did nothing, still used 5-6gb of ram so i just killed HEM.

I've recreated the HU hud problem, i've emailed in my logfile.

Regarding 3#, I think it happens right at the end of the loading process, just before the graph/report appears. It can last several seconds though.

Regarding #4. I've realised that the time when the button doesn't work is when i've applied a filter to my cash results graph and then hit the button and move to another report. The filters don't update.

I get a similar error, EVERYWHERE. Sometimes when I filter an opponent then myself again in the reports tab HIS stats remain but the names change? Then I can't even view my own stuff. Was at the cbet success report.

Also, when I apply a filter don't let the reports alignment change everytime. If I want by position the blinds to be at the top etc then why does it need to change everytime I filter it...

I have a lot of hands played on a site using kronor, the swedish currency.
It clearly says what the exchange rate should be but it's always the same number 1:1 to the dollar when I look at it in the graph.
Why might that be?

Thats normal because the database update runs in the background without updating the window (=not responding). You just need to wait until its completed. Depending on your database size this will take some minutes to hours.[/QUOTE]

This worked eventually but the fix for on game MTT SNGs doesnt work. HUD is all over the place. Is there a planned fix for this

sorry, i have not followed on HEM2 very closely, so i have a few stupid questions for upgrade from HEM to HEM2:

1) is there a trial period?
2) when I upgrade to HEM2, do I need to install a new instance of postgreSQL?
3) will HEM2 support 888 network or i still need to have a hand grabler?

thanks

Exported them to a zip file and dropboxed them over to the new comp. Downloaded the newest HM1 version but was considering trying to download an older one as I've had more than 1 problem with this newest version so far.

The wrong EV is for new hands played on new computer. And strangely enough only like the first 400 ring game hands.

I play a bunch of games but the problem I am having is with FR on Merge.

Thanks.

Please give exact steps on this. This is what I tried:

1) Open report
Change active player to random player in my DB
Change back to me

2) Go to sessions
Change active player to random player in my DB
Change back to me

3) Go to cbet success report
Change active player to random
Back to me
Open Sessions

In each spot, it showed my correct hands.

In the second part, this is fixed in the next release.
