This is most likely due to missing Windows Time Zones. Please see this FAQ and restore them all back:

For XP: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555537

For 7: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...ime-zones.html

For Win 10 - http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2...dows-10-a.html

If you continue to have problems, please reproduce the problem and send your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing.

The fix for the HUD problems on Horizon/Revolution is high on the HM2 priority list and should be one of the first things fixed after the next HM3 release the developers are focused on.

If you have never done this you should do Full. It will likely take many hours to run on a 20GB DB that has never been vacuumed. Whether or not you can do other things will depend on your machine's performance. I haven't used HM2's DB maintenance in years (I solely use HM3 now) but I think I was able to do basic web browsing, maybe youtube/netflix typpe activities.

Most customers are still using HM2 but HM3 is getting close to being released. HM3 is generally going to be more resource intensive but for some people they have fewer issues with HM3 than they did with HM2. HM3 has a much better tournament detection engine than HM2 had so tournament results in HM3 should generally be more accurate than in HM2.

20GB is pretty big, possibly 4 - 5 million hands depending on how much of that 20GB is bloat because you never vacuumed it. It sounds like you made a new test database briefly at one point.

Most people with 4 or 5 million lifetime hands do not use that lifetime database when playing live. They will keep a live play database of the past 3 - 12 months worth of hands that they periodically purge older hands from. This way they don't have to worry about the performance issues you are having with your 20GB database. Then when they want to review lifetime data they just manually import recent live play hands from the archive folder to the larger lifetime database.

When hem2 freezes, i do open task manager and close hem2. I didnt right click and close it. But i just clicked on it on the task manager tab and then closed it. So that is the same way right? Because when i open hem2 from desktop, i get that message an instance of hem2 is running already. So unless you mean right click and close it as oppose to just clicking it on task manager and close it... which i assume is same thing?

I clicked on maintenance, full vaccum. Then i clicked optimize. It was done in less than 15 minutes. So that is incorrect? It still shows 20gb in the database info. Also there seem to be option to purge. Do i need to do this? If so, would it be all the hands etc?

So im confused here because why did the full vaccum take so quick? I then clicked on quick vacuum all tables and this was all done in like minutes. So im confused what i did wrong here?

Is there an ETA for HM3? Q1, Q2...? I feel like it's been in the making for so long... And I don't feel like buying HM2 and after a few months, the HM3 is released...

We do not have an official release date but that is our focus right now so it should be 'soon'. If you buy HM2 from this point forward you will get a free upgrade to an equivalent HM3 license (currently in private beta testing) when it is eventually released. If you buy HM2 and want to start using HM3 Beta immediately you can request instructions via our support site for activating a beta trial to start using it now.

If ending the task is still not allowing you to restart HM2 without restarting your PC you need to send us log files. Please reproduce the problem and send your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing.

That sounds fine. I just ran it on a 2GB database and it took about 2 minutes.

You won't see any reclaimed space on the system/menus until you restart your PC. There is no way to know how much space might have been freed up. If you are worried about free space, or performance, you should consider trying to use a new smaller database with the last few months worth of hands, instead of playing with your lifetime database, as I instructed in a previous reply.

Purge is used to remove older hands from your database. If you purge hands from your database it will free up more space than just the vacuum process, but you will then need to vacuum and restart again to see how much more free space it cleared.

You didn't do anything wrong. How long those processes takes depends on a lot of factors: database size, system drive speed, CPU/RAM specs, etc.

I have had this same thing happen, it is asking for my license key, but will not accept it. I uninstalled and reinstalled, and it still will not work at all, I also tried using the free trial option, that didn't work either.

Anyhow, I tried the suggested fix and it seems to be working now.

since my holdemmanager and hudfunc.exe are quite heavy on the cpu and causes my pc to slow down i was wondering which of these hud's are more heavy on the cpu:
1) zoom table hud where i have fewer hands on players but each round the hud needs to be refreshed for all the new players
or
2) regular cash table hud where i have a lot of hands on most opponents but there is rarely a hud-box that needs to be refreshed for a new player

I really couldn't say without trying it myself and I don't have access to stars real money tables for testing in HM2. Have you tried HM3 Beta to see if it is more or less cpu intensive? PM me if you need instructions for getting a beta license and/or the latest internal beta version of HM3. FYI HM3 supports stars play money tables.

Hi there,

i have a problem with the shown amounts in my HM.

After a cashgame session with a result of winning $50.00, the amount of money in HM is shown as $500.00.
Same with loosing $20 --> Amount shown in HM: -$200.00

It looks like, HM is just adding more "00" at the end of every amount.
I have the same issue in "Reports -> Overall Graph" and in the "Active Session" tab.

I already checked the HH-Files from my Pokerclient, but the numbers are correct in there.

I got a new laptop and freshly installed HM two days ago.
Never had that problem before.

Any help?
Thanks!

Please zip and email the problem hand histories, with a link to this thread and your forum name, to us using the 'Contact Support' link.

All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HM2Archive is in C:\HM2Archive by default, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HM2Archive\2009\07\31) or if it was auto-imported with 7283+ it would be in \HM2Archive\SiteName\YYYY\MM\DD. It is configured in the Site Setup - Auto Import Folders menu.

When sending any files please zip them (right-click > send to > compressed folder) before attaching them to an email. If the attachment is larger than 10MB please upload them to a file hosting site like dropbox, then 'copy public link' and paste the download link directly into the support ticket email.

We need you to send us HUD/FastPoker feature logging when this happens next. How to enable/collect the logs is explained in detail at the bottom of our Zoom FAQ which is linked again below.

Please update to the latest beta version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...ger_2_Beta.exe

- After downloading, you should right-click the file, go to properties and click unblock.*
* If you do not see an 'unblock' option you can ignore this step.
- Then, right click the file and run as administrator.

IMPORTANT Zoom Installation Instructions:

Make sure you always start HM2 first before you open the PokerStars Client. If you closed PokerStars for any reason and did not close HM2 please close them both and start HM2 before you start PokerStars again.

On the first run, you must start the Hold'em Manager 2 HUD BEFORE you launch PokerStars. If PokerStars is open, you must close PokerStars, start the HUD and then open PokerStars before Zoom HUD will function properly. If the Zoom HUD is not displaying after doing the above, please uninstall PokerStars, rename the associated C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\PokerStars.xx folders. and re-download and install PokerStars as the PokerStars installation is more than likely corrupted and a PokerStars reinstall should resolve the issue.

Please check all of the steps on this FAQ.

If you continue to have problems please tell us which ps.xx skin you play on, what the client/server version numbers are, and send the requested files/screenshots as instructed at the end of the Zoom setup FAQ in the link above.

Hi,

When I copy a hand from HEM2 and paste in the 2p2 hand converter it tells me that it's not compatible? Has anyone else had this?

Thanks.

Which site/games are the hands from? It is most likely a known issue with the hand converter on 2+2. The quickest workaround is for you to copy it out of the Hand History Viewer to 'TwoPlusTwo Format' then paste it directly into a post, instead of pasting it in the converter.

I saw someone else report this recently but I am not sure what the cause/solution ended up being.

Make sure Windows Aero and Desktop Composition are enabled.

Try to change your DPI Scaling to 125 or 96/Normal.

Hey Fozzy71,

For quite a while now my HM2 gets stuck on loading hands when starting up, before it was tolerable now it takes about 3-5min coupled with a 100% crash about 15-20min during session. It happens on any site I play, my tables go black and HM2 freezes, everything works fine again after killing it from Task Manager. Its getting quite frustrating.

I have searched and done just about everything imaginable from the HM2 website.
-latest update
-2013 VCC+
-vacuum, optimized through postgres etc
-ended up deleting everything with Rezzo, still does it after fresh install
-UAC things
-Someone even managed to resolve it by turning off hardware acceleration, still nothing
