And I have no idea how to send the logs. That is literally a foreign language to me. It seems like I am really close to getting back into HM2, just a quick step or two away that I can't figure out. Your help is much appreciated!
I can't help further from the forum for security/privacy reasons. The FAQ I linked to explains how to send the logs in detail. It literally takes a few clicks. if you can't do it just create a support ticket from the email address linked to the license you are having problems with, with a detailed description of the problem, and a link to this thread with your forum name.
Edit: After re-reading your post it sounds like you are trying to register HM2 with a HM1 license.
Please install the latest/final version of HM1 -
http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...ager_Setup.exe
If you have any problems activating it in HM1:
1. Shutdown Hold'em Manager and update to the latest beta -
http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloa...se_1.14.02.exe
2. Navigate to your RVG Software/Holdem Manager/Config folder
3. Create a new text document in the Config folder and name it LicDebug or download it from here -
http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/LicDebug.txt
4. Restart Hold'em Manager
You should hopefully be able to enter your code now. Once you have done this close Hold'em Manager, delete the LicDebug file and restart Hold'em Manager.
If you continue to have problems:
Please try all the steps on this FAQ -
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...Holdem+Manager
If you continue to have registration issues, please send your Reg.log file from the C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Logs folder. If your Windows is hiding known file extensions the file will simply be called 'reg'.
We stopped updating HM1 for critical bugs and providing support for HM1 at the end of April 2014 -

If you have any problems with HM1 there is nothing else we can do since we no longer support this software so you should consider trying HM2. If you have not tried it recently you should be able to install the latest update and activate a new 30 day trial. If you have any problems with the trial let us know and we can extend the trial for you manually.
Due to new rules implemented by Amaya (parent company of both Poker Stars and Full Tilt) recently both the color coding and auto rate features in Holdem Manager 1 are no longer compliant with their new terms and conditions on 3rd party software.
We have updated those in Holdem Manager 2 to be compliant with the new rules however we will not be updating HM1 because we officially stopped supporting that product and doing updates over a year ago.
We encourage you to update to HM2 to make sure you are compliant and avoid any action being taken on your Poker Stars or Full Tilt account.
If you buy HM2 from this point forward you will get a free upgrade to an equivalent HM3 license (currently in private beta testing) when it is eventually released.
