is there a way I can manually delete old files without losing hands or does it really need that much space?
There is no reason for the HM folder to take that much space. What files are taking up all that space? During an import some of the temp/work files can take a lot of space but after the import is finished that folder shouldnt be bigger than a few 100mb.

Try using windirstat to help find what is taking the space - windirstat.info

Logging:

I would suggest you turn off logging on your SQL installation.

To turn off logging, follow these instructions. This is the first thing I do anytime I install SQL for someone. HM1 and HM2 installers disable logging during installation now.

- Start > My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > View > UnCheck 'Hide Extensions for known file types' > OK

- C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\data\postgresql.conf > Right-Click > Open With.. > NotePad > Check 'Always use this program'

- Scroll about half way down to ~Lines 245 - 260:

- The last line of this block of code, for the 'logging_collector', must be changed from On to Off.

HTML Code:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
# ERROR REPORTING AND LOGGING
#------------------------------------------------------------------------------

# - Where to Log -

log_destination = 'stderr' # Valid values are combinations of
                    # stderr, csvlog, syslog and eventlog,
                    # depending on platform. csvlog
                    # requires logging_collector to be on.

# This is used when logging to stderr:
logging_collector = off # Enable capturing of stderr and csvlog

File > Save; File > Close

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL 8.3 > Reload Configuration.

- Start > My Computer > C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\data\pg_log, or C:\Program Files (x86)\PostgreSQL\data\pg_log, if you have 64 bit Vista. Delete all files in that folder. And it might be a good idea to empty your recycle bin at that point, or use a 3rd party utility like CCleaner to clean up all your junk/temporary files.

Please answer honestly :

When (if ever) are you guys going to make HEM2 bug-free/usable ?

I find it really frustrating that HEM2 is crashing and bugging and freezing all the time. It is seriously not usable. And I know that I'm not the only one saying this, as 95% of HEM users are still using HEM1 instead of HEM2 and yet you don't sell HEM1/OM1 Licenses anymore.

I will actually be paying and using for PT3 Omaha instead of Omaha Manager because you refuse to sell OM1 licenses, and OM2 is not usable. You are actually loosing customers here.

Run as administrator? I have no idea what's wrong. This happened a day after I installed HEM1 and was forced to make hidden files visible for hem to find the poker encore file...
Sorry to hear your having issues, i know it can be a pain when you just want to play poker. What network is that on? Unfortunately unless the hands are writing then nothing will work in HM2, i can assure you enabling hidden files and folders would not have caused the issue. I would suggest reinstalling the poker software and if the issues still persist contact their support.

Once you get the hand histories writing then let us know if you still have issues with HM and well be glad to help

Hi, i would like to follow up with you personally and try and resolve these issues, we just made a breakthrough on some performance issues and i would like to get you a build to try out and see if it solves your problems.

I wouldnt waste your time if i didnt think we could solve these issues quickly but i tested the internal build with the fixes last night and i could 15 table on a crap 2gb laptop like it was a super computer so the improvements was pretty huge. I dont want to jump the gun as we havent had a ton of internal testing with this new version but im very hopeful it will solve your issue. The issues your having may also be due to the crash and id like to take a look at your logs to see whats causing that.

I can understand if you simply dont have the time to spend troubleshooting so if you still want to proceed with the refund please pm me and ill help you get it processed quickly and i sincerely apologize for the problems you had.

Hi, your right that it is common, This is usually a firewall or windows update issue and a lot of the time it happens after a windows update or installing an update but this should solve it by following guide step by step:

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...rt+PostgreSQL+ - Can’t Connect / Failed to Start PostgreSQL

Anyone with registration issues on HM1 should install the latest update from here:

http://forums.holdemmanager.com/rele...tml#post595431

1.12.08
* License Failure Fix - Will need to re-register license
* Everleaf HUD not attaching automatically
* Ongame HUD not shown after reseating on some MTTs

Also if you have any of the outstanding issues from the build notes at this link you can test if your issue is fixed in our internal version here:

Windows isnt allowing me to add/change anything on the firewall, not sure why this is. This was working yesterday, I updated and now its not. As soon as the update came, it didnt work.

I cant see anything else in the FAQ that can help either

Ive done some more fiddling and now getting the Failed to establish a connection to '127.0.0.1'

Hi,

I've seen that there is a stat "Average pot size"

Is there a stat that gives the "Average money put in pot (by Hero)" so that i can determine how much rakeback i would get in a contributed rakeback system?

Or is there another way to compute that?

I have been playing on PartyPoker up until now but I recently made accounts on 888Poker and Pokerstars. I started playing on 888Poker today but I'm not sure how I get my hands from 888Poker onto HEM2. I only have the trial and at the bottom of HEM 2 it says *username*(PartyPoker) and I can't find an option to put my account on 888Poker on there. I assume this is because I'm only on trial atm but just wanted confirmation.

Thanks.

It comes with a free version that shows a couple of basic stats in the popups, if you want to upgrade to unlock the full features there is an add on price

HM automatically calculates the rake based on what the sites use so no need to try and work it out yourself just use the rake stat.

Are you importing the summaries too?
See here how to set it up to automatically do this http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...er+Stars+Setup

If you werent doing this then request the summaries from stars via email and import them. If the problems still persist then please email the hand histories and the summaries for any that have this problem to hm2support@holdemmanager.com

I believe starts use a dealt rake method unless they changed it recently, i dont think there is an easy method to work this out and right now we dont have a stat to show how much you contributed, are stars planning on changing to a contributed system?

Thanks Nilor, Can you give me some more details on the crash, Please send your log.txt file from C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager folder. (XP users will find that in C:\Documents and Settings\YourName\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager folder.)
If you have extensions turned off then it may be just called log. Please email the log, directly after you have the issue and before you restart HM2, to hm2support@holdemmanager.com along with a link to the thread or a summary of the issue you’re having or pm it if thats easier.

We have some big improvements coming in the next week for performance issues, initial testing is really promising, if you want to PM me i can try and get you an early build for testing.

I just know that Pokerstars is going to make an announcement soon about their VIP program: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28.../index639.html

Can't i make my hands look like coming from another website (like if i make a program that changes Pokerstars into something else in every hand history)?
If i do that, which website should i put instead of Pokerstars, and once i reimport all the hands, how to compare the Rake i was getting by considering the hands from Pokerstars with the Rake i get with the new website?

That was already on, i said it counts 1-9th finishes, he just doesnt count 10-18th finishes (min cashes) i dont know what is the problem, i wouldnt like to request summaries every day because of this, i would like for hem to calculate it right and not me to do some extra work because its not working ok
