Let me just explain in a bit more detail.

About 3 years ago PokerStars instituted a policy where they no longer allowed any sort of analysis software to be active while their client was open. People who breached this rule, even if by accident, received warning mails (from PokerStars). By the request of our clients we have added restrictions to Flopzilla so that, from v179 and higher, Flopzilla no longer for performs calculations while PokerStars is active. By adding these restrictions, you will now again be allowed to have Flopzilla open while PokerStars is active. However, most features will not work. This is in order to protect our users against having their account frozen when they have our software open by accident. So the PokerStars restriction is not a feature; it's there to protect you against your account being frozen when you accidentally breach their Terms and Conditions. We apply similar restrictions in all of our softwares, and so does everyone else.

This protection feature is automated and will activate automatically.
PokerStars has no issue with users having v179 or higher open when their client is active.

Re: Flopzilla

Hello,
I have a question about The Slider in The "Starting hands" section.
Why range % value is different between blue slider (A from the manual) and X% part of the slider (B from the manual).
For example when slider is close to the middle blue value shows 50.1% and black equals 50.5%.

The X% part to the right of the bar displays the % of the range that is selected in the matrix. The values below the blue and red slider buttons simply display their location on the drag bar so that people can more easily tell where they are positioned.

Re: Flopzilla

Quick question about backing up/exporting ranges. I have a lot of different ranges saved
and cuz I will be using a new computer soon do I have to manually backup every single range and then import it into the new computers flopzilla? Or is there a way to do it in bulks or even better a full backup somehow?

Preflop ranges are stored in the file newdefs2.txt.
You will find it in the same directory as Flopzilla.exe (most likely C:/program files(x86)/Flopzilla/Flopzilla).
Copying that file from the old computer to the new one should be sufficient to transfer your ranges.

Re: Flopzilla

Hi bud,

I have a newbie question.

Here it states that our QHQx have an ev of around 6.5, the pots only 4.5, so I assume this is the value of these combos if we bet and get called?

Say I bet 1.5 and Iím called the new pot is 7.5, our ev is 6.5 of this new pot size?

Also I messaged a while back regarding exporting ranges after action on flop, turn and river to flopzilla. I still do work with both and often at the same time, is there any news on this? Just an export range function is what I mean?

Thanks again for the great software!

I notice that you have posted the same question in the CREV/GTO+ thread.
I will answer it there.

Re: Flopzilla

Hello, I use Flopzilla with HoldEq. Is there any option to see range vs range equity for x number of flops (preferably imported from text files). If not is such option available in gto+ or crev? I would like just compare how certain ranges hit the different boards and compare range vs range advantage/disadvantage on different boards texture?

It's best to use GTO+ for this. Here you can create databases of different flops and see the EV performance for all flops combined. When measuring the value of a hand, it's preferable to use EV as opposed to equity. This is because EV includes the postflop playability of a hand. When estimating EV with GTO+, there's no need to make the trees overly complex. You can simply use the "Basic" tab in the tree builder with the recommended values for the given stack-to-pot ratio. So just enter "Starting pot" and "Effective stacks" and let GTO+ make the selection for you.

2 quick questions:
1) Can you copy/paste Flopzilla weighted ranges into PioSolver?
2) Can you use more then 3 weights?

1) I've just tried, and they do seem to support our format
2) Currently for preflop, we offer 5 different weights in the preflop matrix. The reason for this is that Flopzilla is an educational tool, and we consider it more important to offer a system where you're able to see what has been selected, as opposed to having infinite weights, but no visual feedback. The problem with the latter is that you will often misclick without ever realizing that you have entered a different range than you thought you did (we've tried, and this was a problem; the error of faulty analysis due to misclicks exceeded the disadvantage of fewer options, but 100% clarity). Also, it wasn't possible to see from screenshots, predef ranges or old savefiles which preflop range had been selected. Future releases will offer more extensive options for those who feel that this would not apply to them, but right at this moment this feature is not available yet.

Hmm.. it is what I am looking for, however I struggle with import/export flop function. I input name of text files which I placed in flop directory of gto+ and nothing happen (text files of subset flops has been downloaded from pio web pages). As well I am not aware how I should export file if introduced flop manually.

At one go, please let me ask another question: are we able to import/export custom tree in gto+?

This feature is intended to allow you to store the subset of flops that are currently used in a database.
By doing so, this same subset can quickly be re-used for different databases.

I assume that you mean if it's possible to rebuild a custom built tree for a different board/ranges? For this, load the tree into memory, go to "Build tree", select the tab "Rebuild" and click on "Rebuild with current settings".

Re: Flopzilla

for import/export flops is ok now, thank you.
(files which I tried to import were in slightly different format and I needed to edit them)

For the tree, I would like to be able to exchange my custom profiles with other players for comparison, like importing/exporting. I talking about "available profiles" tab. I was able to localise a files called "profiles_.pfl" in /data directory, so I assume they are stored there, right..? However I would like to be able to exchange only certain of my profiles. Is there any option to import/export them one by one?

The profiles are stored in /config/profiles.pfl. They are indeed stored together in a single file, and not individual ones, so they can not be swapped around individually. I can consider a different approach for later releases, but right at this moment this is how it works.

PIO does however recognize FZ ranges.

For GTO ranges we offer GTO+, which does import pio's format. Flopzilla is an educational tool, aimed at range and equity analysis. We can consider including pio's format in the upcoming Flopzilla update as well, however, right at this moment this is not yet available.

You can simply request a new key for Flopzilla here: www.flopzilla.com/requestkey.html
It will be sent to you within a few minutes of your request.

Should you not have received your key within 5 minutes, then please mail support with your hardware ID and we will generate your key for you manually.

Hardware ID?
To get your hardware ID, start Flopzilla and go to "register" in its menu.
Should this not be clear to you, then please watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iyz4XoHCIVE
