Yes, that is correct. And if you ever get a new computer you can just request a new key on the website: http://www.flopzilla.com/requestkey.html. Flopzilla requires a one-time registration fee. After that, all updates are included and switching computers is not a problem. People who purchased as early as 2009 are still getting free updates today.

Cheers,

Scylla, If I export to text a filtered range that includes a % of a specific hand type will the % also get exported?

Hi Tommyaces,

You need to use Ctrl+Alt+T to export the postflop filtered range (you can find these shortcuts in the menu under "Commands").
If you select the option "Include weights in range" then the % will indeed be included.

I'm sorry if this has been asked already, but is there a way to color code ranges?

This is not available at the moment.
I can add it for later versions, but right now this option is not there.

have the possibility to freeze different kind of range would be great, let's say I look at my open range and then look at a flop where I would like to see my value bet range, XR range, XC... and see the behaviour of each part of the range on the turn then make same kind of stuff.

Ok, I'll think about it.

No, I don't think I've added such an option yet. It's not technically that difficult though, so I'll see if I can take care of this for future versions.

Re: Flopzilla

is there a way to directly copy filtered ranges from flop/turn/river into HoldEq? I know I can select a street, go to range string output to get the filtered range, and then paste that into HoldEq, is there an easier way? I'm basically looking for more interoperability between HoldEq & Flopzilla.

Yes, it's possible to let HoldEq connect to Flopzilla to automatically import any range that's present in it.
For more on this, please watch the instructional video: https://youtu.be/RTKBiwffRMw

Re: Flopzilla

Thanks scy, I thought I remembered something about this from the instrucitonal video, but I forget. This is awesome software you have here.

I have an awesome suggestion!! And if you like GUI design as much as I then you may appreciate this... You ready for this?

.....*drum roll*....

Single click ability to change weights per a hand. i.e. I right click on JTs and I can select a weight for it.

How sick would that be? It feel slike it would be so much easier to assign weights to stuff.

really this idea is to get around the limitation of only 5 weights I have a mixed frequency of calling/3! so many hands, it's annoying that I only can assign 5 diff weights.

No, it's not possible to share licenses with other people.
Licenses are strictly for personal use.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0_9ZZa22pM 8:58 - 10:48

1.) Can someone please explain this to me, I have watched it 4 times now and still can't wrap my head around it, even though I've wrote it down on my paper. I don't know if I'm experiencing some kind of a brain fart or just need someone to explain it in a different way.

''How often he misses to the betsize that we would make, if he is missing enough of the time, given the breakeven point of our betsize, we can make a profitable bluff and pick it up. FULL POT 50% BE, 2/3 39% BE, 1/2 POT 33% BE''

Just hearing this makes my head hurt, and where does he pull those BE numbers from?

2.) Next thing - the calculation of fold %.. FOLD % = MISS % - FIGHT %

How do I make a decision from this on HUD stats, if we say our opp fold to cbet 55%? When are we making profitable cbet, based on flopzilla and range?

I do feel like I'm making rhetorical questions here, but I don't understand my own rhetorical questions. I think I need an example or two, so please if someone helps me I would appreciate it.

3.) 14.45 - How does he again comes to the conclusion, that if opponent is missing the turn 40%, a 1/2 pot size bet (dub?) is making an outright profit?

You're referring to a video here made by a third party.
I can't really answer questions about someone else's videos.

basic poker math:

P=Pot for the example;
for a pot size bet you risk P to win P+P --> so risk/reward=P/2P --> 50%
for a 1/2 pot size bet --> =0,5P/1,5P -->33%
etc etc...

in flopzilla if you have villain that hit let's say 48% on the flop (by selecting second pair + and draws), he will fold 100%-48%=52% so if you cbet 50% of the pot it needs to work 33% to be profitable and vilain fold far more w/52%

Re: Flopzilla

Hi,

I'm having an issue importing a range into FZ from a friend through Skype. I've tried all possible combinations of selecting different parts of the text box and pasting them and I'm getting an error no matter what I try. Here's a screenshot of what I'm doing:

Thx.

Could both you and your friend update to v183 and try again? Other than that, please make sure that the way in which your friend sends you the text block does not alter its contents. For example, if the block is stored in Microsoft Word then all kinds of hidden characters will be added. Also, please try sharing via a savefile instead (save with "File->Save as ...").

Re: Flopzilla

I stupidly forgot to make a recent backup my flopzilla ranges and the only back up file I have is from v1.6.3.

Everytime I try to import the text block into the latest version I get:
Failed to read input field.

It shows a name of one of the categories I made but there are no ranges along with it.

Is there any way to get those ranges imported?

Thanks

It sounds like the text block was stored in a manner that altered its contents. The text block only works if it's exactly how it was provided as output. Do you perhaps have any remaining files? Your ranges are stored in the file newdefs.txt, but backups are also stored in the directory /undo. Copying the newdefs.txt file to Flopzilla's directory should restore your ranges.
