Yes, that should not be a problem.

No stickies on this thread.. I have had this program going on 6 months now.
Possibly it is just me but it does not seem very intuitive.. I open it up every so often and press buttons but the information I am getting out of it are not providing me with any Ah ha type stuff. Can anyone point me to a good resource on how to get the most out of it ? The videos that come with it do not seem to help much. Also for the frugal folks.. Is there a discount on CardRunners EV if you have purchased Flopzilla ?

First of all, I'm not sure if you have watched all of the videos, but at the very least you watch the one on HoldEq: http://www.flopzilla.com/video.html. It's the third video on the list. Flopzilla has a lot of bonus material and it sounds like possibly you haven't run across all of it yet.

Other than that, a good place to start might be YouTube. If you just search for Flopzilla then you should get plenty of example material.

And no, no such discount exists.

Cheers,

Scylla

scylla,
I have noticed when I am filtering for value hands and draws some of the draws
such as flush draws can be included in other types of draws such as over cards. I guess what I'm saying is that I may have 6 combos of FD and 48 combos of Overs but some of the overs are FDs. The total combo number is always correct but the individual number of combos is double counted. I suppose that is the way it make most sense but I find it hard to get an accurate number of say FDs and over cards without manually subtracting the duplicates.

If you mouse over a statistic's bar then it will show you its overlap with other statistics (see video below).

And if you enlarge the software's window vertically it will show you a matrix with all overlaps. If you mouse over any entry in the matrix, for example flushdraw+OESD then the starting hand matrix will show this overlap in purple. For a demonstration of this, as well as the overlap mentioned above, see the video "The overlap matrix" here http://www.flopzilla.com/video.html.

Finally, in most cases in the "Statistics" section, below the made hands and draws combo-draws are displayed as a third section.

And if you want to know, for example, how many bare many bare flushdraws there are, then you can also use the delete filters:

Code:

Off the top of my head, this is what is offered when it comes to overlaps.

Thanks,
I was wondering what that table was representing.
I don't understand the purpose of the code.

It's a savefile in the form of a text block.
You can import it into Flopzilla by pressing Ctrl+I and copy-pasting it in the input field.

Hello,
When you right click in stats say on Top Pair and the filter screen comes up is there a way within that screen to filter for suits? I have tried a work around selecting suits before but it throws my % off.
Also what is the difference between A B C filters which should I use to filter out
hands

You can filter for suits that are relevant to the board. So, for example, in the pic below, you can mouse over "flushdraw". This will show you all the flushdraw hands. If you now right-click, this will fix the popup, after which you can apply custom filters to individual hands. This can be done by clicking the 'a', 'b' and 'c' buttons (in the lower left) and then selecting the hands to which you want to apply a custom filter.

It's also possible, after right-clicking "flushdraw", to mouse over another stat. In the screenshot "middle pair" is moused over. The matrix will now show you which of the flushdraw hands are also "middle pair" by highlighting them in black. If you now press 'a', 'b' or 'c', then the appropriate filter will be applied to all of the overlapping hands. This is also demonstrated in "Video 2: The filter system": http://www.flopzilla.com/video.html

In some cases you may also want to filter for 1 card backdoor flushdraws. This will be available in the list if you turn ON "Settings->Include 1 crd backdoor flushdraws in statistics".

Skylla, Sorry to be obtuse. Suppose I wanted to filter BDFD on a rainbow flop for only one suit. I don't seem to be able use the suit selection boxes from with in that window.
Also the A B C filters in the filter matrix what is the difference between empty filter, C and Delete, B.

Ok, that's a fairly subtle difference there. I can look into that for future versions. In regards to the A, B and C filters, they are the same as the general filter symbols that can be applied to a statistic:

A: Filter. Instructs the software that a hand should pass through the filters

B: No filter. Same as not putting any filter in front of a statistic. So there's no specific instruction that a hand should pass through the filters. However, another stat may still instruct this hand to be let through.

C: Delete filter. If a hand has a delete symbol attached to it, it will be forbidden from passing through the filter, no matter what any other stat says.

Another anomaly is when using the back arrow moving back to the flop from the river the number of combos on the flop seem to be reduced due to card removal which throws the original number of combos off.

This is intentional. If you have entered a turn and go back to the flop, the turn card is assumed to be dead. So this will indeed affect the combos.

Maybe a stupid question but I could not find this.

How do you select specific suited cards for a range? (like AhKh for example)
I thought this could be done with Weight, but I cant select specific combos

For this, please watch "Bonus video 1: Suit selection": http://www.flopzilla.com/video.html

Another way is to click on the "range" button (above the starting hand matrix, to the left of "Starting hand") and enter AhKh.

This will happen when the original installer file is no longer present on your computer.
Here is a link to the v175 installer: https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/c...nstallv175.msi

Scylla, Ever consider a flopzilla player that an online forum could host to allow users to post flopzilla files in a quickly readable way instead of posting binaries. The player would not have to have any functionality other that to move thru the hand .

I think that the current system of exporting a savefile with "Save/Load->Export savefile as forum/e-mail text block" is pretty sufficient here. It should allow communication in any forum (as long as it's placed between [ code ] and [ / code ] identifiers). It may not be worth the effort to set up a separate forum for this purpose.
