What dates ? PC dates ? I haven't changed anything. Only the computer itself maybe used internet automatic update time.

Very frustrating to not have this software for weeks over basically a clerical error.

Sorry about that, but there's really nothing I can do.
I'll turn on the option to extend the trial next time.

Is flopzilla free or a trial ? or free with stox ev ?

I had thought it was free until it stopped working. Maye you could put it in a tab on stox EV so at least your high rolling Stoxev buyers can use it all the time.

thanks for great software BTW. It's just disappointing when I can't use it.

I'm updating Flopzilla monday and this time I'll add the option to restore the trial if "fraud" has been detected.

My intent is to do this with:

- no submenus

Adding all kinds of options for additional turn and river play would unfortunately interfere with this purpose. Every new option means (a) new button(s), making the program a little harder to use every time I add something. Focussing the program on turn and river has also got consirably less value than the value of knowing how ranges hit flops, since the flop play gets in the way.

With the exception of fixing possible bugs or some out-of-the-box suggestion for strongly improving the program, it is not my intent to develop the program any further since the increase of content would decreas the four more important goals above.
Omg, can we plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz have turns and river cards.

And if you say no. then im gonna start a petition!

Turn and rivercards are already possible.
I'm just saying I'm not going to add all sorts of options in dealing with them since it would clutter the interface.

the latest (commercial, 7 day trial) flopzilla crashes when I start it.

"Flopzilla MFC Application has encountered a problem and needs to close..."

Pfff, works fine here.
But I made a number of changes in the inner and outer workings of the programs recently that may be the cause of this.

Let's see if we can narrow it down a bit.

Do you get the standard starting message "you have X days left on your license"?

If so, after that, does the screen appear and if so, is the screen drawn or is it blank?

The standard directory is C:/Program files/Flopzilla/Flopzilla

Can you start it manually from there (as admin)?
Does rebooting help?
Anything unusual about the limit.txt, nolimit.txt or predefs.txt files?

No screen. The next thing is the MFC error message popup.

I haven't tweaked any of the files. I'll try rebooting and manually starting from the directory and report back.

Ok, let me know.
If not I'll release a second version with slightly different encryption and such and we'll give it another go.

rebooted, no improvement.

reinstalled, no improvement (see screenshot).

I'm running XP and my main login has admin privileges. Flopzilla always worked fine before -- I (use to) use it regularly!

EDIT: as the screencap shows, I ran it from the flopzilla directory this time.

As mentioned before, I get the "you have 7 days" popup before this error. No flopzilla windows ever appear.

I'll create and release a secondary version with some different encryption settings for you tomorrow, the problem is probably to be found there.
I'll PM you (or mail you if you wish, just PM me your e-mail) when it's up.

I've got two other reports about this problem so far (including funkyj's).
Trying to figure out what's going on.
My best guess is it has to do with the new registration system I've included, since everything worked fine before.
I'll release a new version with this feature removed completely today and we'll see if that solves it.

Do you also happen to use Windows XP?

Well it's starting to look like that's the cause somehow.
I'll send an e-mail to the encryption company, see if they have any idea which feature is causing this.

If said encryption company wants me to experiment, tell'em I said to "bring it on". I'll install/run some toy programs.

Up until now they've always proven to be very capable.
I'm sure the whole problem will be sorted out in a couple of days.
