However, you may just as well just look at the villains's ranges separately in Flopzilla.
The card removal effect is really small anyhow.

As you can see, leaving out the third player in Flopzilla barely changes the percentages.

Ty for your answer, however, I don't have CREV, can I simulate this spot in the trial version?

Yes, the tree I posted should work fine for that.

First off thanks for the great tool, Flopzilla is excellent.

One thing I was thinking would be nice though is if you could zoom in and out. Like the same you can do on a browser when you hold down ctrl and use the scroll wheel on the mouse. Thanks.

Hello,

I would like to ask if there is any way of selecting a range of turn cards. For instance, I pick my hand, I pick opponent's range, I pick the flop and now I would like to know what will be my equity if the turn is either a 8, 9, T or J

Thanks

Well, you can get the equity for each turn card with the hotness tool.
To get the equity for each card, just mouse over it in the hotness tool's matrix.

For more on the hotness tool, please see the last video on this page: http://www.flopzilla.com/video.html

However, it's not possible to select a range of turn cards. This cán be done with CardRunnersEV, but not Flopzilla.

who knows has somebody put this in, so I'm just gonna post in here Scylla;
when filling in colors for cards under the combos square and so for example we want only cards that we have flushdraw with on for instance board of AQJhh and so we apply only hearts (with the filter on the bottom), we get a range that we might copy in clipboard, by clicking the 'range' button.
And so after we get this it turns out that some of the cards never show up in there, they don't. And so if we've wanted to copy this whole range ( with flushdraws and all), flopzilla shows only a few cards marked like this KhJh , it cuts the whole rest of the range off.
In other words, after filtering only one suite of the range, it never copies it to the clipboard, and only shows a bit of the range with suits and cutting the rest off.

So when my whole range is this AQo,AQs,88,7h6h,4h3h, in the cliboard 'range' button it shows 88,AQo,AQs or this AQo,AQs,88,7h6h (it cuts it). I would be really glad if that could be fixed with the newest version. if need some more info please definately pm me

when trying to put a range with something like 7h6h it gives a reply message as well;
Failed to import the following component 7h6h, screens:

when trying to export the range

when trying to import the range

Ok, thank you for pointing that out.
I've fixed this for the next release, which should be in about 2 weeks.

Importing ranges with suits is not possible at the moment. This is because for almost any practical range that you'd import from (let's say CardRunnersEV) it's really hard to figure out a way to translate the range into something that fits into the matrix+suit boxes. I realize that there's some exceptions, like here where all hands with suits are suited hearts, but for most practical ranges it's quite a puzzle. I will be adding a workaround in future versions, but, indeed, right now, this can not be done.

scylla, i have just broken down a hand in the most dept i ever have. i want to save it, i read the online manual but i simply want to make sure through u. how and where do i save it to?? here is the screen shot, i have filtered the turn specifically and i want to approach the river later. i clicked "save as" and then saved it to my desktop home screen, the icon is all white. I am afraid to open that file as i do not want to potentially lose my progress, I am going to let FZ remain open for the time being

Hello Scylla love the program was just curious to compare some stats on TP vs TP for range vs hand (how often it happens) ? eg. A3dd vs A6o-AQo on a A92r flop kinda thing.

Then maybe flush over flush / set over set kinda stuff - is that possible using this please ?

Hi,

There's two ways to save a file in Flopzilla.

The first is indeed by using "Save/Load->Save".

The second is by going to "Save/Load->Export save file as forum/e-mail text block". Be sure to save it with a program that doesn't alter it though. Usually mailing it to yourself should work fine. Or by using Notepad. A program like Word on the other hand might alter the format of the text block, which would damage it.

Anyhow, it should be fairly easy to test your savefile. Just start another instance of Flopzilla and try to load your savefile.

If somehow you've lost your file though, that still shouldn't be a problem. Whenever you make a change a savefile is stored in the /undo directory. It's still possible to retrieve it from that. So, let me know if that's the case.

Well, that's just the percentage for the "top pair" stat.

Same thing.
Just look at the percentage for flush/set.

If you also want to know how often each player is best, then mouse over the stat. It will now only filter for that stat. Now look in the lower right for "Range is best", "Hand is best" and "Same hand".

I might be missing something but shouldn't the total combo's for J10o be 8 instead of 6 since two tens are remaining in the deck so it would be 4JX2T=8 combos?

No, because 2 of the combos you're including (JdTd and JsTs) are suited.

I have a thread up about this now and some 2p2 members have provided me with some great information. I'm currently trying out all of the different equity calculators and software out there on the market right now and seeing which ones are best for me. Could someone please either tell me, or direct me to information about, what Flopzilla does that would make it still pertinent to me if I had PokerRanger and Equilab and was getting proficient with both. Would Flopzilla still provide some benefits to me?

Thanks in advance. Just trying to see what software fills what roles, you know?

Hi NutFlush69,

From the thread you're referring to I get the impression that you're just getting started in poker and don't really know what's up or down, left or right yet. I think the best thing for you to do is to start out by reading some books on the subject and learn how to do math by hand (with pen, paper, a regular calculator and a free equity calculator). Before you're in control of the math, there's not much point in looking at calculators. Please understand that it's a common misconception that a calculator will teach you math and how to do analysis; it won't and it really shouldn't be your starting point.

After you feel you understand the math behind poker and want to look at calculators, all you need to do is ask yourself "what kind of problems do I want to solve?". After you've made a list of those kinds of questions, look which calculator(s) will help you solve those problems. Frankly, at the point you're in now, there's really no point in buying a tool, given that it sounds like you don't know yet which job you're trying to get done.

Finally, don't buy software you don't understand in the hopes that you'll "grow into it". Your learning curve is helped significantly if you just stick with a program you understand.

Cheers,

Scylla

Well, I've been playing and studying for three months now. So yes, I'm very much a beginner, as I've emphasized. I'd still like to think that at this point, though, I have a little bit of an idea as to at least what direction is what I'm definitely not Phil Ivey material yet but I seem to be doing well for a beginner and I'm really enjoying digging into some of the more advanced concepts for this stage in my career.

That said, my goal isn't necessarily to become a math wizard. I want to use the calculators like pretty much everyone else does: As a means of identifying how certain hands and ranges hit certain boards and board textures. My question was where would Flopzilla help someone who is already using PokerRanger and Equilab. Would it, or are the features that Flopzilla offeres generally contained within those two other programs at this point?

Thanks again!
