Any idea whether you could include the pokerstove-like feature of selecting what combos you want for a hand for a future flopzilla version?
I try to prevent adding too many features, since, even if they are useful, in the end they will clutter the interface.

To achieve your goal you can simply not filter for flushdraws and add a custom filter to dó filter for 65s. It should do the trick.

It takes ages to load Flopzilla today. From the moment the update check window closes till Flopzilla actually starts takes at least 60 seconds.
Tried it on another computer as well.

Maybe it tries to connect to a server which is down and times-out after 60 seconds? Can't imagine it has anything to do with my PC, or the other PC I tried.

This is a known conflict with Kaspersky, but possibly also with some other virus scanner you may have.
The reason for this is that it takes ages to analyse the program's processes.
However ... this should not be done the second/third/etc time you run the program again.
Due to a setting you're using however, your scanner performs this check every single time you run it.
You'll need to disable it.

I've contacted Kaspersky about this.
Go here for the instructions they gave: http://www.cardrunners-ev-calculator.com/Kaspersky.html

Should you have another virus scanner, please try disabling it for Flopzilla's installation directory and see if it makes a difference. You may need to restart your computer, depending on your system.

Edit: No wait .... it ís taking ages .... but why?
Let me see if I can figure this out.

Update: *^*&*^%%^&!!! I think I'll just post an update. Be back in an hour.

Quick reply, sir.
I'm not using a virus scanner at all (PM me all your crazy viruses people), so yeh that wasn't it.
I'm glad you notice the slowness as well, hopefully you'll be able to locate the problem. Thanks in advance.

Ok, the new version is up!
Flopzilla should detect the new version upon startup.
Should this not be the case, please go here for download:
http://www.cardrunners-ev-calculator...Flopzilla.html

Should resolve the issue with v1.4.8.

Yep, the update went fine for me and Flopzilla now loads quickly again.
Thanks for your quick support, I appreciate devs that support their product. It makes paying for the software, and thus supporting the dev, feel great.

Is there any way of seeing all hands that pass through a filter and all hands that are blocked by it?

If not, why not have hovering over the filter button show all hands that pass through it and right clicking the filter button shows all hands blocked by it?

If you just remove your mouse pointer from the stat then all hands that villain holds at that point are shown. So it's just those hands minus the ones that pass through the filter.
From a technical point of view I don't mind adding this feature or just about any other feature, however the problem that I run into is that I risk clotting the software with features so that it's impossible for users to keep track of them. I have to make choices in what to add and what to leave out. I'm afraid I can't let this make the cut.

Cheers,

Scylla

I really think its more important than you think.

If I apply a flop filter, I still see all of the hands that arrived before the filter was switched on.

Now when it comes to the turn, Im still seeing hands that arent supposed to be there.

When was the last time you heard of a filter that "visually" dosent filter anything?

When you start working on the turn, its really really confusing to not be able to see which hands have been filtered out and which havent.

Maybe make the ones that have been filtered out grey or something?

Another possible way of doing this would be to allow "delete mode" to remove hands from the grid when the filter is switched on.

Greying out might actually work.
I'm currently busy with some other things, but I'll see what I can do.

hello scylla

bought the software and like it very much
i have some suggestions for a functionality that could be useful

lets see with an example

so here on the flop we have a flush draw and a gutshot
while it seems obvious that a diamond or a jack will increase our hand's equity

it could be interesting to show right on the flop which cards improve and which dont (same for turn)

hope this helps you make of flopzilla a better software

hi Scylla

the filters seem very useful. now when the flop filters are on, you can see what ranged continued on the turn. However you see it only in the statistics column.
The whole preflop range remains fully visible when the filters are on. Is there a way to hide also the cards from the preflop range which are filtered out? or at least to dim them visually?
