I've just uninstalled and reïnstalled and it works correctly over here.
Possibly you have a firewall blocking gaming-related sites?

I know you are against adding things that don't add enough value or clutter the interface, but I have a couple suggestions that I think could meet your criteria. Maybe they are mentioned already, but I scanned the thread and didn't notice them.

Suggestion 1:
add the ability to copy a poker stove compatible description of the selected range to the clipboard. It would be useful to be able to select the whole range, or just a part of it. I think this could be done with either a textbox below the range on the left, or maybe with a right click or something similar over the hand categories on the right. Or maybe some combination of the two?

Suggestion 2:
Add a way to refine handranges so that you can specify suitedness. Maybe do it in a similar way to poker stove with an advanced view of the hand range available with a single button, or maybe add a right click on a hand or hand groupings to bring up the advanced suit settings for that hand/group. I know that this is more useful for turn analysis and this is flopzilla, but I can see reasons why it is useful and I think it's unobtrusive.

I hope my ideas are clear.

Thanks for Flopzilla.

That's already possible, just click the "excel" button.
One of the fields contains the range's name.

If I had to choose, I'd go for a flushdraw-filter over suit buttons any day. It's just way less micro-management. I might go for something like that one of these days.

All this time I never clicked it because I don't have excel. Thanks for the tip.

No, but that's really odd.
I've released an update about two days ago and discontinued previous versions; the reason you're getting this error is because your version has been discontinued.
However, this file shouldn't even run anymore.
When you start up you should automatically update to the new version.
Is this for some reason not happening for you?

Could you tell me the contents of the "currentversion.txt" file please?

And when you run Flopzilla.exe it does not auto-update to a new version?

Yeah exactly, when you run the main program directly it will not update but will simply give false output. You need to run Flopzilla.exe which is the startup program that handles all the updates. I didn't figure people would be using shortcuts (at least if I correctly understand what you mean by shortcuts) so I never bothered to show an actual message that the version was discontinued.

I don't understand something here why the range hit 85.6% if he have nothing 38.7%

The statistics section is divided into 3 sub-sections:
- made hands
- draws
- combo-draws

If villain has "nothing" 38.7% of the time, this only applies to the made-hands section. He may still have flushdraws, oesd, etc.

You mean the stat at the bottom "Range has hit ..."?

Well here's a little high school math.

We have two players, player A and player B.
Both their ranges have hit X% of the time.

The situations you're looking for are:
- Player A has hit but Player B has not
- Player B has hit but Player A has not
- Player A and B have both hit

However, there's only one situation left, which is that neither player has hit.
This will occur (100%-X)*(100%-X).
So one of the other situations will occur 100%-(100%-X)*(100%-X).

For example, if one player has hit 74% of the time, then two players will hit 1-(1-.74)*(1-.74)=.9324 or in other words 93% of the time.

Thanks.

By the way, by referring to your explanation as 'high school math' you weren't implying that I should know this already, were you?

I hope not, because a mathematician with a chip on his shoulder is typically a very miserable individual...

I wasn't actually.
My first reaction to your question was that it wasn't possible to do it, until I realized that I had been teaching how to solve that problem to high school kids for several years when I was a student.
But for some reason when theory met reality it took me longer then I'd like to connect the dots.

Hello everyone,

As you may notice I am currently not logged in under my usual name. My ban is at my own request. I am currently unable to access both stoxpoker_ev@hotmail.com and my 2p2 account so felt some prudence was in order. I have placed a message on the website www.cardrunners-ev-calculator.com requesting people not to contact the old e-mail adres anymore, and if sollicited by it, ignore it.
I have also released updates of both CREV and Flopzilla stating such a message at startup.
I'm working hard on getting this matter resolved and greatly appreciate everyone's patience.
For support, from now on, please mail support@cardrunners-ev-calculator.com.

Sincerely,

Scylla

The situation appears pretty much resolved. I've had my password reset and the account has been back under my control for a while now. From what I can tell, not much has happened. I'm currently doing what I can to prevent future incidents. Amongst other things, just to be sure, I'll be voiding the account. Too bad though, I always liked having a stoxpoker relic in the mix. Well ... better safe than sorry.

Hi Scylla thanks for the great software!

I have one feature request though...

That it would be possible to import/export the range as text s in pokerstove (For example, AKo,AKs,JJ+). Like it works now in CardrunnersEV. I understand it might be difficult with the weighted ranges but I', sure there is a clever way around this...

Thanks!

Hey Scylla,

Been away from poker and the forums for a bit. Just got the reg keys from you for putting the softwares on my new computer.

I love the upgrades on the software with the multiple weights and equity of dead cards vs the range and more.

I have one suggestion that may not be hard to implement. Right now the "equity of two dead cards vs. the range" only works when there are 3 board cards. IOW only for the flop. It could be fun if that worked when 4 board cards are present too to see how equities change on different turn cards by just adding another board card.

Thanks for the great software and support.

It's definitely the plan to expand both that feature and others.
I just decided to start out with preflop and flop.
I'll add more stuff later.
