New beta for Flopzilla: Multiple weights

Hi guys,

By popular request I've added a maximum of three weights to Flopzilla (previously it was just one).

Download
For the beta, go here: www.stoxev.com/flopzilla/flopzillabeta.msi

Registering the beta
This beta is only available to people who have already registered or who have never had their trial period.
To register the beta, please copy the regkey.dat file from the installation directory c:/program files/flopzilla/flopzilla to the beta's directory c:/program files/flopzilla/flopzillabeta

Of course you should also be able to use your registration key.

Internet connection
This beta requires an internet connection or it won't run. If it doesn't start, please check your firewall.

The process
If you happen to run across a bug in the new weights system, please e-mail me at stoxpoker_ev@hotmail.com. Or make a post in this thread.
Same if you have a suggestion.

Re: New Software: Flopzilla! (flop texture analysis)

hey,

i didn't read the whole thread so i'm sorry if this was answered already: is there any possibility to weigh different hands with different weights?

e.g. i wanna have the following weights in one range:

AA -> 100%
KQs -> 75%
AJs -> 55%

As i understand the program i only apply one weight to both KQs and AJs. Anyway to solve this problem?

There's a new beta that can do this.
Please see post 252.

Well, it's a beta after all.
I figured 3 would be just about the most that would make any pratical sense; I could add 10, but your brain (mine at least) really can't process that much detail anyhow.
Also, in the current way the interface is set up, you need to click through all the possible weights. I figured more than 3 would really get annoying.

Hi guys,

Sorry for bumping my own thread, but I just realized that a link to the new beta should probably be the last post.

Hi!

Maybe you remember my last question in the wrong forum, if Flopzilla can also analyze Turn + River?

Your answer was:

In Flopzilla I've chosen to go for ease of use at the cost of complexity.

No it can show combos. If you move your mouse over a stat the number of combos will be displayed in the popup.

For what it's worth, Flopzilla has its own thread:
https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/16...alysis-390299/

But are you rly not planning to include someday a turn-and riveranalyzepossibilty?

I mean,
especially regards to more experience players: The most mistakes are made on the turn + river -> hence it is very interesting to analyze these 2 streets.

You could call ten your tool just Flopzilla+, or something.

I rly think that this is a leak -> Pre-and Flopplay is only very interesting for more beginners, who are not your targetgroup I guess.

Best regards,
Zrebna

You can select 3, 4 or 5-card boards. So yeah, it can analyse any street.

I wouldn't go so far as to say Flopzilla is aimed at beginners, however StoxEV is the tool that is aimed at advanced players. With StoxEV you can filter to your hearts content. Flopzilla is just aimed at the flop and tries to make that process as easy to use as possible. If I were to add all sorts of complex filters it would defeat the whole purpose of Flopzilla.

All right^^

But is the comment of "Hood" correct?
If yes,
it would be able to analyze all streets correctly?

You can just download it and try it yourself?

certainly in my version, i can select 4 and 5-card boards and it breaks down the range correctly.

No, I cannot b/c I have already downloaded it, but the trial is passed.

reason: I found one day after downloading it (before trying flopzilla) stoxcombo - it was for free, so I used this.
But now I have Win7 -> it does not work.

Hence i have to immidiatelly buy flopzilla and wanna know what i buy there.

I'm just saying I'm not going to add all sorts of options in dealing with them since it would clutter the interface.

ask for a new trail period. I'm sure scylla will give you one if it is technically easy.

Hi!

Is there any possibility to select for Villain`s range special suitednesses?

For example instead of AKs, only AhKh?

No, Flopzilla is aimed mainly at flop analysis.
I could add all sorts of bells and whistles, but it would considerably complicate both the easy of use and the ease of "readability" of the interface.
The whole point of Flopzilla is that it gives you easy input, fast results and output that is easy to interpret.

Re: New Software: Flopzilla! (flop texture analysis)

Only wanna mention that it is also regards the flop-analysis sometimes unfortunatelly a real problem that you cannot set up suits..

I guess this is possible with StoxEV?
If yes, I guess it takes a long time to analyse the turn b/c you have to set up everything happened before...?

Once again, Flopzilla is mainly aimed at how a range hits the flop.
Since preflop you don't distinguish between suits adding suits to the interface wouldn't add anything and would complicate the interface.
And yes, it's possible with StoxEV; whether it would take a "long time" is sort of subjective.

Re: New Software: Flopzilla! (flop texture analysis)

Hello,
Congrats, very nice software
I have a small suggestion:

It would be very useful if you add a button 'Clear' next to each of the Statistics (top pair, ace high, nothing, etc)
It will clear this part of the selected range on the left

this way you can easily do fast turn and river analysis:
for instance you select 50% of the hands for preflop range, then you see which hands hit the flop and you can clear the hands which are nothing and ace high and continue for the turn by selecting another card on the board

I know that there are more complicated programs which can do complex turn and river analysis, however sometimes you just need to do a fast review of hand ranges by several fast clicks and this would be very convenient

Edit: Infact there is even easier solution: just one button somewhere on the screen which will clear the part of the range which is not selected with red check in front of it in the Statistics (i.e to clear the 'not hit' cards)

Wow, this was the exact same thing i was going to request!
Also, a button to copy a snapshot of the program to the clipboard would be convenient for quick posting on forums and such.

Re: Flopzilla!!! Flop texture analysis

As far as I undestood Flopzilla was rebranded and now is called CardrunnersEV (is this correct ?).

At least I downloaded and installed CardrunnersEV and it's completly different in terms of layout. If so then all the video + explanations in this post are not as usefull, unless we have the old Flozilla.

Is there any way of getting the old one ?

This is not correct.

CardRunnersEV and Flopzilla are two completely different pieces of software.
Fwiw, CardRunnersEV let's you enter a decision tree and then works out the EV of every decision.

For Flopzilla, go here:

Re: Flopzilla!!! Flop texture analysis

I can't DL the program installation file, even right click/saving as or using multiple browsers. Most of the time the download finishes instantaneously, but on one occasion I got the installer to download to where it looked fine, but there was a problem with the installer when I tried to install. I have tried like 20 times
