Re: Flopzilla

does flopliza properly take into account that pocket pairs don't happen as much as unpocket pairs in a range? for example if I put someone on a tight range in the co as 88+, ATs+, AJo+, KJs+, QJs, KQo, would flopliza factor in that pocket pairs do not happen in the same frequency as unpaired cards, or should I put a weight, say 50% on pocket pairs to compensate for the lack of pocket pairs compared to unpaired hands? thanks

Yes, all of that is included in the calculations.

Re: Flopzilla

Yes, it indeed refers to the number of holecards.
For example, if the flop is T98, then AJ will make a one card OESD.
And on a T92 flop, QJ will make a two card OESD.

Please tell me, еhere is no such feature: to display the distribution of each color in a group as a percentage?

Ok, I will consider adding it for future releases.

Re: Flopzilla

Hi scylla - very generic question from a new user. I've picked up GTO+ and flopzilla pro and I'm just getting to grips with them. I used flopzilla many years ago, software seems to have come a long way and looks great . I had a question about getting started with constructing basic pre-flop open and call ranges:

Are there any places where you can download plug and play starting ranges? Or do people tend to take the charts they work with (or started with), enter those and then tweak them to suit their own play-style and V's play-style? I'm happy to put in the work myself if that's how it is but just seeing if there's a way to get a head start.

There isn't really such a thing as plug and play starting ranges. Everyone's games are different, and the game tends to change over time. So any ranges that would work today may no longer be applicable at a later point in time. And ranges that work for one person will probably not work for someone else. So I would really recommend creating your own ranges. They may not be perfect, but at least they will be specific to your situation.

First of all, my apologies for my late response.
I did not receive a notification of this post, so I only just noticed it.

Please try turning OFF "With only 2 bets left, get the money in smoothly".
With this option, when the stack-to-pot ratio becomes low, the tree builder will take over and get the money in with two geometrically sized bets.

Re: Flopzilla

Hello.

Just a couple of request or minor improvements:

When in multiplayer mode (that's basically always for me) there should be something, a little title above the grid or something, that indicates which of the ranges is being shown in the grid. It has happened to me that I have wasted some precious minutes having to redo the work because at some point i mixed up ranges.

Secondly, is it possible to add custom hand rankings? I haven't found the option. If it is not possible, then an option for that should be added.

That's it for now. TY.

Ok, I will consider it for future releases.

The rankings are stored in /config/prefloprankings.txt
See below for what the default file looks like.

You can igore line 1.
Line 2 shows the number of rankings (so if you want to add a ranking, you will need to increase this value).
Below that are the names of the rankings (as displayed in the dropdown).
And below that are the rankings themselves.

It's also possible to edit the rankings to change their order.

CREV uses the same rankings system.
In its case the rankings are stored in preflopranges.txt.
If you like, its interface has an editor that you can use.
The editor also works in trial mode, so it's available to everyone.

Nice.

Another thing. How would you do in order to work with three ranges for the same oponent: raise, call, and fold (with weights).

So far I didn't find a way to do that without using two player grids. What I do is creating a raising range in the first grid, then filtering, inverting and exporting the range into a new player grid, where I can select opponent's calling and folding range. Then in order to get the correct frequency of the three actions I "normalize" the percentages (basically multiply the % in the second grid by the % of the non-raising range from the first grid, so the % of the second grid "fit" into the non raising part of the first grid, that way I believe I get the correct frequencies for each action).

Is there other way? Maybe it would involve a second filter on the flop?

It may be far more convenient to use GTO+ for this. If you're intending to simulate decision trees, then it's probably easier to work with software that's based on this principle. If you like, in case you want to take a closer look, then you can export any spot in GTO+ to FlopzillaPro. For a demonstration video on this go here: https://youtu.be/YuRsCQajRBA

Don't want to simulate a whole tree. I just want to know my fold equity, equity vs a calling range, and equity vs a raising range.
