Does anyone use HoldEQ? Is there any tricks to get it to connect to Flopzilla? It says "mouse over" to connect but when I do that it doesn't connect. It works sometimes but not usually.

I think running as admin might be the trick.

First of all, please make sure that you have the latest version of the software.
It can be downloaded here: www.flopzilla.com/download.html
And here: www.holdeq.com

Other than that, try running directly from Flopzilla.
To do this, go to "HoldEq->Start HoldEq" in its menu.

And indeed, on some systems it can be important to run as admin.
So please run both Flopzilla and HoldEq as admin.
When starting Flopzilla through Flopzilla.exe this should always already be the case though.

Should you never reboot your system, then please try doing so.
In some cases never rebooting can interfere with HoldEq's timer.

If the issue persists, then try uninstalling and reinstalling to a different directory.
This will ensure a fresh reinstall.

Finally, please set an exception in your virus scanner, just in case it's interfering with the software.

New functionality Idea:

An opening range tester. For example a way to randomly select a hand from a group of possible hands and then have the ranges that include that hand highlighted on the left or listed somewhere else.

For example I would create all my own ranges and name them whatever I want, so you could have opening ranges from EP, MP, CO, BTN etc. or opening ranges for certain stack sizes or whatever ranges you want, and then if a hand is selected then the ranges which include that hand are highlighted so you can quickly see which ranges that hand is included in without having to search through each range in case you're not sure. Then you can test yourself quickly with one click of a button instead of many more clicks like I'm doing right now.

Ok, I will consider it for later releases.

Hi Scylla,

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before but I have an idea/request for a future update to Flopzilla

Add a textbox/notepad underneath the Suit Selection area to jot down any additional info about the range.

Be nice to have a hover over feature where you hover over the filter somewhere to see which hands are going to be folding if the filter is enabled.

I find myself constantly turning the filter on and off to visualize which hands folded but if it could highlight which hands are folding according to your filter that'd be nice. Unless there's already this function that I'm not aware of.

I assume that you mean that you want to export your ranges to GTO+? Your Flopzilla ranges are stored in the file newdefs2.txt. This file can be found in Flopzilla's installation directory, which most likely will be C:/program files(x86)/Flopzilla/Flopzilla.

To transfer your ranges to GTO+, copy this file to GTO+'s installation directory (C:/program files/GTO).

And now:
1) Start GTO+
2) Go to "Settings->Import preflop ranges" in its menu
3) Select the option newdefs2.txt
4) Click on "IMPORT RANGES"

No, I dont even know what is GTO+, had to google . I would like to use my flopzilla ranges in Piosolver but it only uses txt files.
I found a way to export my flopzilla ranges manully by this:
https://gyazo.com/c723f5645229dba118aadbb242bfc6b3

but it would take a lot of time export all of them like this. is there any way to make it faster?

We don't offer any automated method for this. We do for GTO+, but this is for the reason that this software is under our control. The problem with investing development time in exporting/importing to/from a third party product is that format changes in either product will make such features deteriorate over time. It will work great in the first 6 months or so, but over a period of about 5 years, with all sorts of updates being released, and possibly products evolving in different directions, it's my experience that these sorts of features always lead to issues in the long run.

Hi,

GTO+ can be found here: www.gtoplus.com
Should the 64bit version not work for you on CrossOver, then please try the 32bit version.

In order to comply with the PokerStars T&C we have added some limitations for when their client is detected. By doing so, you are allowed to have Flopzilla and PokerStars open at the same time.
