Hi Scylla,

I noticed that when I copy-paste a weighted range from CREV into HoldemEQ it's not possible to edit it in the matrix, it comes up blank. Is it possible at all to do it this way rather than edit the text string?

Thanks!

HoldEq's editor is slightly more basic than Flopzilla's and can only display 3 weights. If a range is introduced with more than 3 weights it will indeed show an empty field if you open the editor. This shouldn't really be an issue though, given that HoldEq is designed to connect to Flopzilla, in which you can edit the range and then export it to HoldEq. HoldEq's editor is just offered so that it can also function as a standalone equity calculator.

Cheers,

Scylla

Flopzilla is software for Windows, so it won't work on a Mac.
You can get it to run with software like CrossOver though.

I am in process of doing a clean install my pc and I just came to realize that I forgot my email or account I used to purchase my flopzilla.

Is there any way you can assist me with this?

Hi,

Please send the regkey.dat file to support.
We'll be able to read your registration data from it.

Cheers,

Scylla

No, it's up.
If you still can't reach it, then please just try a proxy (google "free proxy").

I just downloaded HoldEq this morning and I'm having some issues connecting it with multiple Flopzilla windows. I am opening two Flopzilla screens and I'm able to connect to the first window just fine. However when I go to select range 2 in HoldEq, press connect and then hover over my second Flopzilla window, I get nothing. Any suggestions?

This could actually happen in v113 of HoldEq, which was fixed in v114. Are you using the latest version of all programs? If not, then please upgrade to v183 of Flopzilla and try starting HoldEq from Flopzilla's menu with "HoldEq->Start HoldEq". Other than that, please set an exception in your virus scanner, as in some cases it can interfere with the software.

I am already running v183 and I tried shutting off virus protection and it didn't help. Again, I can connect to the first flopzilla window instantly, but when I move the mouse down to click on the connect button below range 1, it lights up to indicate that it is searching, but it never connects when I hover over the 2nd window. Any other ideas?

No, that's rather unusual. I assume you're running through Flopzilla.exe? Because if you don't, then it's possible for issues to occur. And can you please try mousing over the other Flopzilla window really quickly after clicking the "connect" button in HoldEq? The issue in v113 was that after a certain amount of time had passed after clicking the "connect" button, Flopzilla no longer recognized it. I'm close to positive that the issue was fixed, but perhaps I overlooked something.

Yes I am running both programs as admin. I have moused over the Flopzilla window immediately to no avail.

Ok, I can not seem to replicate this issue on any of my own systems. I think I will create a custom version that will hopefully help us see why the other Flopzilla is not recognizing HoldEq. Unfortunately I do not have time to do this right at this moment, but I will get back to you on Sunday with a custom update.

There's one more thing to try though that I had not yet thought of.
Can you please uninstall and reinstall to a different directory?
Just in case somehow a file was corrupted this will ensure a fresh reinstall.

hi scylla me again.

If i was a person who reformat my computer often, would i have problem since i can only use flopzilla on 2 computers ?

Like at my 3rd reformat on the same computer it would not work anymore or would it by rentering the key or w./e it uses to recognize i own the software ?

lastly, i stumble on agreta idea, about simply buying a tablet that runs windows and use flopzilla on it.

But does your program work on android as well so in could buy close to anyb tabvlet or i really need to buy a tablet that run solely on windows ?
thx

ps: if you ever have some knowledge about tablet that would work great with flopzilla at good quality/cost i am all ears ...
thx

It's possible for your key to no longer work after formatting, due to certain properties of your computer having changed (your key is tied to your hardware+installation). Whenever you need a new key, you can simply request a it on the website: http://www.flopzilla.com/requestkey.html. It will be sent to you within a few minutes of your request.

As for frequency of formatting, within any reasonable use it should not be a problem, unless you are constantly requesting new keys. However, requesting a third key for a similary looking computer is hardly going to be a problem.

Flopzilla is software for Windows, so it will only work on that platform.

Hey Scylla,

When I play on PS I use flopzilla not for making any calculations of course but I have all my ranges stored and sometimes I want to double check some stuff.
I think it would be a good idea to shift the big blue rectangle that say that flopzilla can't make calculations when playing on PS a little bit to the right so it doesn't get in the way of the hand matrix and so we're still able to use it just for the stored ranges.

Cheers

Yes, I assume you're using some kind of magnification factor here (under "Settings->Magnify screen by X%")? The problem here is that at the moment the message itself does not shift when magnification is used. It appears that this was overlooked. I will fix this for the next release. Or are you not using magnification and am I misunderstanding the issue?

Yes you're right I was using a 25% magnification. When I remove it then the rectangle is over the board matrix and it's OK.

Ok, well I'll make sure to scale that particular message as well in future releases.

Thank you for the feedback,

Scylla

Is there a way to inverse the currently selected filters?

i.e. I set the filters to show a continuing range on X flop, is there a way to flip the filters so it shows the non-continuing range?

This would be extremely helpful but I can't find a simple way to do it.

For this, turn on the filters (at the bottom) and then use the normal/inverted button at the top:

I have a preflop range that has been filtered for a flop

When I look at the turn and create a turn filter - is it possible to have the greyed out hands to represent the hands that passed the flop filter instead of all the preflop hands?

Yes, for this just activate the flop filters:
