I did and tried to reply to you, but got a message:

"luckyjam has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her.".

So, please mail support instead.

Hi scylla,

did you think of implementing more complex functionality for saving ranges? Maybe the one similar to equilab.

Current functionality is extremely simple and is just not enough when there are a lot of ranges.

The features that I lack really lot right now are
1. To be able to drag and drop ranges. Currently to move it you need to click right mouse button and select move up. It takes just to much time. If I could at least click it with left button and then press "ctrl+up"/"ctrl+down" several times that would be great already.
2. Being able to add longer names. Right now everything that is more that 15 symbols is simply cut...

You can left-click a name and then press the arrow buttons up/down to move it up/down. So what you're asking for is pretty much there already.

Ok, I'll see if there's something I can do.

I've just re-installed Flopzilla (said there was a new update), and now all my ranges are gone. I tried opening Flopzilla_C, but there was nothing there. Any ideas?

Did you possible install to a different directory?
Because your ranges will still be in the old one.
They're in the file newdefs.txt.

Other than that, please try going to "Save/Load->Restore predef ranges from list of backup files".

Hi! I've watched the tutorial and read the basic info on the site, but still can't get what "weight" is and therefore how do I use this feature. Would greatly appreciate someone defining it.

If you attach a weight to a starting hand of, for example, 33.3%, then that hand will only be included 33.3% of the time.

Example 1: No weights
See the savefile below (import into Flopzilla with Ctrl+I; you will need Flopzilla v1.7.1 for this):
The range contains AA,22 on a Js8d5d board.
Therefore, given that there's 6 combos out of a total of 12 that are overpairs, the range contains 50% overpairs (as you'll see in the statistics section).

Code:
[Flopzilla v1.7.1]
[Use Ctrl+I to import into Flopzilla]
[N9X3wygbdYvYbc3B+LpNqQOb3mGLuhtOfCKpRWCpVLCjGFKxv3]
[8okoWxCiYNJWTqzj84ProtyOAmDoYDFdqfakhUBqfPD3RU+HzP]
[cX7+2Rn61k6R83pYJ5vQCS1dnHoqoq2EmGMzM7yOm7UVzM7KrQ]
[JSHqbq4Rc0EHWwTMBVcJWkUq3qpSNBgd+b7XV7MM]

Example 2: AA has a weight of 33.3%
In the second example AA has a weight of 33.3%.
Therefore there's only 33.3%*6=2 combos of AA and 6 combos of 22.
So now only 2 out of a total of 8 combos are overpairs.
And indeed, in the statistics section you'll see that you now only hold overpairs 25% of the time.

Code:
[Flopzilla v1.7.1]
[Use Ctrl+I to import into Flopzilla]
[P9X3wy7edYvYbc3B+LpNqQOb3mGLuhtOfCKpRWCpVLCjGFKxv3]

hey scylla, is it possible to save a filtered range? I can get the filtered string with Crtl+Alt+T but get an error when I paste that into the starting range box ("Failed to import the following component: Ts7s"). Clicking 'store range' after filtering saves the original.

Well, you can simply create a savefile of course. But you can't load a range with suits into the preflop matrix. The preflop matrix is just intended for displaying preflop ranges, which typically will not include suits.

Yes, the predefined ranges apply to the preflop range.

How can I filter for specific suits that you mark? Lets say u open a 15% range so u add that on the left, and I wanna mark only AhKx. I tried working with the apply suits in the middle left, but it seems that is only about the pre flop range. Hope my question is clear this way, thanks.

I assume this is because there's 2 hearts on the board and you want to filter for a one-card backdoor flushdraw?
You'll need to turn on "Settings->Display 1 card backdoor flushdraw".
And then apply a custom filter for AhKx.
For more on applying filters to individual hands, watch the second video here: http://www.flopzilla.com/video.html

Thanks, it looks like savefiles will work for my project; they just take 1 more step than storing everything in Flopzilla.

Thanks for your response, Scylla.

Unfortunately, it says the file newdefs.txt was created on December 30 (the date on which I reinstalled).
When I go to "Save/Load...", it just loads the default Flopzilla ranges (I believe) - Premium, Small pocket pair, Mid pocket pair.

I didn't re-install to a different directory.

Ok, are you using v1.7.1?
In that case go to "Save/Load->Restore predef ranges from list of backup files".

Other than that, are you running through Flopzilla.exe or are/were you possibly running from Flopzilla_C.exe?

Also, could you please check if there's a Flopzilla directory in
- C:\Users\MYCOMPUTER\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Pro gram Files (x86)
- C:\Users\Public\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)
Here, MYCOMPUTER is your username on your computer.
AppData is a hidden directory.

No wait you don't get what I mean (or I explain it wrong obviously lol). Lets say the board is 2h2s2c and I want to select Ahkx but fold Adkx postflop. How can u enter that?

Flopzilla offers postflop filters for flushdraws, 2card backdoor flushdraws and 1card backdoor flushdraws. However, there's no filters present for suits that have no practical relevance to the board.

Hi, scylla.

Another request from me for the range saving section is to implement the ability to add subcategories. This is extremely useful when you are developing ranges for different board textures and turns/rivers. I did this in equilab before, but I think it takes about 5-10 times more time to do the same thing compared to flopzilla. So it's drastically faster with flopzilla, but there's no good saving abilities...

I think that one possible way for you to implement these changes is to make a possibility to switch to "advanced" mode in settings, in which the ranges storing section would become a bit wider than it is right now. This would preserve the simplicity for most users and will allow to add richer functionality.

It will filter for the inverse of the range.
So hands that do not pass through the filters now pass through, and hands that do pass through the filters are now filtered out.
To see its effect, turn ON the filters.

How do you save a collection of ranges (which have been stored), so that you don't have to scroll through every range that you've ever created, every time you use Flopzilla?

I see how to "restore pre-defined ranges", but (for example) I would like to have one collection which is just blind on blind ranges, and be able to pull this up to work w/, and not see my opening ranges, and so on.
