Hi Scylla,

I'd be interested in trying Flopzilla but I can't install .exe on the PC I'm playing: is it possible to run it on a USB stick? Or to install in another way?

thanks!
Andy

If you can run it on an USB stick is something you should be able to try out for yourself.
However, please be aware that in case of purchasing a license you can't just move the software between different computers.
Licenses are locked to the computer they're generated for.

Other than that, if you don't have full control over the computer you're working on, technical issues are more likely to arise and possibly impossible to solve.

Hello,
Could you please add a button for randomizing 'dead cards'? You said you will but instead
you added 'clear all fields button'. Would be really great if you added it

hey

when i try to install it i get the error message: could not locate cabinet in stream: disk1.cab

I have downloaded the installer (Error during installing?
Should you get an error during the installation, please save the installation file to disk before running it.)

any ideas ?

The .cab error occurs when the file is not completely downloaded, but only partially.
This can happen in case of a slow connection or if your virus scanner interferes with the download (it can happen that the scanner scans a partially downloaded (and thus incomplete/corrupted) file).

To solve this, please try this alternate link:
http://www.crevfiles.com/flopzilla/F...nstallv158.rar

Or, try downloading with FireFox.
If the download halts at some point, pause the download and then let it continue.
This is mainly a solution to the slow connection issue.

Hi there,

I am having registration problems. It says an unsupported operation has been attempted. Last year you sent me a regkey.dat file but I have not been able to make it work.

Cheers

Hi LordBaldrick,

You'll need a new key.
Please mail support and request one along with your hardware ID.
To get this ID, start Flopzilla and select "register" from the menu.

Cheers,

Scylla

Are you planning on improving the ''Add Category'' section soon ?

I am running out of space, it seems we are limited to that small rectangular as for the number of categories we can add.

Would be nice if it was possible to scroll up and down in that rectangular as to increase the number of saved category to infinity; or at least add an option to save and load profiles that have their own custom saved categories.

Thanks for some feedback regarding this matter.

Actually, you can just use your mouse scroller to scroll up/down.

lol, alright. I was trying to click on the little blue band in order to go up and down and it wasn't working. The mouse does the trick. Thanks. Very nice program.

Flopzilla opened in trial version although I am a registered user. I got a prompt saying I had used a registered version on this machine do I want to use my registration, or words to that effect. I clicked yes and flopzilla opened fine as the registered version but I have lost all of the ranges I had input. Will these be located anywhere on my pc? I looked in the appdata flopzilla folder but could only find the default ranges included when you purchase Flopzilla and none of the ranges I had added.

Please take a look in the virtual directory C:/Users/X/AppData/Local/VirtualStore/Program Files(x86)
Here X is your username on your computer.
AppData is a hidden directory.

The file you're looking for is newdefs.txt

Found the file but when I try to import I get the message 'Could not import text. The data file is corrupted.'

I'm just using the save/load 'open' option to try to import the file, is that correct?

No, just save the newdefs.txt file to Flopzilla's main directory. That should fix your issue.

any chance of getting flopzilla to be able to identify what % of board textures a hand/range would flop certain types of hands on? Ie we have T3s and we want to know how often we are flopping all of the "statistics" hand strengths, two pairs, etc, or do this with a range, ie we have 25% of hands and want to know how often we flop a flush draw, top pair or better. Kind of thinking of a feature like another poker equity calculator similar to pokerstove had, it showed a graph of your range/hand equity vs another range/hand on board textures. Hope that made any sense...

Hi czGLoRy,

For that, please:
- Enter a range
- Click on the Flopzilla logo

Flopzilla has quite a few hidden features.
Here's a link to the video manual: http://www.cardrunners-ev-calculator...llaVideos.html
Total run time: About 24 minutes.

Due to a setting you're using however, your scanner performs this check every single time you run it.
You'll need to disable it.

I've contacted Kaspersky about this.
Go here for the instructions they gave: http://www.cardrunners-ev-calculator.com/Kaspersky.html

Should you have another virus scanner, please try disabling it for Flopzilla's installation directory and see if it makes a difference. You may need to restart your computer, depending on your system.

Edit: No wait .... it ís taking ages .... but why?
Let me see if I can figure this out.

Update: *^*&*^%%^&!!! I think I'll just post an update. Be back in an hour.
Scylla,

I'm seeing this in 1.5.8. Flopzilla takes about a minute to load. This is with the firewall disabled, and I don't use a virus scanner.

P.S. It's even worse with CREV, it takes over 2 minutes to load.

What's the reason the straight flush category is missing when I use Option2 (calculate preflop statistics)? Not enough space?

Let's take an offsuit connector like T9o and calculte how often it hits straights - 1.31%.

Now let's take T9s. I know that it hits a flush 0.84% and from the previous calculation it hits a straight 1.31%.

What I see in Flopzilla is:
Straight - 1.29%
Flush - 0.82%

Of course, we can have a straightflush but that is only 1.31*0.84/100=0.01%
So I can understand if one of the categories percentage is reduced by 0.01,
but 0.02 is taken out of both.

Now, I assume a straightflush is under the >=quads category. I don't see where 0.03% for T9s comes from,
since >=quads is only 4 boards out of 19600: TTT, 999, KQJ and 876 of the suit. That is 4/19600*100=0.02%

All I can say is, it's something on your system.
In most cases that I'm aware of, this is caused by Kaspersky.
