Someone asked in Skype, i'll answer here. Demo version at the moment have a different interface than the full version. But in fact it is a same program with the same settings, and does the same. So it should not be afraid.

Hi, if you playing only on PS or FTP, you don't gain big advantages compared to NC. Only speed, program do color coding faster than Notecaddy.
In disadvantages we can write a small number of stats, but they are not important for color coding.

In short ColoringTool is just alternative for NC color coding, and faster, support PT3-4\HM1-2, and PS, FTP, Ongame, 888poker, Party (not sure, mb NC added support not only for PS and FTP), and online database (not sure, NC support it or not).

Overall if you have NC and playing only on PS\FTP, NC same that ColoringTool (slower, but does matter). If you don't have NC and you need only color coding, ColoringTool better =)

PS of course i'm comparing only color coding feature. NC much bigger than ColoringTool and all people buy it for automatic notes =)

I mean I only see colors on pokerstars, but when you color code with notecaddy there is an option Export color definitions as Note Labels. It's PokerStars only setting btw. This wil allow you to see text such as "TAG, ABC" when you hover over someone's icon or over their name in the lobby. Is there maybe a colordefinition file or something like that or doesn't coloringtool support it ? Do I just need to remember every color and what it means in the rules like purple is bad player, blue=regular, yellow=rock, green=big fish/loose pas/loose agr, red=solid and again blue is abc. I couldn't find or figure out how or if colortool can do this too perhaps ?

There is only an option to overwrite existing colors and it is now on off maybe that is it ? Put it on on and then Descriptions wil also be overwritten or I can put it myself in there as new description and it then wil do al new coloring notes for all players on pokerstars , I hope you understand what I mean because I can't also can't explain it very good in english lol my apoligize for it!

Hmmm just tried but I can only choose there for option like on or off but can't edit descriptions, maybe I have to change it once in pokerstars and then colortool wil know too and remembers ?
K I edited like this, and now run coloringtool again:

Hmmm I go in coloringtool to Settings Overwriting but it doesn't see the new descriptions, maybe also close pokerstars first. Hmmm it does however change all colored players, maybe I have to do it this way and leave overwriting on off.
K it worked, but i don't know if this is the way to do it with colortool cause with notecaddy you can change it from notecaddy and you don't need to change it in pokerstars.

I haven't added the ability write in notes text like "Tag", "Fish", cause it increases the file size, can slow down coloring. Well, basically I thought it was unnecessary, because we usually using 3-5 primary colors, in which we choose the tables (fish, reg, crazy, abc). I guess not hard to remember.

About changing colors in program. You can't do it in program, but again i guess it not hard change it in PS, close room (all changes PS save only after closing) and then using new colors in program.


But i can add it (copy description into notes and change colors in program) in new version if this really needed.


About Overwriting. It for control, which color program can change. You can turn off all for example, you will safe all color labels, that you added manually. Program can't change it and will only add labels for players, who don't have any color.

Or you can turn off one of these, and program can change only other labels, except selected.

Can be useful if you want to save labels that were made ​​by hand, and see that made by program. You create new color, for example "pink". Turn off all, except pink. And using only pink in coloring rules. So if you see pink color in table, you will know that this created by program.
And program will not change you main colors.

Hi, for HM BB mean bb (big blinds). For PT3 BB mean BB (big bets). For PT4 fixed limit games BB mean BB (big bets). Doesn't matter how you will type BB or bb in rules, all depends on the database.

Yeah, demo gui was very good =) But i can't made wizard, schedule, running more than one coloring by using different settings (for example you using local db and online db and in demo you need waste time to change settings all time).

Overall i wanted to add too many stuff, and gui was changed =)

I cant find "finshinterceptor" on pokerstars´s whitelist. did you get in contact with PS oder PP to verify if they allow your services?

With PP i have no contact, but not sure that someone can ban you. Program works with closed poker room client, and make only color labels. Not big deal for room i guess.

I just installed ColoringTool on my 2nd PC, I copy my code I got via email and click ok, then ColoringTool restarts and wants me to type in the code again. So it doesnt work on my Laptop. What i am doing wrong?

Can we filter the condition stats for Table size/number of players? For example, VPIP numbers for HU, 6max and FR are very different.
