Re: CardRunners EV calculator: EV calculations with decision trees

Since I recieved the false positive trojan warning, my cardrunnersev has stopped working. It just shuts down after the 'Cardrunnersev will start in 5seconds' window pops up. Is this related to the new fix scylla?

A file was probably deleted by your virusscanner.
I've contacted the encryption company about the problem and it appears that the problem is a result of some changes in encryption protocols which causes a larger number of false positives than usual.
Most virus scanners have no issues, it's just some of them.
I've made some new changes I'm currently posting an updated fix that should solve all problems.
It'll be up in about an hour.

Re: CardRunners EV calculator: EV calculations with decision trees

Ok, the new version is up and as far as I can tell the issue is resolved now.
To auto-update you'll need to start the software.
The new files will be detected upon startup.

Some users may need to run as admin to auto-update.

Sounds like it.
Please send me an e-mail with your hardware ID (to get it, start the software and click on the yellow "register" button) and I'll mail you a new key.

Cheers,

Scylla

I don't think there's another way than to make a screenshot and paste it in a program like paint.

Re: CardRunners EV calculator: EV calculations with decision trees

sorry if this is a simple question but i want to make sure.

when weighting preflop conditions, is it like this:

100% of the time dude 3bets with his pure value hands (AA-QQ AKs)

say 50% of the time he does it with those same hands AND A7o A6o as random bluffs. is this correct? if asking for an unexplainable shove range will it calculates using both those conditions?

thanks

In order to do that you'll need to add two conditions to the action.
The first is AA-QQ,AKs.
The second is A7o,A6o.

For the second condition you'll need to set the weight to 50%.
You can do that with either the button that says "100%" or by rightclicking the condition in the tree, which will prompt a dialog which will let you enter the weight.

Re: CardRunners EV calculator: EV calculations with decision trees

The first EV number in a tree which is under the preflop condition. Does this tell overall EV for the entire tree or just the EV of preflop play?

Is there a way to select postflop ranges for copying? (say I wanna copy all hands in "2pair")

The calculated EVs include all play in future streets.

Compute with F7, move your mouse over the condition and press Alt+O.
The first line contains a string with all the starting hands that are in that condition.

Sorry, Scylla, is there anything to do with that? I need the program to be opened by clicking the file.

I'll see if there's anything I can do, but from what I recall, there's some sort of technical problem with it. Can't remember what it was though.

Re: CardRunners EV calculator: EV calculations with decision trees

Hi Scylla,
I've been working with CREV for a few days and after making some trial and error I tried to analyze my first hand.

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em Tournament, 10/20 Blinds (9 handed) - Full Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com
MP2 (t2210)
MP3 (t2020)
CO (t1970)
Button (t1970)
SB (t1980)
BB (t1820)
Hero (UTG) (t2000)
UTG+1 (t2030)
MP1 (t2000)
Hero's M: 66.67
Preflop: Hero is UTG with Ac, Jc
Hero bets t60, 3 folds, MP3 raises to t100, 4 folds, Hero calls t40
Flop: (t230) 5c, 10h, 8c (2 players)
Hero checks, MP3 bets t350, Hero calls t350
Turn: (t930) 9s (2 players)
Hero checks, MP3 bets t540, Hero raises to t1550 (All-In), MP3 calls t1010
River: (t4030) Ks (2 players, 1 all-in)
Total pot: t4030

But when I make the decission tree and evaluate I got some weird Equities:
Preflop:

Flop:

Turn:

Am I doing something wrong? where?

Thank you

Re: CardRunners EV calculator: EV calculations with decision trees

My guess would be that you've also entered a river where AcJc is just A high.
That would explain a 4% equity.

I'm afraid I really can't do that.
It sounds like something that first I'd have to set up and then look after for all eternity.
Just dealing with the spam alone (judging from other forums) sounds like a never ending task.
I prefer to focus my energy elsewhere.
