I'm already having a bit of a look at some hand histories.
I HOPE this will not be a huge amount of work.
From what I can tell so far, this may go smoothly.

I'm considering starting out with
Full tilt
Pokerstars
iPoker

Did I miss any big sites?
I know you boys in the US can't play on Prima, but taken together, I think Prima/Microgaming has a HUGE player base. Please don't forget us (like PT is doing right now, grr). I'm more than willing to help to send you HH's. Thanks.

Alternatively, how about working with the exported HH's that HEM creates? I should think that they're pretty similar whatever site they come from?

Sure, no problem.
Send some files to stoxpoker_ev@hotmail.com and I'll add it.

It's currently somewhere at the top under the title "Stoxpoker EV calculator manual".

I'm asuming you want to call with all other hands?
Click on the "add hands" field and then click ok in the postflopcondition window.
An "all hands" condition has now been added.

By the way, this is also explained in the video manual which has just been released. Go to www.stoxpoker.com/videos.

ok i have the basics figured out but would like any tips on how to use this program on the fly. I know it will give me the ev of me having 76s in the bb when bob raises utg but entering a tree in the middle of a hand does not seem practical

I'm currently working on importing hands and after that I'll probably start working on some other stuff to speed up entering trees. Maybe a wizard or something like that, not sure yet.

However, the program is intended to be for off table analysis so you can figure out optimal lines. It's not my intention to turn it into a bot.

Yes, sorry about that.

I tried to get a copy online yesterday but I couldn't get to the admin.

I will be there in a few hours.

To give you easier acces I've uploaded a copy here.

Please forgive the amateuristic nature of the website, it's just the place where I put files if I can't find a quicker way.

There's some minor improvements in the new version.
Most importantly however, there's a new button for importing hands from Full Tilt, PokerStars, iPoker, Party and Prima.
Unfortunately it's not done yet, but it won't be long. I probably need two more days after the weekend (the weekend is for fun/grinding).

When it's done I'll publish it and we can get to work on all the bugs it will probably contain.

Cheers,

Scylla

I'm getting an error:

The cabinet file 'disk1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the cd-rom, or a problem with this package.

cancel/retry/ignore

Anybody else having this problem? Any advice?

Darn.

Same problem here.
There was a minor problem when I uploaded the file to stoxpoker but I didn't think much of it at the time.
It appears the file has been corrupted.

Ok, for the time being, dowload it here.
Click the link, the download will take a few seconds.
Do not close the window before you know you've got the file.

Additional installation note:
If the stoxev_E.exe file is not overwritten then remove it manually from the installation directory and reinstall.

Ok, I just re-uploaded it but it's still giving the same problem.

However, if you save to disk before installing it will work fine.

Not sure what the trouble is, but this will have to do for now.

Installation note:
Once again, if the Stoxev_E.exe file is not automatically overwritten, remove it manually and reinstall.

Ok, yah that worked. Thanks a lot. Program looks awesome btw. Would you consider some sort of offer whereby I get an exclusive license to this piece of software and it is not distributed publicly? I think 200k would probably be fair.

Nah, something tells me it wouldn't work out long term.
But on the bright side you'll be able to get a copy thousands of times cheaper

The tutorial vid is great so far. I was pretty lost prior to viewing it but I'm understanding the program much better now.

One question so far. When entering stack sizes, are they expressed as BB's or dollars? It's hard to tell since the default is 100 and your example uses 100NL.

No units are given.

So 1 can be anything that you want it to be, for instance $1, 1 big bet, 1 blind, etc.

You will need to adjust the Cap (under game properties) to reflect the proper unit.

Hi guys,

Ok, I've finished with the first version of the program that is capable of importing hand histories from Full tilt, Pokerstars, iPoker, Party and Prima.

To import, press F3 and copy past the hand history into the texbox.
You can set rakeback and cap per site under "Import hand"

This first version probably has a decent amount of bugs still in it and I hope we can work together on finding them.

When importing please pay attention to for instance the following things:
- Is a hand correctly identified as a limit/no limit hand?
- Is a hand correctly identified as a tournament hand?
- Are the stacksizes properly read?
- In case of antes, are the antes deducted from all the stacks and correctly added under "Add chips to pot" (game properties menu)?
- Are heads up hands properly treated
- Are sitouts and disconnects properly treated?

+ Anything you can think of

Report bugs here or mail hand histories to stoxpoker_ev@hotmail.com.

One of the things I certainly will have to add are prizestructures for tournaments. Can anyone tell me about the protocols that these sites use for this? When I used to play on pacific, at the start of the tournament, the site always showed a table of how the prizestructure was arranged. Perhaps the same thing exists on other sites?

You can get the most recent copy here.
(Yes, it's an ugly site. I could pretty it up, but I haven't bothered (yet?). It's just the site I use to quickly posts files.)

Import is not working for Prima hands here, scylla. I tried importing through HEM and through a .txt HH file from Prima, but neither would work. I sent you the HH's.
