Ok I'm trying to put the new version online, but for some mystical reason it's giving me trouble.

For now, go to http://www.stoxev.com/209.htm, download the contents of location "test" (it's the new file StoxEVmain.exe) and copy it over the old StoxEVmain.exe.

Should fix it.

Let me know if that works for you.

Ok, problem fixed.

Never mind what I said before, just start the program in the normal way and it should update to 2.2.0.

Let's first check if you've properly updated.

Please try the following.

Go to the installation directory and open the file "currentversion.txt".
In the first line write "218" and start the file StoxEV.exe.
The program should now update.

If this also fails, please check the properties of the StoxEVmain.exe file and tell me its size.

Also, is there some reason to believe that the date/time on your pc has again changed?

That's most likely C:/program files/StoxEV/StoxEV/StoxEV

currentversion.txt is the third file on the list.

Open it and change the first line to 218.

Then start StoxEv.exe.

If you get the error again, rightclick on StoxEVmain.exe, go to properties (last on the list) and tell me its size (should be 3.53Mb).

Wauw, you can't even save a textfile in that directory?

Try the following:

Go to www.stoxev.com
Go to latest version
Download the upgrade patch
Unzip and copy paste the contents into the main directory
Manually start StoxEVmain.exe

Should work from now on.
At least, it shóuld, but something weird is going on on your comp.
Are you running on Vista?
Or perhaps something that's a bit exotic?

Ok, let's try another approach.

Please install TeamViewer 4 and Skype.
Just google these names to get their location.

thanks i just got it working, turned off "user account control" in my controll panel and that allowed me to change the 219 to 218 and save and it worked. sorry i'm such a noob and thanks for all your help. i'm very much looking forward to using this program.

the msi is clean but when it updates it downloads a trojan horse on to the computer? Why is this?

also why is it called 3 different names? stoxev, flopzilla, SHEA? why cant you uninstall this program via my programs?

Is this program afillated with stoxpoker?

Avoid this software imo. There is a reason this software is free...

I'm grunching here, forgive me if it has been mentioned before, but what up with the previous session feature ... I save most interesting sessions, so I don't care that it's there

Also it is annoying to see it pop up when I click on a stx file to restore some situation that I've been working on previously, since I ordered something else than the previous session

But apart from that, amazing program
