In this instance, we should run CR EV in cash mode rather than tournament mode? EV would be be represented as chip EV rather than $ EV right?

thanks

If you're far away from the final table then switching to "Cash game" mode is probably a good idea.
It keeps things simple.

Hello scylla

I have a had CREV freeze on me a couple of times. I had it happen again, right after I rebooted my computer( which I needed to do because CREV just froze before) It froze again. I am wondering if there could be something I could be doing/ problem with computer which is causing the freeze. I Have a 250GB SSD( which is about 85% full) with 16GB of RAM, I think 2.4gz processor and ICore5. I also Had PT4 running in the background( which I am going to keep off this time) Freeze has been occurring when making adjustments using the post flop editor, for a river decision point.

It would be great let me know if you have any idea on what pay be causing this, or things I could do to prevent CREV freezing.

Thanks

Does this happen consistently, or is it one particular savefile?
Could you please send me a savefile where this happens for you with a clear description of when exactly you get the freezing problem?

I closed Poker tracker 4. When I did this I noticed A) the freezing stopped. B) When I did an EV run it completed much faster.

I was also wondering is there a way to get the text output for a range post flop?( I see how to do it for the preflop range) For example I want to take my turn starting from CREV and put it into GTO range builder.

Ok, that's kind of weird. For what it's worth, one thing I neglected to suggest was to set an exception in your virus scanner. I don't see how that would tie in with PT4 but a virus scanner cįn cause freezing and slowdowns.

Mouse over the decision/action/condition from which you want the range and press Alt+O. The range is given in the top of the output window.

Suppose you have a game tree where the two players go all-in on a specified flop with certain ranges, and check down the rest of their hands on specified turn and river cards.

Is it possible to have the EV for the flop all-in ranges to not take into account the specified turn and river cards, without setting them to blank? I mean, I get that you can see the EV for each line by specifying/clearing the turn and river cards, and I'd like to be able to see them simultaneously (ie. checking it down EVs are based on the specified turn and river cards, but the flop all-in EVs are not).

I really like pressing alt+A and visually looking at combos as that window that pops up is awesome and really helps me.

So I recently was looking at a hand in a 3handed game. I noticed it started using monte carlo instead of math mode because its more then 2 people. okay. but to my dismay it does not allow u to alt+A after modeling it and wanting to look closer at the nice list of combos I am getting to the river with.

In the hand I am modeling I raise btn, blinds call. and sb c/fs flop and bb calls so if I want to avoid it and get that combo window should I just model the hand as 2 players?

sorry if i am being unclear.

If I wanted to export information such as EV, equity, call frequency etc to an outside program for multiple nodes at once what would be the easiest way to do that? I know that the graph functions allow for text output but in terms of computation would it be better to just scrape the screen? Is there any kind of API? I am not really a programmer but am willing to learn anything that will help. Would it be possible to somehow efficiently capture the data being displayed in the GUI by means other than screen scraping or using many different graph checkpoints?

edit: got the EV and equity with alt O but still dont see a way to get frequencies

No, such a feature does not exist.

Yes, the Alt+A feature is only available in Math mode, so you will need to model the hand for two players.

You can indeed use Alt+O to export EV and equity.
Frequencies do not have an export function.

As a follow up question - why would you ever want the EV of flop all-in ranges to be based specific turn and river cards? It seems strange to me to calculate this in any other way than assuming that the turn and river cards are unknown (even if you have specified them).

Good, ædo you know if crev calculates the call or raise postflop unworkable? thx

Unfortunately I don't understand your question.
Could you please rephrase it?

CardRunnersEV is a calculator and it simply provides you with the output that corresponds to your input. That's ... just how calculators work. Input -> Math -> Output. Calculators do not make judgements for you which information is important and which information is not. It's not the calculator's call to make.

Why might the F7 key not be working to cause an EV run? Also do the keyboard arrows normally work to move the scroll bar? Mine currently don't.

Is there a list of all keyboard shortcuts that exist for CREV? Thanks.

It sounds like there might be another program active on your computer that's capturing that sort of input.

There isn't, but I'll add such a list for the next release.

Could you perhaps phrase this question:
- in more words
- in your native language
- with a screenshot as an example
I'll use Google Translate.

Me gustarķa saber si se puede usar crev para hacer un call o un raise inexplotable postflop. gracias

Can you use CREV to find unexploitable call and raise play post-flop?

I don't understand what this means.
It would probably help a lot if you would use a more elaborate description of what you want to say.
