Hey guys! New to GTO+. I just activate my "key" but it won't let me "Run Solver." I build my tree but then it doesn't let me do anything after that.

How do I make sure I am using the "Registered Version" and not the Free Version?

The "Solver" Button never turns blue

You will first need to build the tree.
It's only after this that the solver will be available.

So please click on "Build tree".
This will take you to the tree builder.
Set whichever settings you like.
Then click on "Build tree" in the menu itself.
See the screenshot below.

As for the registered vs trial version, I notice that in your screenshot that you have selected a board other than Td9d6h. This is only possible in the registered version, meaning that the software is already activated.

Ty! I have figured this out for now. If I wanted to lock a certain hand to see how the Solver playas that exact hand, how would I do that?

Hey Scylla awesome product! I am trying to get a rudimentary grasp of how to use the Solver effectively.

How do I see find out the EV of betting and checking? For instance if I raise QJ UTG and only BB calls.

The flop comes J76

BB X to me, How do I find out the EV of both betting and checking here?

If you want to know how the solver plays a certain hand, then simply build a tree, solve it and then check how the hand is played in the solution.

For that, go to the EV tab.
The EV for each action is displayed below the table.

So in the screenshot below the overall EV for the entire decision is 20.31.
The EV for betting is 25.67.
And the EV for checking is 18.58.

Similarly, the table will show a breakdown of EV for individual hands.

Check below the matrix for the color code that is used for each action.
In the example below "Bet"=blue and "Check"=green.

TY! I feel like a kid in a candy store with this thing haha.

What do "threads" mean? It says 8 when it run the SIM.

Wouldn't it be possible to use CUDA and get much faster solves than using the CPU?

Sure, we can look into it.

Most modern systems have a processor with multiple cores. When using 8 threads, the solve is basically subdivided into 8 smaller tasks, each processed on its own core. By using all available cores, the solver will run a lot faster. Typically on 4 cores the optimum performance will be at 8 threads.

There's workarounds for turning this OFF, but if at all possible, I would strongly recommend taking advantage of symmetry whereever possible. If the range were to be edited to that only QsTs is changed, then the solver can no longer achieve this speedup.
Hello, how does the workaround work if I want to turn the symmetry off?

Thanks Scylla! This is my first time ever working with a Solver and it is super fun. I’ve heard people talk about “node locking.” Does GTO+ have this feature? What is a “node lock?”

Also where it says "Range 1" is that OOP? And then "Range 2" is IP?

Yes it has node locking. Node locking is locking in particular actions for a range.

Yes

There is a series on youtube about GTO+ which is pretty helpful

Edit the preflop range so that there's one tiny combo of a particular suit in there. For example, if there's no 74o in the range, then just add [0.01]7c4d[/0.01] to it. The range is now no longer symmetrical.

Hi,
Im thinking about buying gto+.
I just watched your second video and I'm interested in the scripting option. Pio allows you to use aggregated reports to compare frequencies, given ranges and the tree I build, on different flops. In the video it appeared that GTO+ allows for only plotting some stuff and does not solve full trees/offer the option of aggregated reports.

Was that option added later?
thanks

Yes, an aggregate tab was indeed added at a later point.

Where do I find these "Database Distributions." I only see this on my screen when I run a solver.

is it possible to export a single flop from a database and save seperately?

say i run a DB of x amount of flops and I want to play around with node locking on a specific flop and save that flop as a single file without effecting the rest of the database?

Such a feature is currently not available, but I will consider it for later releases.

You will need to build+solve a database before you can see an aggregate report on it.
For this, click on "Run solver", go to the "Advanced" tab and turn ON "Activate database mode".
Here you can build your database.
After that, solve all the trees by clicking on "PROCESS DATABASE".

Hi scylla, it would be great if you could copy a range at any particular node in the tree so to paste it in holdeq.
For instance, I would like to look at the equity vs the calling range of the worst hand in the turn cbetting range.

Hi, at certain trees I like to edit my strategy to use only on certain size after a specific node but to do this I need to use the tree builder and then the tree editor, but the problem is, everyday when I open gto+ and want to solve a different spot I need to rebuild my tree using the tree editor and this consume some time, I can't save the edited trees, only the trees created by the tree builder are saved with the right configuration and because of this I need to edit the trees everytime I open GTO+, is possible to you make a way of saving edited trees to use in future solves just clicking on it like the way is possible with the trees created by the tree builder can be saved?

Ok, I will see what I can do for later releases.

If I understand you correctly, then this is already possible.
For this:
1) Load a tree that you built previously
2) Change its ranges/board/rake/etc to whatever you like
3) Go to the tree builder, select the "Rebuild" tab and click on "Rebuild with current settings"
