We added some new features to the equity calculator today. Added a slider and some quick CTRL functions to select multiple hands quicker. Also made selecting the board cards a lot quicker w/ 2 different ways to do it.

We will be adding the ability to connect to your database and grab any hand you want to run, so it will auto fill the board and any known cards you have. This should be done on Monday.

Select ranges quickly and easily based on likelihood:

Results when run:
Board:

Equity Win Tie Hand Range
54.8236% 54.0302% 0.7934% [ AA(100),KK(100),AKo(100),AKs(100),AQs(100),QQ(40), JJ(10),AJs(75),TT(7) ]
45.1764% 44.3829% 0.7934% [ QcQd ]

Calculate your break even bluff percentage after you run your equity:

Just go to the site and re-download the trial and install to update to the latest version.

I tried the Odds And Outs. Nice program.

The first time I went through it, there was an error at the end. It was trying to write a file or something like that but it could not do it. I have Windows Vista, so I tried running the program as admin, and then it finished on the end just fine. So Vista users must run as Admin.

Looking forward to trying out the other two parts of the program.

Yes, thanks for the info. We will be adding some info on the site and software about that.

When you get a chance to try the other parts, let me know if you have any comments. Thanks again.

We just added the ability to pull hands directly from your Holdem Manager (PT3 will be added soon) Database for both the Equity Calculator and Equity trainer. So if there are some interesting hands from a recent session, you can click and load them in so you don't have to setup your cards, opponents hands or board. You can then create ranges for your opponent if you want, or just run a calc based on how the hand was played.

We also added the ability to right click and hold down the mouse so that you can essentially paint hand ranges by moving your mouse over the hand range grid.

We'll be adding a couple of other things soon as well too. But if you have any comments or suggestions, please feel free. We want to make it as useful as possible.

We added several pre-defined ranges you can easily click and add. If there's anything specific someone would like to see added, please let me know.

Thanks for the great free calculator. I really like the idea of the odds and outs trainer too. I've put in a little time with it this weekend and I can see the benefit of "drilling" yourself on some of this basic math. After a little practice these calculations started becoming quicker to preform for me. When I save up some extra cash I'll be getting the Equity and Pre-Flop trainer as well.

You're welcome.

The idea with the equity trainer is that through the use of repetitive drills, you're going to understand your approximate equity in any given spot. It will also help tremendously with understanding hand ranges. We used it with several students and coaching, and they all say the same thing. That's it's helped a lot with something that seemed pretty elusive to them, and it's made them more confident.

We're always looking to improve it though, so if you have any suggestions, just let us know.

Looks promising.

Is omaha support being considered?

yes is omaha support possible ?
perhaps after development on omaha leakbuster is done ?
the equity part should be easy but the drills with the preflop hand hand range might very hard to do eh ?

It helped me only have to make one deposit online because I wasn't getting into bad post flop situations. Cost: $19.99

.
is there a post flop trainer in the works as well ? many of us have a great deal of flop/turn/river leaks,,
just a drill/quiz format ?

Yes, but it's not in the immediate plans. It will happen though, but I don't know a timetable at the moment.

Playing around with this, I am not sure it is accurate:

It shows three outs for the nines plus 1.5 backdoor outs. I count the following backdoor outs:

{5,6}, {6,T}, {T,J}, {7,8},{A,8},{A,7}

Is that 1.5 outs? Looks like more.

The equity calculator is great. Definitely using this instead of pokerstove.

I am checking out the equity calculator.

When trying to load hands from the database, it shows "sessions" to select, but by doubleclicking it opens an empty window, it doesnt load any hand (I use Holdem manager).

Are you sure that you have a player selected in HM? And it will only load no-limit and limit holdem currently.

I have an alias that includes my player names on starts, tilt and party. I play no limit holdem.

I did like the odds and outs calculator the backdoors outs and trying to caculate our odds from that was good training.

the equity trainer i would like to see the following
1. able to analyze against 2 peoples
2. able to see the hole cards on the flop/turn/river as somehow the preflop cards known even checked doens't work on past the preflop

3. when i get the answer wrong,,i would like to know why !.
in the odds and outs trainer you see why as the correct outs and back door outs are shown, but if i get it wrong no information is given why ,, just moves on to the question about breaking even and then no teaching is given just the high light answer and a move on.

4. to really improve your equity as to train it... i just watched the action on the turn where the villian bet and i called ,, and i realized ..
i would like to know my equity and have the advice given to me,, you think your equity is 30 pecent do you bet, check fold, check call, or check raise.

5. i also would like to have the option of putting having a hand range number appear where the hud stats go..
or did you intend for vpip to be his hand range ?

it is a good program,, but i think these suggestions would help to improve it further.

How do I get the equity calculator? I didn't notice a link for it on your website.

It is only given as a bundle w/ the equity trainer? If I d/l the equity trainer 24hr trial and it expires, will the calculator continue to work?
