888, Stars or party?

888 & Party

I use 888caption and partycaption on 888 and partypoker. I play on pokerstars and use tableoptimizer.


When i was playing tournaments today, i usually just play on pokerstars, i put 888 and partypoker tables. First off, im not sure if this is software issue or not or with 888/partycaption.


I play on a 1920x1200 monitor. So i tile 4 tables. Then every table that opens up after that, well they go over each of those tables. Example, when there are 12 tables, you see 4 tables, and behind each table, there should be 2 each or some with 1 each or 3 each etc. So when an action comes on pokerstars, well it automatically gets me to the table. This has to do with pokerstars whether the tableoptimizer or pokerstars itself. When i was playing on 888poker and partypoker with 888caption and partycaption on, there is a very annoying problem where if i have action on my partypoker or 888 tables, well i have to manually click on each table at the bottom... like the taskbar etc. Then when i have action waiting on my pokerstars tables, i have to manually click on a pokerstars table from the task bar area... then it would go to the next pokerstar table etc like normal. But i would always have to manually click on an 888 or partypoker tables when action is on it. Earlier i had just a few 888 and partypoker tables and much more pokerstars table. Now if i only play on pokerstars, i have zero issue with using tableoptimizer and when an action shows up, well it shows up.


Can you tell me how to fix this issue? Im thinking the reason is because the 888 and partypoker table... they just block the pokerstars table etc? Because if someone was say playing 10 tables on pokerstars, 5 tables on 888 and 5 tables of party, it would be way too hard. Even if you had 2 tables each of 888 and party, you have to manually click on the table that is waiting action. Then you have to manually click on a pokerstars table and then it would go to every pokerstars table awaiting action.


How do you fix this issue? Why doesn't the tables just show up over each other like when a partypoker or 888poker table is over a pokerstars table and vice versa? Its basically impossible to multitable 2-3 sites like this.

Also another question. When i was playing on partypoker earlier, my seat kept changing to different seats. Is there a reason for this? My seat should be one of the seats in the bottom etc. I know on pokerstars and 888, i did the preferred seat. But on partypoker, im not sure but when i played on partypoker tables... mostly sngs... well my seat was always the same spot etc. In tournaments, i do start out in the right seat, but then whenever i had a seat change in the tournament, well im no longer sitting in that normal seat. The other issue is the BB stack i have in bold etc also randomly goes to that seat etc.

You can try to turn off autoactivation options in 888poker client and try to use Options / Popup table whenever action is required in 888Caption - maybe it helps. Let me know if this is not so.

There is no any auto activation options in PartyCaption, sorry. So there is only one way - completely turn off auto activation in a partypoker settings.

PaulyJames200x, Stars client (or Table optimizer) can work with Stars tables only and it know nothing about party or 888 tables. The same applies to 888 and party. It is impossible to create such game mechanism without some external program that will manage all the tables - Stars, party and 888. If each program manages only its own tables, then it will inevitably cause conflicts.
So for this style of play you will need some kind of multiroom table arrangement tool. I do not know whether such a program exists, but my programs are not able to do that, sorry. PartyCaption can work with party tables only, and 888Caption with 888 tables. Maybe I'll do such program in the future, but in fact this is a not very simple task.

You can configure preferred seat in partypoker client / Options / Table options / Table Seating

I have a problem with that the big blind is posted to early sometimes after an update of the 888 client.

I have auto click wait for big blind in 888 caption but it doesnt click the box for that.
So about 1/4 of the time, if I dont press it myself I post the big blind early.

I also have turn off auto post blinds checked in 888 caption.

Uncheck it, because this option doesn't work with latest 888 clients - there is no Post blinds checkbox in it now. And you posts blinds because it checked (it unchecks Wait for big blind checkbox and trying to uncheck Post blinds, but can't do it).

Or you can downgrade to a previous verison of 888poker client if you want.
How to do it:
1. Download and install one of the previous versinos of 888poker client, for example 888poker p-1-en-4-6.22-0-52 - this version has a chat on a table and Post blinds checkbox.
2. Download this script: 888_resetUpdate.reg
3. Run this script before every run of the 888poker

This script is just a reg file with such text:
It resets a 888poker update flag in the system registry. 888poker will set this flag every time and it will check it at every start, so you should reset it to prevent a poker client update.

Whats happened with the note taking on PartyCaption since the update? It seems I can no longer just double click on a player and give them a colour? Is this no longer possible?

With players≤2 filter it will work in HU only.
To filter an open raise situation, you can use such filters:
In PartyCaption / 888Caption - xBet≤1 (and 1<xBet≤2 for 3bet, 2<xBet for 4bet+, etc)
In StarsCaption - bet≤1bb

Let me know if you will have any additional help with it.

Not sure if 888 Live Casino applies in this thread but it was working fine Monday morning and since have not been able to log in, it acts like it's trying to load, then restarts saying:
"Your session has expired 10003"

I've tried uninstalling/re-installing, restart computer, live online support not available and email taking forever to be answered. Thought maybe this might be faster to get some sort of answer. I can still play poker and bet on sports and get in the normal casino.

What exactly you mean?
The latest known version of 888 client is 4-7.2-30-39, and 888Caption2 supports it since v2.34

Try to update it, if it is not the latest version.
