However, every time i close/reopen 888 caption, the numbers are back and i have to delete everything again :

Is there a way to set it so that the numbers don't reappear every time i close/reopen it ?

Sorry, there is no way to do it, betscript resets to default settings if you delete numbers.

If you need to turn it off, disable the 'Active' checkbox. There is no way to turn it off partially, betscript can be disabled in full only.

I play mostly on stars. But i did play somewhat a bit on 888, party and full tilt and saw there is partycaption, full tilt caption as well.


I use tableoptimizer for autoregister sngs on stars and use it for preset and postflop betting and never sit out etc and it works good.


Is there a free trial for each of these sites? Also does it work very similar to tableoptimizer? Tableoptimizer is really good.

All three programs works free at microstakes (up to NL10 cash and $3 buy-in tourneys). You can use them there without any restrictions.
888Caption and FTCation also have a one month trial for all stakes.

PartyCaption and 888Caption have 'SnG registrator' for autoregister sngs, all programs have preset bets, never sit out, auto timebank, $ to bb, hotkeys, etc.
I'm not very familiar with tableoptimizer and don't know how it differs from Captions.

Hi. bit confused on your wording. So basically partycaption is the only one that doesn't have a free trial if you want to try it at higher limits than 10nl and 3 dollar buyin plus correct? 888 and FT you can use it free 1 month just like you could as with the premium version?


Also i took a look on google. So basically i download it on the first site that shows up? Seems bit strange as oppose to other sites like tableoptimizer and tableninja etc.

888Caption is a support program for playing on 888poker. It also supports Lotos, LuckyAce, 848, TowerTorneos, WSOP.com, 888poker.es and NJ.888poker.com, NJ.WSOP.com (New Jersey, USA).

The program is free for microstakes (up to NL10 cash and $3 tourney buy-in). If the program detects any other table, it closes automatically.
You need to request the trial to use it on any stakes. To do it, run the poker client, login and don't open tables. Click 'License / Request for Trial'. You can use one month trial after registering.



I'm confused with this. But there is no issue running stars with tableoptimizer while running 888caption with 888tables right? Or this means if u using the free version, then dont use it on any tables higher than the micro limits? But then its mentioned you get 1 month free trial of 888caption and full tilt caption.

Yes, Captions has ony a simple site on a Google sites (you can find link in my profile). I'm not a professional on a sites creating, sorry. First time it was a thread on a Russian PokerStrategy forum only, but then I made a simple website on a Google sites.

You can use 888Caption with Stars & Tableoptimizer, it doesn't interact with Stars or any other poker clients / support programs. But note that there are two versions of the program - 888Caption and 888Caption2, for the old 888poker client and for the new one. You must choose the correct 888Caption version depending on which 888poker client you use (you can find info on the site in Downloads section).

There are a two types of free using of 888Caption:
1. You can use it absolutely free at microstakes for unlimited time, so it is like a lifetime microstakes license. You can play any stakes on Stars or iPoker at the same time, 888Caption interacts with 888poker client only.
2. You can activate a one month trial at any time what you want. A after this you can use it at any stakes until end of trial period. After this you can use it for free at microstakes again only.

why 888caption2 has no sng registrator, will it be added?

Yes, it will be added in future versions.
The new 888poker client it is made on another engine, so 888Caption2 is a completely different program compared with 888Caption and not all functions are implemented in it now. Perhaps I'll do it in the next month or two.

If you need SnG registrator, you can downgrade to the old version of 888poker and continue to use 888Caption v0.xx with it.
You can get it here (link to post of 888Rep in Official 888poker thread). In this version of 888poker autoupdate is blocked, so you can use it without updates to the new client.

Thx, I did all that, but i noticed that the only thing not working well for me in 888caption compared to 888caption2 is that when a table needs attention, it steals focus from my current active table, making it impossible to play stacked because of it. I tried disabling the option in 888poker ''bring table to foreground'', but that didnt change anything, then 888caption ''popup table whenever action is required'' unchecked while 888poker setting turned on again, but both did not help and still having same problem. The weird thing is, even when both are turned off, it's still popping up tables that need action and stealing focus from eachother before action has been completed. This makes no sense because nowhere in settings in either 888 or 888caption say table should pop up when action is required. But it is 888caption cause the problem because when it is turned off completely, the games dont popup like it should
Both 888p and 888c run as adminstrator. Everything else works flawless.

It doesn't matter on or off when 888caption is on, somehow tables still popup and stealing focus from eachother when it is turned off.

1. I downloaded 888caption. Then after i started 888poker, it said caption not compatible and required me to down 888caption2. So do most people use 888caption2 then? Or people only use 888caption if they want to auto register for sngs?



2. Also i havent played in 888poker much. But for the betting postflop, i see min, 50 percent, 3/4 and pot. Does 888 not allow you to put custom bet sizing in the client like stars? For example stars allow four betting sizes. So if you wanted, you could have 35%, 45%, 52%, 58% etc. I don't see it at all.


But does 888caption allow this? For example i see in the postflop, it allows you to put the amount that you want to bet postflop for flop, turn and river. So obviously putting 1/2 the pot is a waste for all 3 streets right since 1/2 the pot is already a betting option that is available in the bet sizing? For example let say you want it to be 55% for flop, turn and river. But you also want an option to bet say 40% the pot at any time you want. How does one do this? Is the only way to put it as a hotkey in betting hotkeys?


So basically put 40%+0 BB and make hotkey say f2? And if you want another hotkey of say 80% bet size, put another hotkey? What if you have a certain hotkey for stars. I assume you can't have that same hotkey for 888? Also what hotkeys do most of you people use? Because you can't really use letters since many people type while playing. Are almost all of you using the function keys or something? Seems like there isn't much hotkeys you could use on your keyboard.




3. Is it possible to show the amount of BB in big bold like in tableoptimizer/stars? For example say you have 50bb, well you see it in the top left corner of the table and its in color and bold. So one doesn't have to look at the BB amount in their HEM2 hud since its pretty small? I took a look and i see the Hud tab. I put add new panel for table panel. But how do i put BB in there? I assume this is what is needed to be done to show BB in bold?



4. I play primarily on stars. Do most people just keep the default betting sizes for 888 tournaments? I took a look and it seems the blind level on 888 is completely different from stars. Thus seem strange for people to 3x it when bb is 100. Also what about the 3bet sizing etc. Are these what most ppl keep and don't make any changes at all?



5. Preflop bet sizing. I see there is option to make it 3x, 2.5x or whatever by position. I never did this as i had a default raise size regardless of position. I would change it by myself manually while playing depending on circumstances. But is this for cash game only or for tournament? Because if you have it set at 3x in early position. In tournaments assuming blinds are 200/400 and you have it set as 2.5x... in tournament its 2.5x right? Im assuming that is for cash tables only?

Also i assume the same answerswould be said for partycaption and fulltilt caption?
