Does starcaption have any issue with the old software or the new aurora software now? Haven't played on stars in a bit and heard people said the aurora software is unplayable.


Someone mentioned you could revert back to aurora. Did most ppl here on stars do that?

PaulyJames200x, there may be some small issues (888Caption and PartyCaption also have them), but 99% of the functions work the way they should work.

Yes there is way to revert old engine, but in old Stars versions only (you have to downgrade Stars client from backup at first, and then delete files from ImgCache - you can find instructions if you need it). But most likely, a forced update of the poker client will happen soon and this method will stop working.

Is it possible to add a similar option in StarsCaption for Aurora tables? (Screenshot is from 888Caption).

The Imp, I don't know, but I definitely will explore the possibility of implementing such options.

How can I have different HUD for different table type(9max, 8max, 6max, 4max)? I need my Total pot etc on different spot now, because the Stars Aurora crap.

It is possible for Player panels only, all Table panels have the same coordinates for all table types.
But if you really need different positons, you can try to use this way:
1. Add a panel with formula in Player panels. You can use pot variable or Table panel tags there, for example
{pot}
{pot/bb}
{[totalPot]}
2. You will see 9 panels at 9max table, etc. You can turn off Show panel / for other players, and after it you will see only one panel, but it will work only for tables with hero. Or you can move all panel copies to the same position, and in any case you will see at least one of them, if there is at least one player at the table.

For original Aurora total pot - you can change font of it via Layout editor / Pot. Also I can add option to move it in the future if you need it (as I made it for cards).

I'd love an option in the stars sng registrator to stop the regging of a single game after a certain amount of games. Like I reg 1$ and 3$ but after it has regged 3x3$ in total, it should only reg 1$ afterwars for example.

You can use Options / Save settings backup to export configuration, and Load settings backup to import it back.
If you already have a copied Caption folder on a second PC, then you can just import config from this folder by the same way.

Hi. The Aurora tooltips is a useful feature. Could you also make notes tooltip show when you hover over screenname area? The notes icon is very small and hard to hit. Anyway, great software, pokerstars need people like you, lol.

I'm using PartyCaption Notes instead of PartyPoker Notes lately.
I have a few thoughts/suggestions/ideas.

1. If a PartyCaption Note is already open on a player, can PartyCaption prevent another Note being opened on the player as it gets confusing and I can't be sure if I have saved the earlier note by mistake.
2. Is there any way to save the note without closing the note?
3. I don't know if this exists already, but would it be possible to have notes all display in a special Notes Window where we can keep all the notes aside from the table.

Regarding 1 and 2 thanks , yes I think it would be a good idea to add a save option without closing. Just want to make sure I save the note, but still keep note open.

On point 3, I've added the players nicks to the players HUD and when I click on it, it opens the note. I'd like to have a dedicated window, where notes are displayed, in sort of a table format, because at the moment, it gets very messy when several players notes are open, and it adds yet another task to do to move the note around when playing a few tables. So my idea is once I click on the player on the game table this note could be added to the table and highlighted if not there already, and if there already, just highlighted and ready for viewing editing.

Something like the image below, accept with a dedicated window, and arranged tidier.

For now you can use for this any external software for table placement with custom table types. For example, you can use Table manager 2 in StarsCaption. You can create custom table type there specifically for Note editor, and separate set of slots for this table type only.
If you haven't a license for StarsCaption - you can use it for free for these purposes while you don't play at PokerStars. And you can use it for partypoker table placement too (and you can add support for any other tables if you will need it).

I use the table manager for pokerstars. Is there any way to set up table slots on two monitors? Right now I am just able to create table slots on only one of my monitors.

Also, is there an option to drag a table to an empty (non configurated) slot? I'd love to move tables aside on my second monitor sometimes to sweat all-ins or mark hands for reviewsing purposes.

StarsCaption v.0.72.. I've done something stupid here with the cards and I don't know how to get them back to normal.

Plus, is there a way of making my cards and board's bigger? And a way of moving BTN's positioning?

Also, why my partycaption action will show percentage for betting patterns and starscaption is only displaying the action (shows that someone B, but not B33% like in party)

Oh, I found out. Just put sizing next to actions. And the card above the box is fine as well. So ya, just wanna fix the cards and find out about making cards look bigger and BTN move. Thx. Sorry for the inconvinience

restore cash table $0/$0, isn't working for me on 888.

You can create slots on the 2nd monitor by the same way - turn off table manager, place tables where you need and click Add opened to add slots with these coordinates.

There is no way to move table to a free place while Table manager enabled, so you have to create slot in that place at first.
