Also I have spr as a stat i use in the hud. But many times, it seems like its not correct? So say you are heads up with someone and spr is 10... well it's 10. But say it is 5 with one player and 8 with another, which one does it show?


Also, what is difference between spr and effective spr? And why does starscaption have effective spr on flop with the flopeffspr? But 888caption and partycaption doesn't? I'm confused because well spr should be only flop right? So if you put SPR on 888 and party, it shows for flop, turn and river?

[SPR] is a stack to pot ratio, i.e stack/pot
What do you mean "5 with one player and 8 with another"? Opponents' stacks are not included in the calculation.

[SPR] uses current stack value, [effSPR] uses effective stack value.

[flopEffSPR] is a [effSPR] value at flop beginnig, and it doesn't change later (both [SPR] and [effSPR] values can be changed, because stack and effStack values can be changed).
888Caption and PartyCaption haven't this tag, because it was implemented at the request of one user in StarsCaption and nobody asked for this for the other two programs.

And please don't ask me which tag is better or how to use it. I can only tell you how it works and what it shows, I do not give advice on the strategy.

Hi. I meant say the post flop pot size is 1000 chips. You are 3 handed. You have 5500 chips behind, player 2 has 10000 behind and player 3 has say 6500 chips behind.


Well your stack to pot ratio is 10 with player 2 and 6.5 with player 3.



But you are saying that the stack to pot ratio would show a 5 on caption because all it does is divide your stack with the pot size... and does not regard anything to 1 opponent stack or 2 opponents? Example say it was heads up and 1000 chips in pot after preflop action. You have 8500 chips and your opponent has 5500 chips behind when the flop comes. So your spr should be 5.5 since 5500 is the effective stack of 8500 and 5500. But all caption does is divide your stack then?


But eff spr is what im talking about or spr? I ask this because a while back i used a spr stat on stars and what i noticed was it kept changing... that number kept changing on the flop, turn and river because it keeps calculating it. Example 2 players with 4500 and 6500 chips behind and 1000 chips in pot after preflop action. Well spr is 4.5. But say player bets 500 chips and another player calls... now the spr changes to like 2 since there is 2000 chips left and the smaller stack has 4000 chips behind. I did not like this and never understand why this show because spr... always meant on the flop. Does that make sense?

Your stack is 5500 here and pot is 1000, so your spr is 5500/1000=5.5
[SPR] tag does not take into account the stacks of other opponents in any way.


[SPR] will be 8500/1000=8.5 here and [effSPR] will be 5500/1000=5.5


[SPR] will be changed if stack size or pot size will be changed.
And of course [effSPR] will be changed if effective stack will be changed.

Okay so 888caption shows this correctly with the current payout and what place is the next payout and the next prize payout.


On starscaption... I used the same exact tags and when the tournament is not in the money yet... why does it show the number 3 as the 3rd payout? Also many times throughout a tournament, it doesn't even show how many players are getting paid. Example... on 888... let say mtt starts just an hour in... and not near the money yet... it would show say 36 players pay out and prize is say 10.80 as the prize... which would be 36th place. Then as more players register and buyin... then it could show like 54 players pay out and then show 11.82 as min cash. Then of course when no more late reg, it would show like 80 players paid and say when its itm, it would show current payout is 12.82 and next payout is 40th place and 15.82.


But on starscaption... unless the tournament is in the money... it doesn't seem to do this? And if it does, sometimes it shows up? I played and noticed many times it doesn't even show what is the next payout once its in the money. Is this some kind of bug? The thing is i'm confused why it doesn't show how many players pay out. Also when i put current prize and next payout... many times on stars when mtt starts for a short time, it would show 3rd place and the payout for that when there are over 1000 players left and say its 150 players paid. Do you know why it does that?

Let me know if you need it in 888Capiton/StarsCaption, or if you need a tag for the current date too.

I already wrote that I do not give advice on the strategy of the game. I can only describe how the program works, and that's all. Also, I can try to add some options to the program if you are missing something.

[CH_ITM] tag works by this way, because there is now info about ITM in the Info tab of chat until end of a late registration (CH tags get informaiton from chat).
[TL_ITM] tag works from the very beginning of the tournament, because it gets information from a tournament lobby.

Also you can try to check this and all other TL tags in the Add tag dialog:


And don't forget to enable Options / Autorefresh [TL_...] tags option if you will use TL tags.

I did not check the update tag... but then when i did this... whenever i click on view lobby on my stars table... the lobby shows in my task manager but i can't click on it? right now i cant even view the lobby at the moment at my stars tables...

i untagged it... but now i cant even view any lobby of my stars tables...


I tried to do what i did on 888caption and look for lobby as a panel but its not in starscaption? So how do i even view a stars table view lobby now? Again it shows in the bottom of my computer like where chrome etc is... but when i click on it.. it doesn't pop up on screen.

Okay putting lobby does work. But why does view lobby on stars table not show up lobby?

Try to read text and watch video here. It shows how you can open a lobby in this mode.

When i click on lobby on stars table, i have to click it multiple times for it to work... 888caption works with no issue.


Also i notice when i check autofresh... all the tourney lobbies for my stars tables show up in the bottom of the task manager where chrome windows are... but i cannot even right click and close them?

On partycaption I have a formula to bet randomly something between 2 bet sizes, is there something similar on starscaption?, cuz tried using the same formula but it is not working

About partycaption: When I use right-click to fold a hand, sometimes it will click the window behind the table (or right-click on the desktop). Is there an option to disable this bug?

Do you have both PartyCaption and partypoker client configured to run as admin?
Try to check Options / Test options / Suppress RButton events, do you have it enabled or disabled? (try to switch it and see what it changes)
Do you use RButton or RButtonUp as hotkey?

Is it allowed on wsop.com? I thought they don’t let use any software? Does 888caption work on .it?
