I haven't updated Hand2note recently, this issue only started to happen after the last Starscaption update. I just tested with Starscaption backup settings from 10 days ago and the issue still occurs. So it really does look like, there's an issue with the last update for me.

Is there a way of getting the previous build of StarsCaption so I can verify that the issue doesn't occur with that build?

I got the previous version from the website and reinstalled it. It seems to be working fine in this version.

Yeah. I tried v0.66i, at first I thought it was OK, but the problem is still occuring, what seems to happen is usually the table closes, the Hand2Note Hud remains behind and Satscaption screen goes blank flickers and the whole computer is unusable for about 10 to 20 seconds before everything returns to normal.

I'm trying to figure out what might have happened. I changed my windows theme to an Aero one while testing PartyCaption, maybe this somehow caused an issue. I've changed it to another Theme. I played another few games to test it out and so far no problems. I'm finished for the day though so I'll test it more tomorrow.

Problem is still occuring.

Do you use Aurora or old graphics engine in PokerStars?

If you have HUD / Hovering HUD disabled, then try to enable it (before opening of any tables), or even try to play without HUD (with HUD / Active disabled).
I'm not sure where a conflict may be, but maybe something with HUDs interaction.

I actually think the problem is with Hand2Note and/or Windows itself now and not with Starscaption. I contacted them but got no reply yet.

StarsCaption is almost daily seen as a ransomware by my BitDefender. I've tried to add it as an exceptions but it doesn't solve it.

As a result it automatically closes SC..and Pokerstars at the same time! Obviously very bad since I lose fresh notes every time.

Anyway, any chance somebody would have an idea how to fix this ?

I haven't BitDefender and can't check it directly.
I upload every new version of StarsCapiton to virustotal.com and there are no any detection by BitDefender, so I don't know how to prevent this false alarm.

If you have false positives with your version/settings of BitDefender, then please try to upload it here, and false alarm will be removed by BitDefender support.

As for exceptions - I hope you added StarsCaption as process, not just as file or folder. You need to configure it to not check the behavior of the program - this is not a file antivirus, see "Excluded processes" option here.

I actually found that ransomware scans are different than the antivirus one (like you mentionned) so I was able to exclude the right thing at the right place and now it's all good ;-)

On party, i sometimes play 9 max sngs. But when i do this, the bb stack size and my hud tables with bet sizes are all over the place. So i have to manually move them. But when i do this, i don't save the options after doing this right? Because doing this would make it look not the way i want at the 8 max tables?



Because when i play on party and 8 max at mtt, well i have the bb stacks and table/player panels exactly where i want them.



Also i been just manually registering spins on party. I have partycaption opened when i do this. But everytime i reg a bunch of spins, many times the client would close and then reopen seconds later. Is this a client thing?


Can the spin and go registrator ever auto reg incorrectly a stake? Example right now it shows on registration sequence


($1) Win up to $10000. So highlight the $1 spin and go stake... and check active and thats good to go right? But say you have the check mark on the $50 partypoker spins and click active on the partycaption but it has $1 Win up to $10,000? What happens? Does it auto reg $1 spin or $50 spin? Or it doesn't auto reg at all? Is it possible for it to incorrectly auto reg a different stake?



I ask this because in sngs... i was auto regging some $5 sngs with the sng registrator. But i also had $10 stakes on the place where it shows the type of sngs to register. Thus imagine $10, $5 sngs. The thing was i had 0 max sngs of this type to register for the $10 stake... yet it was still regging $10 sngs when it was suppose to only reg $5 sngs?. So it will auto reg sngs if its in the lobby?

Table panels have the same coordinates at all table types (8max, 9max, etc) and there is no way to change it.
Player panels coordinates are configured separately for each table type.
Keep this in mind when you place the panels on the table.

At least none of the users have ever reported this.
It does the same thing that you do manually. Therefore, the chances of getting the wrong stake are about the same as with manual registration - it clicks to stake in a lobby and then clicks Play now button.

why table manager 2 is it not showing?

I think I have seen a tab called "table manager 2" appear. Tables could be added from other rooms. or am I confused?

Maybe it's only for stars caption?

Ah sorry, I didn’t see your question completely.

Table manager 2 is present in StarsCaption only.
It can work with tables of different rooms and you can use it for free while you don't play at PokerStars (to use it with Stars you will need a license).

Razvik93, you can move HUD panels by right mouse button, or by left button + Ctrl (HUD / Lock HUD option must be disabled to do it).
To make it bigger - select this panel in a HUD / Table panels list, click Font button and choose any font size you need.

Razvik93, there is now way to turn off autogenerate now (but maybe I'll add a such option in the future).
To generate a new value by click you can configure OnClick / New [RNG] value.

Also you can use the same thing (tag + OnClick) in General HUD. There is no autogenerate option and new value can be generated by click only.

Does anyone know if there is a way to add a quick link using StarsCaption linking player name to their SharkScope? I've heard this is a thing but no idea if it actually is or how to enable it.
