Ah OK, I was testing it on an already opened table.

The auto-hide chat option doesn't actually work for me. I have all three options enabled for table cropping, is it possible StarsCaption thinks the tables are a slightly different size than they are and is clicking the wrong place to minimise chat?

Also, when setting a size for the replayer it displays as a smaller size than it should (possibly not taking into account the settings for table cropping). It might be better to be able to define a replayer slot in Table Manager 2, that way the replayer slot can be set for each layout.

Lastly, is it possible for StarsCaption to detect when you've pre-clicked to fold using Pokerstars native hotkeys? For table highlight and activating tables.

The Imp, ok it seems it can be if you have small slot size (smaller than minimum stars table size) in Table manager 2.

You mentioned about the free trial for partypoker users because of the new changes. I pay monthly for my subscription but haven't reloaded in a while.


Last time i had to do a screen name change when i logged into party. But i did not play at party at all. Then i believe i read every month or so, you have to change party sn? Is that true? If so, what screenname am i suppose to give you? I logged into partycaption 2 while party is opened.



It also seems to show the partypoker screenname that i changed over a month ago etc. Am i suppose to give you that? But the license id on the license still shows my old party poker username? How do i activate the free trial?

PaulyJames200x, there are two different License IDs (and license types) available in PartyCaption - account name linked and screenname linked. They can be switched by a checkbox on the License tab (and you will see two different License IDs in depend on a state of this option).

Trial is available for a screenname linked license type only, so to activate a trial you have to turn on that checkbox and click 'Request for Trial' button (this button appears if checkbox is turned on, partypoker client logged in and trial/lisense has been not activated for this nickname).

Hi there. Well I see screenname which is the new party screenname i changed to a while back. I see the account name which is my partypoker username that i always used.


So click on the check mark to the use screenname linked licensed id. It gives message if i do this, read the instructions on your site and read carefully before you do it. And it can stop working if the type will be changed.


So if i want to do the trial, change it to yes. Do i need to email you my screenname to get the trial or not? Or its done automatically? So people that do not want a month trial don't have to do this and can just sign up for it monthly or yearly like normal right? But does changing the license type causes issues? I ask this because i use partycaption and 888caption on a monthly basis as i pay that way as oppose to a year trial.


So if i just pay monthly subscription like i normally do, i just send you the money and then copy my regular license ID like normal?


So after the month trial and i want to continue using the monthly subscription, i have to uncheck the user screenname linked license id and then send you the money and then copy/paste my old partypoker license id?

1. Are the settings all the same like with 888 and party? The only exception i believe would be it doesn't show like the raise, call, fold action? Or are there more things it cannot do?



2. Table layout moving. I mentioned that i have 2 monitors... 1920x1200. I have them regular size tables. So when i have 4 tables, its on one monitor. When i have 8 tables, i keep 4 on each monitor etc. But most importantly, when i move the tables from one quadrant to another... it automatically goes to that spot. So say i have 10 tables going... and that table shows up on my 2nd monitor on the 1st quadrant... i can drag it to 1st monitor 2nd quadrant if i want. Previously a while back, i would do it manually and have to put it exactly over each table as i don't want even a little overlap. I can do this on stars?


The thing is i know i can do this with 888caption. But with partycaption, there was this issue where say you have 2 tables, say quadrant 1 and 2 on a monitor. You want to move say the table to the same 2nd quadrant. Instead of moving there and it being over that table... it would switch spots instead. Has this issue be fixed with partycaption? Or this cannot be fixed? I find it frustrating because say i have 12 tables of partypoker open, i can't have like 8 tables on one monitor and 4 on the other one where i can drag one to a spot without it moving the other one... like exchanging spots.


On 888, i was able to get 6 tables on 2 monitors. But the issue is this.

Whenever an 888 table opens up, its always in either quadrant 1-4 on my 2nd monitor. No big deal because when i move it to another quadrant, it goes there automatically. But i can only move tables to only quadrant 2 or 4 on the 1st monitor. Is there a way to fix this issue? Example if i have 8 tables of 888, say i want to keep them in my 1st monitor only. Well i can only have them in quadrant 2 or 4 on 1st monitor. And thus like 4 tables on each quadrant. But i want to be able to put say 2 tables on one quadrant whether its monitor 1 or monitor 2. Is there a way to fix this? I know with partypoker a while back, you said the moving tables thing was like a glitch? So when playing on party, its frustrating because i have to move each table to exactly the quadrant i want manually. Many times i have 2-3 tables on one single quadrant because i have lot of tables.



3. Autoregister sngs? Spin and goes? I know 888caption and partycaption can do this as i done this a while back.

One other question i have. I use the bb to stack size thing for 888caption sometimes. I have it checked. But in order to use it, you have to check that right? I notice every time any 888 table opens, it shows the bb stack as oppose to actual chips. Then i have to click on a hotkey i use to change it back to actual chip stack. So anytime during play, if i want to turn on/off, i click hotkey. But is it possible to not have the bb stack size shown right when the tables open on 888?


With stars when i use tableoptimizer and i do have the bb stack size checked. But when tables open, its always the actual chip stack which i like. Then whenever i want to turn it on, i click on hotkey. On partypoker... i believe even without the partycaption software, you just click on your stack size and you can switch from bb to chip stack easily. I like that. But with 888caption, can you do this? Or you have to have tables open up with bb stack size. Also if you want to do bb stack size at one table... all the other tables have to show up like that right? Thus you can't pick like okay 100bb stacks... make it bb. But say shorter stack sizes... just show me the real stack size?

You don't need to send me your screename to get a trial - just click 'Request for Trial' and wait for activation (it can get several hours).

After the trial is over, you can pay in any way you like - for a month or for year, for screenname linked License ID or for account name linked - it doesn't matter, your license will work the same.

Some of the settings are the same, some are different.
You can check it yourself and see the description on the site. Stars prohibits some options that party and 888 allows, and also poker clients have some differences, so Captions also have them.

Try to check how Table manager 2 in StarsCaption works.
It can work with all party/888/Stars tables, and you can make different slots for 888 tables, party tables, etc. Each of these slots can work as stacks (so you can put many tables to each slot).

Yes this option doesn't work without handhistories, but I'll try to restore it (although I'm not sure that this is possible).

1. if open_tables < active slots = always active ( ie no point to take table into stack then bring it up )
2. HU tables stay always activated because deactivating them causes a lot of noise.

Also I made an option for multi-stack activation mode in this version. I did not test it for very long, so I would like to ask you (or someone interested in this option) to participate in testing.

To activate this mode, do this:

1) Turn off any other table activation modes (Options / Popup table whenever action is required in StarsCaption and the same option in PokerStars settings).

2) Create Table manager 2 configuration with several stacks of Regular type and without Activated slots.
To evenly spread tables across stacks, turn off the Put all tables to a 1st stack option.

3) Turn on the Multi-stack activation mode option in Table manager 2 configuration.

i'll try to explain an exact sequence that has happened to me in recent days that can maybe help you pinpoint the problem:

Day 1: Take notes in PartyCaption, put computer to sleep at night
Day 2: Old notes still exist, take more notes, put computer to sleep
Day 3: All notes seem to be gone

I tested multistack for 20 mins, it works as expected. There's possibly a bug when ending a session though, after sitting out next bb on all tables they stopped popping to front. I'll keep using it and let you know if it happens next time. Thanks for including this so quickly!

Auto-hide chat still doesn't work for me when using Table Manager 2. It only works if I turn off all table management. Perhaps it's an issue where StarsCaption tries to click while the table is being resized? A small delay could fix it if that's the issue.

I figured out what was wrong with hiding the chat, my table size was wider than normal. I was using 507*350 size tables, the correct ratio is 484*350. Sorry for wasting your time!
